The aim of this study is to point out the uniqueness of Doppler optical coherence tomography (DOCT) for use in a probe station for (in vivo) visualization of microscale flow and structure and to maximize the effectiveness of DOCT by overcoming its limitations. Conventional DOCT produces images of only one of the velocity components that is parallel to the incident light. In this study, a multi-angle DOCT to quantify a velocity vector field is proposed; this is an extension from a velocity scalar field to a vector field. Quantifying an instantaneous three-dimensional velocity field in a pulsating flow is another challenge because of its limited frame rate. The in-vivo pulsating blood flow is measured by using an electrocardiogram-gated multi-angle DOCT in a hamster cheek pouch model. It is shown that the aliasing problem caused by a relatively low frame rate is resolved by using this method of measurement.
The electromagnetic (light) waves have a limitation to penetrate media, ie, water and sea-bottom layers, due to high energy attenuation, but acoustic (sound) waves play as the good messenger to gather the underwater target information. Therefore, the acoustic methods are applied to almost all of ocean equipments and technology in terms of in-water and sub-bottom surveys. Generally the sound character is controlled by its frequency. In case that the sound source is low frequency, the penetration is high and the resolution is low. On the other hand, its character is reversed at the high frequency. The common character at the both of light and sound is the energy damping according to the travel distance increase.

In the past high cost and complex system configuration often discouraged hospitals from building teleradiology system or PACS(Picture Archiving and Communication System). But new standard platforms enable us to construct the same system with very low cost and simple configurations. internet as a communication channel made us overcome the regional limit and communication cost, and WWW technologies simplified the complex problems on the software developments, configurations and installations. So whoever has a Web browser to access internet can review medical images at anywhere. And we adopted DICOM technology which is a standard for medical imaging, thus we could resolve the interface problems among medical imaging systems such as modalities or archives. The implementation is comprised of three part DICOM/WWW interface subsystem, image format conversion subsystem and viewing applets which are displayed on users WWW browsers. In addition, Teleradiology intrenet PACS system includes DICOM converter that non-DICOM file format converts standard file format.

Plate that have cutout inner bottom and girder and floor etc. in hull construction absence is used much, and this is strength in case must be situated, but establish in region that high stress interacts sometimes fatally in region that there is no big problem usually by purpose of weight reduction, a person and change of freight, piping etc.. Because cutout's existence gnaws in this place, and, elastic buckling strength by load causes large effect in ultimate strength. Therefore, perforated plate elastic buckling strength and ultimate strength is one of important design criteria which must examine when decide structural elements size at early structure design step of ship. Therefore, and, reasonable elastic buckling strength about perforated plate need design ultimate strength. Calculated ultimated strength change several aspect ratioes and cutout's dimension, and thickness in this investigation. Used program applied ANSYS F.E.A code based on finite element method.

Due to the fluctuating random and periodical nature of renewable energy generation power quality disturbances occurred more frequently in power generation transformation transmission and distribution. Various power quality disturbances may lead to equipment damage or even power outages. Therefore it is essential to detect and classify different power quality disturbances in real time automatically. The traditional PQD identification method consists of three steps: feature extraction feature selection and classification. However, the handcrafted features are imprecise in the feature selection stage, resulting in low classification accuracy. This paper proposes a deep neural architecture based on Convolution Neural Network and Long Short Term Memory combining the time and frequency domain features to recognize 16 types of Power Quality signals. The frequency-domain data were obtained from the Fast Fourier Transform which could efficiently extract the frequency-domain features. The performance in synthetic data and real 6kV power system data indicate that our proposed method generalizes well compared with other deep learning methods.
There are many restrictions in the application of high-strength HSSs, including yield strength and yield ratio for the 600-MPa steel. The AISC and Canadian codes recommend that the yield strength and yield ratio of HSS members be 360 MPa and 80%, respectively. It is important to understand the true buckling behaviors of HSSs using high-strength steel at the limit states. There are many experimental data regarding the rectangular HSSs, and the circular ones are not enough for high-strength steel. Therefore, this study was conducted to create a better understanding of the buckling behaviors of the 600- and 400-MPa steels based on the results of the finite-element analysis that was done before the experiment. To understand the structural behaviors of the aforementioned steels, the width-to-thickness ratios, the angle of the web members, the yield strength, and the gap of the web members were selected as the main parameters in this study, and ABAQUS, a general finite-element program, was used.As a result, the compression web member reached elastic buckling in the 600-MPa steel and inelastic buckling in the 400-MPa steel. A brittle fracture occurred in the case where the yield ratio was greater than 80%. At the same time, it was found that the limit strength determined via FEM analysis had a higher value compared to the code evaluation with the variation of the width-to-thickness ratio in the main code member. The change in the connection load in high-strength steels was not identified by the other factors.
Conventional active surface wave measurements performed using a transient or continuous source are often limited in the maximum depth of penetration due to the difficulty of generating low-frequency energy with reasonably portable sources. This limitation may inhibit accurate seismic site response calculations because of the inability to define deeper subsurface structure. By measuring surface wave generated by passive sources including microtremors and cultural noise, it is possible to overcome this problem and develop soil stiffness profiles to much larger depth. Reliability of dispersion estimates from the passive surface wave measurements is critical to present reliable shear wave velocity profiles and can be improved by the measurements and analyses of passive surface waves based on correct understanding of systematic errors included in passive dispersion data. In this study, the systematic errors caused by poor wavenumber resolution and energy leakage into sidelobes in passive tests are mainly explored. Recommendations for reliable passive surface wave measurements and dispersion estimates are presented and illustrated at a site in San Jose, California, U.S.

