Assessment of Evaluation by Hybrid Waterproof-Roof Barrier Layer for Green System on Artificial Ground (인공지반 녹화시스템 활용을 위한 일체형 방수·방근 시트의 성능평가)

  • The demands about eco friendly space are increased as buildings are denser in downtown, and green system on the roof and the artificial ground are widely being applied. The construction of green system applies a waterproof layer, a root barrier and a protection concrete layer. Assembly of these many layers leads to a long construction term, and cause many defects. This study is to evaluate one layer-hybrid sheet which gets waterproof and root barrier performance simultaneously, which is developed to use in the new green system. As results, the performances of physical properties, durability, waterproof and root barrier not only exceeded quality standards but also showed excellent durability. In addition, mock-up test would be proceed to certify long term performance.

A Development of the X-Band 63 Watt Pulsed SSPA for Radar (레이더용 X-대역 63 Watt Pulsed SSPA 개발)

  • In this paper, we developed the X-band 63 watt pulsed SSPA(Solid State Power Amplifier) by using HMIC(Hybrid Microwave Integrated Circuits). The pulsed SSPA consists of power supply and 3-stage amplifier modules : pre-amplifier stage, driver-amplifier stage, final-amplifier stage. The developed pulsed SSPA provides more than 63 watts of output power with a short pulse width and the duty cycle of up to 1.2 % at $70^{\circ}C$. The fabricated module offers great than 37 dB of saturated gain across the operating band. Input and output VSWR is <1.5:1. This module has an average current of 400 mA typical and operates at a +28 $V_{dc}$ supply. The developed SSPA in this paper can apply to pulsed Doppler radar with high speed operation.

Spectrum and Equivalent Transient Vibration Analysis of Small Composite Satellite Structure (소형 복합재위성의 스팩트럼 및 과도진동해석)

  • This paper is the study on random, sinusoidal and shock vibration responses for the STSAT-3(science and technology satellite-3) proto-model which is the first small size all-composite satellite in Korea. The structure system of the STSAT-3 forms box type structure by joining several hybrid sandwich panels comprised of honeycomb core and carbon fiber reinforced laminated composite skins on both side. Mode shape, stress, displacement and acceleration responses are obtained on both the frequency domain and time domain by means of a commercial FEA software MSC/NASTRAN. From these analysis results, failure, safety factor and design validity are assessed. These results can be successfully applicable as reference data when a new satellite is developed as well as giving out an excellent criteria in satellite vibration treatment design.

  • As mobile devices evolve and digital convergence trend is here to stay, mobile phones are built with multiple functions including cameras, MP3s, TVs and game consoles. As a consequence, such multi-functional mobile phones come to spend more power, facilitating development of next-generation ultra-capacity lithium ion battery. In addition, environmental regulations and rising oil prices cause demand for hybrid cars to keep rising. Accordingly, more and more attention is being paid to medium and large batteries and more efforts are being made to realize lower battery prices, higher outputs and stability. This study presented a patent technology related to the lithium ion battery packing that allows reducing processes related, increasing productivity and recycling parts other than the body. The lithium ion battery pack to which protection circuits are elastically attached provides short circuit protection for the circuit and the body and makes electric connection of the circuit and the body easier.

