This study determined the effect of self-regulated learning on the attitude and related skills of information literacy in school library project learning. In addition, in-depth interview was administered in order to investigate fundamental reasons for such effects. The results are cognitive regulation ability, motivational regulation ability, behavioral regulation ability proved to have statistically significant effect on the attitude and related skills of information literacy. In-depth interview analysis yielded the following components: cooperative learning, experience in information environment, time pressure, exposure to information literacy education, motivation, relationship with school teachers, delayed gratification, and prior knowledge.

The purpose of this study is to propose the management strategies of libraries through exploring the library environment in ubiquitous era. After the internal and external environment of Korean libraries was investigated by papers related with this study, the comprehensive management strategies of libraries were prepared. Five management strategies for library development in ubiquitous era were proposed. They were the strategies of library hybridization, collecting contents, user service diversification, changing library organization and preparing culture of learning organization, and collecting library fund.

IFLA(국제도서관협회연맹)의 어린이/청소년 도서관분과(Libraries for Children and Young Adults Section)는 전세계의 어린이 및 청소년을 위한 도서관 발전에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 평생학습의 중요성, 어린이의 독서, 그들의 정보를 제공받을 권리에 대한 인식을 고양시키고 있다. The purpose of this study was to assess the performance of Korean public libraries based on the national representative sample using Vakkari and Serola's (2012) public library outcome scale. Conducting a web-based survey to 1,000 Korean adults nationwide, the responses of 629 respondents who had visited the public library in the past year were analyzed. Results showed that, among the 19 benefit areas, "reading fiction and non-fiction" was the most perceived benefit area followed by "acquiring educational opportunities", and "self-development during leisure time". The benefits were considerably lowly perceived in the rest 16 areas. Different from the original four-factor structure, "reading/self development" were emerged as a new factor in this Korean sample. The benefits were perceived differently by citizens with different socio-demographic backgrounds. Results informed the current status of the public library performance and values perceived by the general Korean adults population across the nation.

This study suggests the application of library assisted instruction(LAI) by analyzing Japanese social studies text-books that are configured for the library assisted instruction and cooperative instruction. The results of the analysis found that the use of a variety of materials and curriculum integrated skills instruction is reflected in the social studies text-books in Japan. Based on the results, this study suggested the strategies of the application of library assisted instruction(LAI) in three separated proposals. revision of related laws, organizational joint between teacher librarian and subject teachers, textbooks development for Information literacy instruction.

An university form alliance with the organic relationships the community as a delivery room of human cultural in it's formation and development. The university library is to service knowledge and information resources of it to residents, and education R&D learning of a university constituent. This study research and analyse to the service status of the university library in home abroad and consider necessity and importance of the community solidarity of it. Also it brings up the plans to revigority the community solidarity and services of university libraries in the side of lifelong study, R&D support, knowledge and information service, the community contribution and so on.

This study analyzed cases of collaborative classes between a teacher librarian and Chinese language teacher by applying problem-based learning (PBL) and intended to propose a desirable direction for class in operating collaborative classes of PBL. In order to achieve this purpose, methods to raise problems by BPL at the library of S High School, class content by each round of class, and cases of students' achievements were presented. In addition, statistical analysis of interest in subjects on 101 students in their sophomore year who had participated in PBL class was conducted. According to the study result, students' learning-related desire to accomplish, executive ability of learning, and interest were significantly improved.

The school library media specialists offer the users assistance in using information resources and instructional media by assessing, evaluating and selecting the most appropriate materials for the present educational situation in school. The format of the information media and the scope of the media center collection have constantly been changed by information technology. Media specialist has to know the selection criteria to be capable of providing any media format in the technological society, particularly of providing instruction software(courseware), multimedia, hypermedia and digital reference service to maintain the school library media center as one of the user oriented educational information centers. This paper presents the selection criteria for the instruction media by media format as one of the useful guidelines to the media specialist.

The purpose of this study is to examine how the content components of information literacy textbooks develop and is to find implications for improving of textbook publication. Three kinds of information literacy textbooks were published sequentially over time. The content components of 『Information and media』(1996) and 『Library and information skills』(2011) are processed by filament structure and 『Information and library』(2002) has a topic-driven project activity. Generally, a small lesson unit of the textbook consisted of three components (learning goals, learning contents, learning activities) and each component in the unit have to make semantic close relationships. However, in some information literacy textbooks, there are cases that the semantic relationship between goals, contents, and activities are cut off. This disconnection cases can be a fatal drawback for the reliability of textbooks, so sufficient attention is needed to develop information literacy textbooks later.

The objective of this study is to work out a data-based educational and cultural program that can best identify the original role of library in a measure to activate it. To achieve this goal and introduce an educational and cultural program that would faithfully meet the desired characters of library, a research was made to examine the theoretical aspects of educational and cultural programs offered by public libraries, compare and analyze those conducted at the public libraries and life-long educational centers of the local autonomous bodies in Jeonbuk Province. Included in the research as subjects were 10 public libraries in the cities of the province including 5 branches of JeonJu Municipal Library and various educational and cultural programs operated directly by each municipal self-governing body under such title names as life-long educational centers, cultural houses, residential autonomy centers, women's halls, women's culture halls and women culture centers.
