Intelligent learning system based on the profile of learner (학습자 프로파일 기반의 지능형 학습 시스템)

  • Typical Web-based learning system is operating the variety of learning contents. However, it is not easy to efficiently select appropriate learning contents. In this paper, we propose a learning content delivery method that can provide the most suitable preferences and feedback to the learner. By analyzing the profile of the learner, it determines the positive feedback and evaluation to be provided to the learner. The result of applying learning techniques were applied to provide the best learning content to adaptively out the form. The proposed method appears as a learning experience and learning outcomes are higher after a study was conducted to suggest that could help in the learning progress of the students themselves. This paper are applied to real learners. And the learners using the system were surveyed by the questionnaire on learning experience and learning outcomes were analyzed.

Analysis of Scratch code for Student Assessment about Computational Thinking Capability (Computational Thinking 역량에 대한 학습자 평가를 위한 스크래치 코드 분석)

  • The purpose of this research is to suggest the method of code analysis for evaluating learners' projects in computational thinking(CT) education. Recently, block programming tools are applied to K-12 SW education, this study considered the assessment method for evaluating students' levels and learning about CT concepts through analyzing codes of the Scratch projects that students created. As a result from the analysis of 45 projects of novices, it showed the bad coding patterns of novices and verified that it is possible to evaluate students' learning about CT concepts through the analysis of their codes. The higher learner's level, the greater scores of logical thinking, synchronization, flow control, and data representation. This result is able to apply to student assessment of CT concepts in K-12 SW education.

  • 초보 학습자의 프로그래밍 과정에서 발생하는 오류는 다양하며 학습자가 스스로 오류 분석을 하거나 수정은 어렵다. 이에 본 논문은 블록 프로그래밍 기반의 교육 플랫폼인 에듀비를 활용하여 오류 분석 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 분석 방안의 활용 가능성을 확인하기 위해 실제 학습자들이 분류모델을 생성하고 평가하는 과제를 수행하였고 학습자들이 과제를 수행하면서 발생한 오류사례에 대해 분석하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 원격강좌(콘텐츠 기반)를 이용하여 학습하는 학습자들의 학습 형태를 분석하여 효율적인 원격강좌 운영을 위한 제도 마련에 대한 필요성을 제시하고자 하였다. 학습자들이 원격강좌를 학습한 정규교과 1년의 데이터를 가지고 분석한 결과 학습자들은 오후8시부터 자정까지 학습하는 빈도가 가장 높았다. 이는 교과 구분 형태인 전공/교양 모두에서 나타나는 분석결과였다. 또한 요일별로 분석해 보면 특정 요일에 학습의 빈도가 높았는데 이 요일은 한 주간의 강의가 종료되는 요일이었다. 이러한 분석 결과를 기반으로 효율적인 원격강좌가 운영되기 위한 제도적 보완 - 원격강좌별로 종료되는 요일을 달리한다든지 -을 생각해 볼 필요가 있다 하겠다.

  • 교수학습에서 발생하는 다양한 데이터를 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 학습자를 이해하기 위한 학습 분석에 대한 연구가 증가하고 있다. 그러나 교수학습지원시스템에서 생성되는 데이터는 다양한 형식으로 이를 결합하고 통합하기 위해서는 표준화된 사용 메타데이터가 필요하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 학습자 관점에서 교수학습 활동 중심의 데이터 모델을 제안한다. 이는 학습자의 학습양식을 바탕으로 학습 이벤트가 발생할 때 참여 활동한 데이터를 표현하기 위한 것이다. 이를 통해 학습자의 특성을 식별하고 학습활동에 참여 정도를 파악하여 학습자를 지원하기 위한 것이다.