GaN를 기반으로 하는 고분자 MDMO-PPV의 두께 변화와 온도에 따른 Photovoltaics의 효율 측정

  • 태양전지는 무기태양전지와 유기태양전지 등이 연구 되고 있는데 [1] 그 중 유기물질의 장점(높은 수율, solution phase processing, 저비용으로 전력 생산)과 무기재료의 장점(높은 전자 이동도, 넓은 흡수 범위, 우수한 환경 및 열 안정성)을 융합함으로써 장기적 구조안정성의 확보와 광전변환의 고 효율화를 동시에 달성하기 위한 유기무기 하이브리드 태양전지가 최근 큰 관심을 끌고 있다[2]. 본 연구에서는 hybrid photovoltaics에 유기물 MDMO-PPV와 전도성 고분자 PEDOT:PSS를 무기물 GaN 위에 spin coating 하여 두께에 다른 효율을 측정하였다. 유기물 MDMO-PPV는 p-형으로 클로로벤젠, 톨루엔과 같은 유기 용매에 잘 녹으며 HOMO 5.33eV, LUMO 2.97eV, energy band gap 2.4eV이며 99.5%의 순도 물질을 사용하였다. 또한 정공 수송층(hole transport layer, HTL)으로 PEDOT:PSS를 사용하였으며, HOMO 5.0eV, LUMO 3.6eV, energy band gap 1.4eV를 가지며 증류수나 에탄올과 같은 수용성 용매에 잘 녹는 특성을 가지고 있다. 무기물은 III-V 족 물질 n-GaN(002)을 사용하였고 valence band energy 1.9eV, conduction band energy 6.3eV, energy band gap 3.4eV, 높은 전자 이동도와 높은 포화 속도, 광전자 소자에 유리한 광 전기적 특성을 가지고 있다. 기판으로는 GaN와 격자 부정합도와 열팽창계수 부정합도가 큰 Sapphire (Al2O3) 이종 기판을 사용하였다. 전극으로 Au를 사용하였으며 E-beam증착하였다. Reflector로서 Al를 thermal evaporator로 증착하였다 [3]. 실험 과정은 두께에 따른 효율을 알아보기 위해 MDMO-PPV를 900~1,500 rpm으로 spin coating 하였고, 열처리에 따른 효율을 알아보기 위해 열처리 온도 조건을 $110{\sim}170^{\circ}C$의 변화를 주었다. FE-SEM으로 표면과 단면을 관찰하였으며 J-V 특성을 알아보기 위해 각 샘플마다 solar simulator를 사용하여 측정하였고 그 결과를 논의하였다.

A Study on the Process of Hybrid Welding Using Pulsed Nd:YAG Laser and Dip-transfer DC GMA Heat Sources (펄스형 Nd:YAG 레이저와 단락이행모드의 직류 GMA 열원을 이용한 하이브리드 용접 공정에 대한 연구)

  • Until now, many researches on laser-arc hybrid welding processes have been conducted mainly for high power CW laser and high direct current arc to weld the thick steel plates for shipbuilding. Recently, however the usage of thin steel plates, which tend to be deformed easily by thermal energy, is been increasing because of demand of light structure such as car body in the automobile industry. Accordingly, heat sources having relatively low heat input such as pulsed laser, dip-transfer DC GMA and pulsed GMA seem to be applied more increasingly and the study about those heat sources is needed more intensively. Any heat source mentioned above can not stand alone without weld defects at a relatively high welding speed for increasing the welding productivity. This is main reason to apply the hybrid welding process which uses pulsed laser and low-heat-input GMA heat sources simultaneously to weld the thin steel plate. In this study, parameters of pulsed laser and dip-transfer DC GMA welding are studied firstly through preliminary experiments, and then analyzed in the viewpoint of their physical phenomena. Before conducting the hybrid welding, a pulse control technique is developed based on the parallel port communication and Visual C++ 6.0. Owing to development of this technique, interactions of laser and arc pulses can be controlled consistently. Using the pulse control technique, the hybrid welding is conducted and then its interactive welding phenomenon is analyzed.

Rheological Investigation of Aluminized Paraffin Wax Fuel on Particle Size and Contents (파라핀/알루미늄 연료의 알루미늄 입자크기 및 함유비 변화에 따른 유변학적 특성)

  • Viscosity measurements were conducted to investigate the rheological characteristics of aluminized paraffin wax fuel. To identify the effect of size and contents of the aluminum particles on the variation of viscosity, samples of nano- and micro- sized aluminum particles with an average particle size of 100 nm and $8{\mu}m$ were prepared and measured using a rheometer. The observed viscosity increment patterns of the nano- and micro-sized particles were vey different, and particularly above 10 wt%, where a relatively low overall regression rate is expected for nano- content fuel. It is possible that this phenomenon could cause the reduced entrainment regression rate.

