A Study on Community Space Planning for Pro-social Schools (친사회적 학교 커뮤니티 공간계획에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to reveal the process of forming a community in the school and to present the basic data necessary for the establishment of a social sustainable environment and space for future school space. In addition to a new awareness of time, it was carried out to help students understand the community forming space in the school. The purpose of this study was to investigate the formation process and characteristics of resting time community in the school. As a result of the analysis on the formation of community space in the school, there were many opinions that community space for social communication and interaction promotion in school is all without difference by gender and grade, and as a space which is considered to be most suitable as community space. A hallway alcove space, a small space adjacent to the classroom, and a multipurpose staircase. In addition, students wanted to make the communication activities such as meeting, communication, relaxation, and social exchange into the hall and corridor space in the corridor as the most desirable community space.

Analyzing Community CPTED Perception of Local Residents in the School Areas (학교 주변 커뮤니티 CPTED에 관한 지역 주민의 인식 연구)

  • In recent days, school violence has been rising as a significant social problem. The occurrence of school violence can be fueled by a wide range of social and environmental contexts, thus it is very difficult to come up with the ultimate solution. Community CPTED program is one of the more comprehensive set of efforts that has been developed to prevent crime in general, and the primary focus of the study is to investigate suitable components of CPTED to prevent school violence based on the physical conditions of communities as well as the perception of residents outside of school grounds, in the vicinity of schools. Three sets of analyses in series were employed in the research. First, Ward's minimum-variance cluster analysis was used to classify the places where school violence can occur outside of school grounds based on the physical conditions recognized by local residents. Next, Importance-Performance Analysis was performed to analyze the perception of local residents about the importance and the effectiveness of CPTED components in preventing school violence. Subsequently, Ordered Logit Model was used to analyze the local residents' awareness on safety regarding school violence in their community space. Combining the results of the analyses, the priority of the community CPTED applications to prevent school violence outside of school was derived. Reflecting the local residents' perception on safety of students in their community, the sense of security in communities against school violence can be reinforced by the communities' sensible efforts in creating safer environment for their students.

A Study on Teacher Community for Professional Development (전문성 향상을 위한 교사 커뮤니티에 관한 고찰)

  • The purpose of this study is to contribute research on mathematics education by reviewing earlier studies on teachers' communities. To do so, I searched literature on various kinds of teacher community such as study groups, video clubs, and lesson study. Teacher community has been studied for professional development of teachers and there existed many studies that teacher community help teachers develop their professionals in real. From reviewing literature, I suggest that researchers in Korea need to study about teachers' communities and to find ways using communities in teacher development programs.

  • 대부분 학교에서 운영하고 있는 홈페이지는 대외적으로 교육활동을 홍보하고 대내적으로는 업무의 효율성과 학습자료 탑재를 위해 사용되고 있다. 그러나 홈페이지간의 연계기능이 없어 각 학교의 특색있는 교육정보나 자료 공유가 제대로 이루어질 수 없는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 각 학교 활동들을 RSS를 사용하여 실시간으로 수집하고 지역 교육청 홈페이지에서 안내할 수 있는 학교간 유무선 통합커뮤니티 시스템을 설계하였다.

Difficulties of Building a Learning Community for Professional Development (전문성 발달을 위한 학습 커뮤니티 형성에 있어서의 어려움)

  • The purposes of this study were to understand mathematics teachers' difficulties under the context of community and to contribute to the research on professional development using a partnership between a high school and a university. I examined what struggles mathematics teachers had in building a learning community. I used data from a project in South East area in U.S.A. Three student teachers, three mentor teachers, and a university teacher participated in this study. Data sources included cluster meeting observations, interviews, and documents (such as open-ended surveys and e-mail responses). Data were analyzed using case study and narrative analysis methods. The results showed that the participants had power issues, issues about selecting topics to discuss, criticizing others, sharing goals, and managing time and the number of members.

  • Cyber school community appears to have essentially emerged from the needs for interactive communication, which would not be easy in normal school environments. Message board, chatting rooms and e-mails allow students to connect with each others, share news, find ways to help study, or post personal stories. The purpose of this paper is to give a set of guidelines, based upon the direct observations and questionnaire analysis, for utilizing the cyber school community of elementary school children. The following conclusions are provided; the appropriate ate goal needs to be set before the cyber school community is to be developed; the balance between the off-line and on-line interaction needs to be maintained; actions for motivating students to participate in the cyber community need to be taken by teachers.

In this study, this I-CUBE system with RSS was designed and embodied for sharing characteristic educational activities and works in schools.   • 본 논문의 목적은 초등학생들의 커뮤니티 프로그램 사용 빈도가 인터넷 중독에 미치는 영향을 파악하는 것이다. 본 논문은 초등학교 5, 6학년 학생들을 대상으로 각종 커뮤니티 프로그램의 사용 빈도를 조사하고 그 결과에 따라 커뮤니티 프로그램 사용 빈도가 비교적 적은 집단과 사용 빈도가 많은 집단을 나누어 정보통신윤리 의식 및 인터넷 중독 진단에 많이 사용되는 K-척도를 활용하여 진단을 시행한 후 결과를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 커뮤니티 프로그램 사용 빈도가 많을 수 록 인터넷 중독 위험성이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 또래집단과의 원활한 커뮤니케이션과 정보 공유 등에 좋은 영향을 미치는 커뮤니티 프로그램이지만 적지 않은 시간을 할애하고 집중함으로써 인터넷 중독의 위험에 빠질 수 있음을 알고 이에 대한 대책을 마련해야 할 것으로 판단된다.

Aims of Laboratory Activities in School Science: A Delphi Study of Expert Community (학교과학교육에서 실험 활동의 목적: 전문가 커뮤니티를 통한 델파이 연구)

  • Numerous aims of laboratory activities have been suggested by a number of researchers in science education; however the lists of aims very according to researcher. As such, there is still no agreement educational goals on the in science laboratory activities by experts in science education. The purpose of this study was to obtain a consensus using the Delphi technique on the aims of laboratory activities from expert community. This expert community consisted of four scientists, four science educators, six elementary school teachers, and seven secondary school teachers. The list of aims obtained from the expert community were tested with the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test to determine whether IQR between 2nd and 3rd was convergent. Results of this study produced, lists of aims of laboratory activities according to school science level. There were seven aims for elementary school science, nine aims for secondary school science, and thirteen aims for university science.

  • 본 논문에서는 인터넷이 우리 생활의 일부가 되면서 인간관계 형성의 하나의 방법으로 잘 알려진 블로그(weB Log, blog) 및 미니홈페이지 (mini homepage)의 문제점을 지적 하고, 그 문제점을 보완하여 구현된 커뮤니티 블로그(Community bLOG, cLOG)에 대해서 설명한다. 기존의 서비스는 학교와 같은 열린 커뮤니티에서 구성원간 조직적인 체계를 이루기 어렵다. 커뮤니티 블로그는 지식창출과 지식 공유를 더 효과적으로 하게 하고, 조직의 구조와 구성원간의 관계를 모델링하고 활용할 수 있게 하여 커뮤니티의 기능적 효율성을 높인다. 사이트 중심이 아닌 각 이용자 중심의 인터페이스인 컨텐츠 도메인(contents domain)을 유기적으로 접목시켜 개인 중심의 지식 창출 환경을 구축한다.