Coenzyme $Q_{10}$($CoQ_{10}$), a vitamin E-like substance, represents a components of the complex antioxidant system of the human organism. $CoQ_{10}$ levels in human plasma were determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with UV detection. It was dissociated from lipoproteins by methanol and extracted into n-hexane with liquid-liquid extraction procedure, after centrifugation, the supernatant was dried under nitrogen gas stream. The residue was dissolved in the absolute ethanol. Determination of $CoQ_{10}$ was performed on a $C_{18}$ reversed-phase analytical column with ultraviolet detection at 275 nm and the mobile phase containing 15% (v/v) ethanol in methanol at a flow rate of 1.7 mL/min. The low limit of quantitation was 0.02 mg/L (S/N=10), the linearity between the concentration and peak height is from 0.1 to 2.0 mg/L. Twenty-four randomly selected plasma samples from apparently healthy, 27 to 44 year old individuals (males and females) were analyzed for total $CoQ_{10}$. The average level in these subjects was $0.62{\pm}0.13mg/L$ with the range of 0.41-0.98 mg/L. This method has a specific and a sufficient limit of quantitation (LOQ) for analysis of $CoQ_{10}$ in human plasma in both a clinical study and research at laboratories.
Aerosol Optical Properties (AOPs) are retrieved using the geostationary satellite instruments such as Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI), Meteorological Imager (MI), and Advanced Himawari Imager (AHI) through Yonsei AErosol Retrieval algorithm (YAER). In this study, the retrieved aerosol optical depths (AOD)s from each instrument were intercompared and validated with the ground-based sunphotometer AErosol Robotic NETwork (AERONET) data. As a result, the four AOD products derived from different instruments showed consistent results over land and ocean. However, AODs from MI and GOCI tend to be overestimated due to cloud contamination. According to the comparison results with AERONET, the percentage within expected errors (EE) are 36.3, 48.4, 56.6, and 68.2% for MI, GOCI, AHI-minimum reflectivity method (MRM), and AHI-estimated surface reflectance from shortwave Infrared (ESR) product, respectively. Since MI AOD is retrieved from a single visible channel, and adopts only one aerosol type by season, EE is relatively lower than other products. On the other hand, the AHI ESR is more accurate than the minimum reflectance method as used by GOCI, MI, and AHI MRM method in May and June when the vegetation is relatively abundant. These results are explained by the RMSE and the EE for each AERONET site. The ESR method result show to be better than the other satellite product in terms of EE for 15 out of 22 sites used for validation, and they are better than the other product for 13 sites in terms of RMSE. In addition, the error in observation time in each product is found by using characteristics of geostationary satellites. The absolute median biases at 00 to 06 Universal Time Coordinated (UTC) are 0.05, 0.09, 0.18, 0.18, 0.14, 0.09, and 0.10. The absolute median bias by observation time has appeared in MI and the only 00 UTC appeared in GOCI.
Mean background concentrations of greenhouse gases such as $CO_2$ and $CH_4$ were estimated on Ulleungdo using PICARRO Cavity Ring-Down Spectroscopy (CRDS) analyzer. To improve the accuracy of $CO_2$ and $CH_4$ concentrations, a standardized QA${\cdot}$QC (Quality Assurance Quality Control) procedure was employed with three steps: 1) the inspection procedure of physical limitation (e.g. the exclusion of data corresponding to the number of data of ${\leq}$50%) for hourly mean values, 2) a stage inspection (e.g. the use of data corresponding to ${\geq}15$ observations per day) for daily mean values, and 3) a fast fourier transform (FFT) analysis using curve-fitting methods for the investigation of climatic characteristics. The monthly mean concentrations of $CO_2$ and $CH_4$ derived from three-step QA${\cdot}$QC procedure were then compared with those observed at Anmyundo (Korea) and Ryori (Japan). Overall, the error of mean $CO_2$ and $CH_4$ concentrations estimated in this study distinctly decreased. However, in comparison with their concentrations monitored at Ryori, the $CO_2$ concentration at estimated at Ulleungdo is soemwhat lower than that of Anmyundo due to the missing data, which is statistically significant. On the other hand, the former has a statistically significant higher value of $CH_4$ that of the latter.
