Much research has been conducted in educational robot, a new instructional technology, for K- 12 education. Several studies have shown that educational robot provides effective learning opportunities for students in both content areas of STEM(science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and critical academic skills, such as collaboration, problem solving and communication skills. However, most studies to date on applications of educational robots have been conducted outside the formal education setting. This study analyzed the influence of using robots in an elementary school science class in Korea with regard to science learning motivation. A total of 121 students in fourth and fifth grades participated in the study. The experimental group was taught using robots in the science class, while the control group was taught using traditional methods. Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was conducted to compare the between-group differences in learning motivation before and after the experiment; an interview was also conducted for the experimental group. The study results showed a significant improvement (p<.05) in both learning motivation in the experimental compared with the control group. There was also positive response to learning with a robot. This study will play an important role in research on the use of educational robot in formal education in the future.
This study investigated the relationships of the self-regulated learning strategies used in both science and English classes and motivation to academic performance of science-gifted high school students. Participants of this study were 144 freshmen of Korea Science Academy It was found out that the use of self-regulation learning strategies and motivation exerts differential influence on the academic performance of science-gifted students, depending on the subjects they study. Results showed that they used more vigorously in science class those self-regulated strategies which consist of cognition, metacognition, and resource management strategies than in English class. In addition, their motivation level in science class was significantly higher than that in English class. Self-regulated strategies did not explain any variance in physics GPA. Task value among the motivation variables accounted for 2 percent of variance in physics GPA. Metacognition and time and study environment variables explained 8 percent and 15 percent of variance in English GPA, respectively. Self-efficacy in motivation accounted for 30 percent of variance in English GPA, These results were discussed in the light of instruction for science-gifted high students.
This study investigated the effects of utilizing 3D printed teaching aids on academic achievement and learning motivation in a non-face-to-face learning environment during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study was divided into an experimental and a comparison group that applied traditional lecture-based teaching and self-directed learning using 3D printed teaching aids and videos. The results of the study showed that the experimental group using 3D printed brain puzzles improved their academic performance compared to the comparison group using traditional lectures. This may be due to the fact that visual and experiential learning helped students to acquire knowledge on their own. The brain puzzles provided an interesting learning experience for the students, and their overall satisfaction with the class was also positive. These results indicate that teaching with teaching aids can increase students' motivation to learn and improve their academic performance. Therefore, the active introduction of 3D printed teaching aids in the non-face-to-face learning environment caused by COVID-19 is expected to improve the quality of education through innovation in learner-centered teaching methods.
Lately, teaching methods and instruments have become student-centered and are directed towards developing a communicative competence of learners. However, compared with that of other countries, the level of our students English is not very good. I guess the reason is that our English education is focused on the uniformal teaching methods regardless of the differences of intelligence, affective domains and study time. I tried to find the relationship between these factors and the students' English accomplishments. So I divided the students into 2 groups of superior and inferior students by the standard of intelligence, affective domain and study time and compared the scores between the groups in the fields of reading comprehension, grammar, pronunciation, accent, vocabulary, and listening. These were the results that followed: First, intelligence has a great influence students' English accomplishment in all fields. Second, affective domains such as motivation, anxiety, attitude, confidence, and studying time also have some influence on the students' English accomplishments. Third, the sequence of these factors according to their influence force are as follows: study time, anxiety, intelligence, motivation, attitude, and confidence. So we can conclude that we should teach English according to our students' ability in the field of intelligence and affective domains and should not ignore the individual differences they have.

According to a comparison study of international academic achievements, Korean students showed high academic achievements in science and mathematics, whereas their learning motivation appeared relatively low. Therefore, this work developed the robot-based STEM integrated education program reflecting an engineering class model. The title of the program is determined as 'animals' which are included in one section of the fourth grade science curriculum, are friendly to students, and are effective for robot application. Robot-based STEM program is consisted of three areas: robot education, subject-related course learning, and engineering education. The STEM program was reviewed by 14 teachers. The study result presented that regardless of knowledge of robot, most teachers gave positive response to program goal, composition of contents, application of robot.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of teacher's mathematical belief and student's mathematical performance, sex on the perception of mathematics classroom quality. And this study also detailed the relation between self-directed learning attitude and perception of mathematics classroom quality. For this purpose, this study used 'Students Perception of Mathematics Classroom Quality(SPOCQ)' as an instrument. This instrument focuses on appeal, challenge, choice, meaningfulness, self-efficacy. The 430 5th and 6th grade elementary school students were included in sample. The results obtained in this research are as follows; First, there was a significant difference in the perception of mathematics classroom quality between positive mathematical belief teacher's group and negative mathematical belief teacher's group. So, teacher's mathematical belief influence on the students' perception of mathematics classroom quality. Second, there was a significant difference according to the student's mathematical performance and sex. The students of high mathematical performance usually had positive perception of mathematics classroom quality and the male students also had higher mean than female students. Third, there was positive correlation between self-directed learning attitude and perception of mathematics classroom quality.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the teaching-learning effect of using self-regulated learning strategy on experimental classes for the 'kinetics' unit of 10th grade science textbook. Six classes were chosen and classified into two groups: the first group, the control group, was taught with the regular laboratory activity and the other group, the experimental group, was taught with the teaching-learning method using self-regulated learning program. After the laboratory activity for the unit using self-regulated learning program, the mean values of the scientific inquiry, scientific attitudes, and performance assessment of the experimental group were larger than those of the control group. There were significant differences between the two groups in the post-test. With the results of the post-test for the experimental group, the self-regulated learning program has significant relationships on scientific inquiry, scientific attitudes, and scientific achievements.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of Team-based learning(TBL) program on learning motivation and learning attitude in nursing students. This study was an one-group pretest-posttest design. Nursing students were participated. TBL program was carried out for 100 minutes a week for 4weeks. Data were collected by questionnaires from nursing students from 4, October to 11, November, 2011. Data were analyzed by paired t-test. After TBL program, significant improvement was found in learning motivation and learning attitude. The purpose of this research is to increase mathematical problem solving abilities VIa STAD evaluation after completing classes. to which ST AD group study is applied, and promoting the learning accomplishments of students by developing gradual self-leading learning materials about the research project on ' How to use an hour math class efficiently\ulcorner ' For this purpose, the items below were studied. Firstly, gradual self-leading learning materials were developed and applied which were composed of textbook abstracts, basic problems, developing problems and intensive problems rather than existing textbooks. Secondly, the ST AD group study model was selected and applied which invokes competitions among small groups of which learning goals were clear. individual responsibility was important. and successive opportunities were equal. The evaluation using STAD at each end of a chapter was announced instantly using the EXCEL scoring system. Though the results of experimental classes were limited in their size. experimental time, and class selection, there were meaningful changes in the aspect of being able to heighten the accomplishment desire of students by inducing voluntary competitions among small groups without any student omitted. As the result of applying this research to my class, the ST AD group study using gradual self-leading learning materials invoked the interests of students and increased learning accomplishments via increasing problem solving abilities in mathematics. The ST AD group study was easy to use by beginning teachers, and its process was simple. It increased interactions among students and learning motives because its compensation system was open to all students. Among various studying methods for small groups. STAD group study is expected to be widely used for mathematics classes.
