As a very important part in development of the protocol, verification and conformance test for protocol specification are complementary techniques that are used to increase the level of confidence in the system functions as prescribed by their specifications. In this paper, we verify the safety and liveness properties of rail signal control protocol type 1 specified in LTS with model checking method, and experimentally prove that it is possible to check for the deadlock, livelock and rechability of the states and actions on LTS. The implemented formal checker is able to verify whether properties expressed in modal logic are true in specifications using modal mu-calculus. We also propose a formal method on generation of conformance test cases using the concept of UIO sequences from verified protocol specification. The suggested tools are implemented by C++ language under Windows NT.

The purpose of this paper is to recognize and embody the implications of the concept of interactivity. Among the many types of interactivity already proposed, this paper sheds light especially on the so-called contingent interactivity. The contingency means a condition in which a particular performance or selection of a subject is considered neither necessary nor conclusive, and also the potential for various activities of this subject. The contingent interaction comes into being when the involvements of users in dealing with a message or content are experimental or creative. The interaction does not orient toward the completion of content or the immersion to a particular reality. Rather, the results of a user's contingent performance are not the finalized content and have characteristics that lead to the continuous modification. In order to embody this meaning of contingent interactivity, the paper examined the two example, the film re-cut and game modding. In both cases, it is comprehensive that the user of these two new media activities lies in the contingent situation.

The 11 nuclear power plants have been taking charge of more than 40% of the total electrical power development in Korea. In addition to the existing nuclear power plants at Gori, Wolsung, Youngkwang, etc., the 12 nuclear power plants are expected to be newly established until 2006. So, the 23 nuclear power plants will produce the electric power as much as more than 50% of the national gross production. However the nuclear power plants are inevitably generating the detrimental atomic wastes. Therefore the disposal techniques for the nuclear wastes should be ensured considering a very high safety factor. According to the basic researches in KAERI, the underground disposal repositories are reported to be most favorable for Korea. The KBS-3 disposal system has been strongly suggested by KAERI and this system has a deep tunnel with several disposal boreholes in tunnel floor. The nuclear wastes, which are sealed tightly in a canister, will be disposed in these boreholes. Considering the disposal tunnel in a great depth, the in-situ stress regimes will affect severely the tunnel stability. Consequently the effect of the in-situ stresses on the disposal tunnel and the role of the in-situ stresses in tunnel stability analysis are examined by the numerical studies.

현재 인터넷상에서 서비스되고 있는 컨텐츠는 업그레이드되어 3차원 가상기법인 Web 3D 기술을 적용한 사실적이며 현실감 있는 환경에서 상호작용이 가능한 컨텐츠로 전환되고 있다. 이에 Web 3D의 시장에 많은 저작도구들이 개발되고 활용되고 있다. VRML를 기반으로 하는 표준 기술과 특정분야에 활용될 수 있게 개발된 비표준 기술들로 발전하고 있는 환경에서 Web 3D 컨텐츠 구축을 위한 저작도구의 분석은 필연적이라 생각된다. Web 3D 저작도구의 기본 기능과 확장성, 호환성, 적용분야를 비교 분석하여 각 활용분야와 체형에 맞는 저작도구의 선택을 통한 컨텐츠 제작 효율의 극대화를 제안한다.

인구의 도시집중화에 따른 교통문제와 생활공간의 확보문제가 서울시가 가지고 있는 여러 가지 문제들 중의 하나이다. 이중 교통문제의 해결을 위해 서울시가 추진하고 있는 정책중 지하철 건설은 밀집화된 시의 공간활용 측면에 있어서 필연적이라고 할 수 있다. 서울시 지하철은 1974년 제 1호선 개통이래 1999년 7월에 제 8호선이 완전 개통됨으로서 40% 이상의 높은 수송 분담율을 기록하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 양적인 증가에 반해 공간적인 밀폐성으로 인한 대기, 소음, 진동 등의 환경 위해성이 논란의 대상이 되고 있다. (중략)

기존의 공중전기 통신망들이 B-ISDN으로 통합, 발전되어 가는 과정에서 경제성 및 효율성 등의 이유로 인하여 필연적으로 기존망과 구현하려는 망사이의 연동이 필요하게 되며 가능한 기존망의 기능을 수용하면서 구현될 수 있는 방안이 마련되어야 한다. 본 기고에서는 각각 B-ISDN과 Internet의 특성을 파악하고 그 차이점을 분석하였으며, B-ISDN과 Internet의 연동에 있어서 연동 요구사항과 연동 기능, 그리고 두 망간 연동방안을 제시하고, 이를 비교분석하였다. 또한 하위계층의 근본적 차이로 인해 발생하는 두 망간의 문제점에 대해서도 논의하였다.

조사과정에서 필연적으로 발생하는 무응답을 보정하기 위해 보조정보를 사용한다. 이 때, 이용 가능한 보조정보의 차원이 크면, 계산과정에서 많은 시간이 소요되며 데이터를 다루기가 매우 어렵다. 또한 추정량의 분산이 보조정보의 차원에 의존하기 때문에 과소추정의 문제가 발생한다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 무응답 보정에서 적절한 보조정보의 선택 방법을 제안하였고, 이에 대한 효율성을 모의실험을 통해 살펴보았다.

원전의 전기설계는 원전소내 보조기기에 전원을 확보하기 위해 첫째는 계통으로 부터 독립된 2개 회로와 둘째는 유니트 당 2대의 소내전원으로 구성한다. 이에 더하여 계통 고장시 보조기기의 전원을 주발전기로부터 수전하는 소내부하 운전을 가능케 해두고 있다. 또한 안전 기준으로 검토된 단일사고 기준과 공통유형고장 기준에 대한 대응설계로서 다중성과 독립성이 강조되었고 이러한 적절한 설계에도 불구하고 궁극적으로 인명의 손항방지와 기기의 안전성 유지를 위한 원전의 신뢰는 능동기기(Active Component)에 의존하게 되므로 기기의 성능검증(euqipment qualification) 활동이 필연적으로 뒷받침 되고 있다.

우리 나라 전역에 대한 거시적인 풍력자원조사와 20kW급의 소형 풍력발전시스템의 개발 연구가 현재 진행중이나 풍력발전에 대한 산업체의 경험과 실용화를 위한 기반요소 기술은 아직 미약한 상태이므로 좀더 집약적인 투자와 연구개발노력으로 기존시스템에 대한 운영경험과 기술분석을 꾀하여 중형급 풍력발전시스템의 국산화 개발에 힘을 기울여야 한다. 개발과정에서 필연적으로 수반될 수 있는 시행착오 요인을 최소화하고 단시간 내에 신뢰성있는 시스템을 개발하기 위해 서는 기존의 실용화 시스템을 최대한 이용토록 하며 산. 학. 연의 협동 연구개발체제의 구성을 통해 집중적인 개발노력이 가해져야 하며, 산 . 학. 연의 협동체제가 현실성 있는 대안이 될 수 있도록 정부차원의 지원책이 선행되어야 한다.