Active Antenna Module for 60 GHz Frequency Band (60 GHz 대역 능동 안테나 모듈 설계)

  • In this paper, an active antenna module operating in the 60 GHz band is designed and fabricated by combining a commercial transmitter chip and patch array antenna. The designed module is composed of an antenna PCB and a PCB with a transmitter chip. The frequency-control and bias-control signals are applied to the transmitter chip, using an Arduino kit. A baseband I/Q signal is also applied to the chip. A ring hybrid balun converts the output of the transmitter module to a single output, which is the output of the transmitter chip that outputs a differential output. The output is delivered to the $2{\times}4$ microstrip patch array antenna PCB as a micro-computer connector. The radiation pattern of the millimeter-wave signal of the final output is compared with the simulation results. The measured radiation patterns of the fabricated active antenna module confirm that the positions of the 3 dB beam width and null point agree well with the simulation results.

  • There are various approaches to treatment for patients with fully edentulous jaw. In maxilla, it is easy to obtain sufficient stability, support, and retention with the traditional full denture method. In mandible, however, there are difficulties caused by anatomical limitations. In this case, treatment with implants can be considered. If it is difficult to place implants in posterior area, a fixed complete denture can be considered, using 4 - 5 implants anterior to mental foramen. This approach has changed in many ways, such as surgical methods and materials used, over the years. This case report compares two approaches and their changes over time, especially in the cases of mandibular fixed prostheses using implants, paired with maxillary complete denture.

  • 기후변화로 동절기 기온 저하에 따른 수도계량기의 동파는 지속적으로 심화되고 있으며, 이는 계량기 교체 비용, 누수, 누수량 동결에 의한 2차 피해, 단수 등 사회적 문제를 야기한다. 이와같은 문제를 해결하고자 구조적 대책으로 개별 가정에서 동파 방지형 계량기를 설치할 수 있으나 이를 위한 비용발생이 상당하고, 비구조적 대책으로는 기상청의 동파 지도 알림 서비스를 활용하여 사전적으로 대응하고자 하나, 기상청자료는 대기 온도를 중심으로 제공하고 있기 때문에 해당서비스만으로는 계량기의 동파를 예측하는데 필요한 추가적인 다양한 변수를 활용하는데 한계가 있다. 최근 정부와 공공부문에서 22개 지역, 110개소 이상의 수도계량기함내 IoT 온도센서를 시범 설치하여 계량기 함내의 상태 등을 확인할 수 있는 사업을 수행했다. 전국적인 계량기 상태의 예측과 진단을 위해서는 추가적인 센서 설치가 필요할 것이나, IoT센서 설치 비용 등의 문제로 추가 설치가 더딘 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 겨울 동파 예방을 위해 실제 온도센서를 기반으로 가상센서를 구축하고, 이를 혼합한 하이브리드 방식으로 동파위험 기준에 따라 전국 동파위험 지도를 구축하였다. 가상센서 개발을 위해 독립변수로 위경도, 고도, 음·양지, 보온재 여부 및 기상정보(기온, 강수량, 풍속, 습도)를 활용하고, 종속변수로 실제 센서의 온도를 사용하여 기계학습 모델을 개발하였다. 지역 특성에 따라 정확한 모델을 구축하기 위해 위치정보 및 보온재여부 등의 변수를 활용하여 K-means 방법으로 군집화 하였으며, 각 군집별로 3가지의 기계학습 회귀모델을 적용하였다. 최적의 군집 수를 검토한 결과 4개가 적정한 것으로 판단되었다. 군집의 특성은 지역별 구분과 유사한 패턴을 보이며, 모든 군집에서 Gradient Boosting 회귀모델을 적용하는 것이 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서 개발한 모델을 바탕으로 조건에 따라 동파 예측 알람서비스에 실무적으로 활용할 수 있도록 양호·주의·위험·매우위험 총 4개의 기준을 설정하였다. 실제 본 연구에서 개발된 알고리즘을 국가상수도정보 시스템에 반영하여 테스트 수행중에 있으며, 향후 지속 검증을 할 예정에 있다. 이를 통해 동파 예방 및 피해 최소화, 물절약 등 직간접적 편익이 기대된다.