Structural Relationship among Self-Directed Learning Ability, Learner-Instructor Interaction, Learner-Learner Interaction, and Class Satisfaction in Online Learning Environments (온라인 학습에서 자기주도학습능력, 상호작용 및 수업만족도의 구조적 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural relationship among self-directed learning ability, learner-instructor interaction, learner-learner interaction, and class satisfaction in online learning environments by the structural equation modelling (SEM). Participants of the study consisted of 300 students (110 = high school students, 190 = college students). Through latent mean analysis (LMA), there was no significant difference of study variables between high school and college groups. However, thorough multi-group analysis, self-directed learning ability had a direct and indirect effect on class satisfaction for the college group via learner-instructor and learner-learner interactions, while learner-learner interaction played a full mediating role of the relationship between self-directed learning ability and class satisfaction for the high school group. In addition, self-directed learning ability had a stronger influence on learner-learner interaction for the college group than the high school group. These results would provide important implications for understanding the different mechanisms between high school and college online learning contexts.

A study on the analysis of unstructured data for customized education of learners in small learning groups (소규모학습그룹의 학습자 맞춤형 교육을 위한 비정형데이터분석 연구)

  • As the e-learning market expands, interest in customized education for learners based on artificial intelligence is increasing. Customized education for learners requires essential components such as a large amount of data and learning contents for learner analysis, and it requires time and cost efforts to collect such data. In this paper, to enable efficient learner-tailored learning even in small learning groups, unstructured learner data was analyzed using python modules, and a learning algorithm was presented based on this. Through the analysis of the unstructured learning data presented in this paper, it is possible to quantify and measure the unstructured data related to learning, and the accuracy of more than 80% was confirmed when analyzing keywords for providing customized education for learners.

An analysis of Self-perceived Communication Apprehension by Learning Styles of Engineering Students (공과대학생의 학습양식에 따른 의사소통 불안인식 분석 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate between learning styles and communication apprehension of Engineering students. Participants were 405 first-year Engineering cohort. Following were the results: First, 80 percent were classified as Reflective learners, 61 percent were classified as Sensing learners, 73.1 percent were classified as Visual learners, and 66.7 percent were classified as Global learners. Second, the result showed that there was a significant difference in learning style by gender. Most female learners were Reflective, while most male learners were Active. Lastly, the finding revealed that there were significant differences in communication apprehension on Perception and Processing dimension. Sensing students demonstrated higher level of communication apprehension than Intuitive students and Reflective students shown higher level of communication apprehension than Active students. For the program developing Engineering students' communication skills, implications for reducing students' communication apprehension based on the type of learning styles were discussed.

  • 이 연구에서는 프로젝트 기반 초등수학교육에서 학업성취도와 수학적 태도에 대한 학습양식의 효과를 분석하였다. 이 연구는 프로젝트 기반 초등수학교육이 어떤 양식의 학습자에게 학업성취도와 수학적 태도 신장에 더 효과적인지 검증하여, 학습자 중심교육 환경 설계에 시사점을 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 104명의 초등학생을 대상으로 Kolb의 자기보고식 검사지를 사용하여 분산자, 융합자, 수렴자, 적응자 학습양식으로 분류하고, 4주간 12차시에 걸쳐 프로젝트 기반 수학교육을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 학습양식이 학업성취도와 수학적 태도 향상에 효과를 나타내었다. 프로젝트 기반 초등수학교육은 수렴자 학습양식의 학업성취도 향상에 효과적인 것으로 판단되었다. 또한, 수학적 태도의 세부요인에서는 수렴자 학습양식의 자신감, 목적의식 신장과 융합자 학습양식의 흥미신장에 효과적인 것으로 판단되었다.

An Analysis on the Characteristics of the Information Science Gifted Students through Observational Evaluation (관찰평가를 통한 정보과학영재의 특성 분석)

  • This dissertation was aimed at finding an implication of selecting and educating the gifted of information science discovering features of gifted learner in the field of math and science and the gifted of information science through comparative analysis of observing evaluation for the gifted of information science. Subjects of the study are foundation course learners of University Science Education Institute for the Gifted in the field of physics, earth science, math, information science. We have compared the features of learners of each field through one-way ANOVA about an observing evaluation for one year. In consequence, information science learners showed mostly different features from physics and earth science learners in details of an attitude area and a problem solving area. And an analysis of each subject of information science learners showed that the test of attitude area in the fields of math and information was relatively superior to that of science. On this, the researcher concluded that there must be features of the gifted on information science and their difference from gifted learners in math and science was caused by learner levels and features of each field. Based on the result of this study, we expect that we can imply it to selecting and educating the gifted of information science.
