The analysis and evaluation of a cooperation with computer which affects to the achievement degree for studying (컴퓨터를 이용한 협동학습이 학업성취도에 미치는 영향분석 및 평가)

  • The present time, their affect on modern teaching-learning methodology, especially that of cooperative learning is most noticeable through E-learning, ICT(Information Communication Technology), application of Computer, and the Internet. This paper evaluate and analyze a cooperation with computer which affects to the achievement degree for studying. Especially, this paper analyzes the degree and duration of computer usage, and then analyzes the ripple effects on the individuals positivity and participation. And, this paper estimate the different of students' scholastics attainment according to sex, environment and computer usage ability.

Integrating Multiple Classifiers in a GA-based Inductive Learning Environment (유전 알고리즘 기반 귀납적 학습 환경에서 분류기의 통합)

  • We have implemented a multiclassifier learning approach in a GA-based inductive learning environment that learns classification rules that are similar to rules used in PROSPECTOR. In the multiclassifier learning approach, a classification system is constructed with several classifiers that are obtained by running a GA-based learning system several times to improve the overall performance of a classification system. To implement the multiclassifier learning approach, we need a decision-making scheme that can draw a decision using multiple classifiers. In this paper, we introduce two decision-making schemes: one is based on combining posterior odds given by classifiers to each class and the other one is a voting scheme based on ranking assigned to each class by classifiers. We also present empirical results that evaluate the effect of the multiclassifier learning approach on the GA-based inductive teaming environment.

  • With the popularity of smart phones for mobile learning on the rise, cyber universities in Korea are trying to build a reliable mobile campus infrastructure. Such advances in smart phone technologies have made it increasingly easy for users to stay connected and this heightened interaction through smart phones has educational potential for collaborative learning. Thus, to fulfill its educational potential and ultimately provide optimal learning environments on the smart phones, this study has developed a discussion-based interface prototype for collaborative learning. The proposed interface design was evaluated through cognitive walkthrough of the expert reviewers and its usability improvements were also offered.

  • Many studies on algorithm judging system which verifies the correctness and the time efficiency of your program have been underway recently, most of which are on an online judging system focused on programming contests. However this study is mainly about development and application of the judging system based on client-server. Especially, we designed to promote metacognition and motivation which are emphasized in CRESST model, and implemented the total system that consists of the problem, data set, validation program, and user service environments. We applied our system to elementary, middle, and high school students, and We noticed a significant difference of average score between the experimental and control group in posttest and concluded that the teaching method using our system gave the bigger positive effects on programming learning.

  • Learner-oriented education and distance education based on Information & Communication technology are educational countermeasure to various demands of Information age. Especially Web has the characteristics of providing proper environments for implementing constructivism study theory. Yet, existing web-based evaluation system is implemented by HTML and Java script so it has low interaction and imperfect educational effects. Therefore, We evaluated students' study understanding ability of real-time distance education system and analyzed evaluation results to offer useful information for level study considering individual variation. In this thesis, with these results, we designed and implemented interworking and multimedia databank system without time and space limitations on Client/Server environment.

  • 컴퓨터의 보급이 보편화 되면서 컴퓨터 보유 가정이 기하급수적으로 증가되고 있다. 이로 인하여 컴퓨터로 할 수 있는 일이 늘어나고, 활용분야 역시 다양해지고 있다. 특히 과거의 교수-학습 방법과는 달리 최근에 많은 분야에서 연구되고 있는 E-러닝, ICT, 컴퓨터 활용, 인터넷 등을 접목하여 학생들의 협동심과 책임감을 요하는 협동학습에 적용하고자 하는 연구가 진행 중이다. 그런데, 협동학습의 집단은 크게 인문계열, 실업계열 고등학생 집단과 중학생 집단으로 분류한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 컴퓨터를 활용하는 정도와 이용시간 등을 학습에 얼마만큼 도움이 되는지 분석하고, 계열별로 집단을 구분하여 학생들의 집단에서 개인의 적극성과 참여정도에 대한 영향이 집단 전체에 미치는 파급효과를 분석한다. 마지막으로 학업성취에 대한 학생들의 성적차이의 관점을 분석하고, 성별에 따른 학업성취도 차이, 주변 환경에 따른 영향력의 정도, 협동학습의 결과 학업성취도의 변화를 평가한다.

  • 본 논문은 비대면 한국어 회화 시험 연습용 안드로이드 애플리케이션을 제안한다. 한국어 학습에 대한 수요가 증가함에 따라 효과적인 한국어 회화 학습을 위해선 시·공간의 제약이 없는 학습 환경에서 사용자에게 구체적인 평가 지표를 제공할 필요성이 있다. 본 연구는 자연어 처리 기술을 활용하여 사용자의 한국어 회화 능력을 평가하는 알고리즘과 개인의 취약점을 보완할 수 있는 비대면 학습 플랫폼을 제시하였다는데 의의가 있다. 본 논문의 결과를 통해 회화 학습의 비용을 절감하고, 효율적인 언택트 학습 지원이 가능할 것으로 기대한다.

Quantitative evaluation of transfer learning for image recognition AI of robot vision (로봇 비전의 영상 인식 AI를 위한 전이학습 정량 평가)

  • This study suggests a quantitative evaluation of transfer learning, which is widely used in various AI fields, including image recognition for robot vision. Quantitative and qualitative analyses of results applying transfer learning are presented, but transfer learning itself is not discussed. Therefore, this study proposes a quantitative evaluation of transfer learning itself based on MNIST, a handwritten digit database. For the reference network, the change in recognition accuracy according to the depth of the transfer learning frozen layer and the ratio of transfer learning data and pre-training data is tracked. It is observed that when freezing up to the first layer and the ratio of transfer learning data is more than 3%, the recognition accuracy of more than 90% can be stably maintained. The transfer learning quantitative evaluation method of this study can be used to implement transfer learning optimized according to the network structure and type of data in the future, and will expand the scope of the use of robot vision and image analysis AI in various environments.

Constructive Induction for a GA-based Inductive Learning Environment (유전 알고리즘 기반 귀납적 학습 환경을 위한 건설적 귀납법)

  • Constructive induction is a technique to draw useful attributes from given primitive attributes to classify given examples more efficiently. Useful attributes are obtained from given primitive attributes by applying appropriate operators to them. The paper proposes a constructive induction approach for a GA-based inductive learning environment that learns classification rules that ate similar to rules used in PROSPECTOR from given examples. The paper explains our constructive induction approach in details, centering on operators to combine primitive attributes and methods to evaluate the usefulness of derived attributes, and presents the results of various experiments performed to evaluate the effect of our constructive induction approach on the GA-based learning environment.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest directions to improve engineering education and the assessment system of our country. For this object, the present situation of engineering education and assessment system in Korea have been reviewed and next, for those of study, the research papers and publications about the environment of college education are analyzed. Finally, an improved assessment system is suggested. It has already passed out for 6 years since execute the accreditation for engineering education in our country now, but essential point for step in accreditation for engineering education is how the evaluator can make the outcomes of studying. This is not a new terminology that is deformed according to special quality of college of engineering which prefer out-come based of study than process based of study to mean accomplishment in engineering education. The evaluation that estimate program is a skill, but an assessment method is not the meaning of individual student accomplishment also, it is the measure of validity estimation that should be estimate ability of students who complete program by proper authority. However, a new evaluation strategy that assess student outcome by person who consider the objectivity and validity, reliability should be develop for decision making of ABEEK. It is an original, private discussion for assessment strategy about the method for student learning outcomes assessment.
