  • 반도체 소자의 크기가 점점 기술적인 한계에 도달함에 따라 실리콘을 대신할 새로운 물질에 대한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 그러한 물질 중 하나로 주목 받고 있는 그래핀은 탄소 원자들이 육각형 모양으로 공유결합을 하고 있는 2차원 소재이며 전기적, 기계적, 열적으로 우수한 성질을 지니고 있다. 하지만 그래핀의 전기적인 특성은 외부 환경에 영향을 받기 때문에, 그래핀을 실제 반도체 소자에 적용시켜 전기적인 성능 및 동시에 안정성을 향상시키기 위해서는, 그래핀에 보호막을 형성시켜야 한다. 본 연구에서는, 그래핀 위에 dielectric을 이용한 보호막을 형성시켜 graphene의 전기적인 특성 변화 및 안정성을 확인하였다.

  • 수중운동체가 수중에서 진행할 때 외부 파도에 의한 불확실한 부하 저항을 받으므로 이에 대응하는 핀(조타) 구동부의 제어 문제를 고려한다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 제어기는 본체로부터의 지정 각도를 부여 받으면 이에 부응하여 핀의 각도와 각속도를 이용하여 제어기의 알고리즘을 구축하여 지정된 경로를 추적하게 한다. 또한 핀의 각속도 정보의 이용이 부득이 어려운 상황에 대처하기 위하여 핀의 각도만을 이용한 출력제어기나 추정기를 설계하여 주위 환경의 불확실성을 극복할 수 있는 제어기를 제안한다. DC서보 모터로 구성괸 핀 구동부에 대해 실제 데이터를 사용하여 제안된 제어기의 성능을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 검증한다.

Experimental Study of the Heat Transfer Rate of the Plate Fin-Tube Condenser for a Household Refrigerator (냉장고용 판형 핀-관 응축기의 열전달 성능에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • A plate-fin tube type heat exchanger has a lighter weight, approximately 30%, than the conventional circular-fin type condenser of household refrigerator. Because the low weight means low cost, it can have significant effects on the growth of related businesses if similar performance can be guaranteed. To check the possibility of the use of such a plate fin-tube condenser, experimental evaluations were performed in this study. Four different condensers including a conventional circular fin-tube condenser were used for the test. A well designed refrigerant supply system was used to supply similar conditions with a refrigerator, and the heat transfer rate and pressure drops of air side were measured precisely. As a result, the plate fin-tube type condensers showed a lower heat transfer rate of more than 13% than the conventional circular fin-tube type condenser, but the air side pressure drop was reduced and the heat transfer per unit weight was increased. Therefore, it shows the possibility of the use of a plate fin-tube type condenser after optimizing the air flow path and increasing the air flow to make a similar heat transfer rate.

  • In this study, it was conducted to improve the physical properties of VAE polymer matrix used as a coating material. A nanocomposite was manufactured using graphene as a reinforcing agent based on a VAE matrix. As a result, improvements in tensile strength, adhesion strength, and porosity were confirmed.

그래핀 투명전극을 이용한 태양전지 제작 및 특성연구

  • 태양광 또는 자연의 힘을 이용한 에너지의 생산은 가까운 미래에 화석연료의 고갈과 이들의 소모로 인해 발행하는 이산화탄소로 인한 지구 온난화등의 문제로 인하여 그 중요성이 점증되고 있는 실정이다. 특히 태양광으로부터 전기에너지를 얻는 발전 방식은 오래전부터 연구되어 왔고 또한 상용화되어 국부적으로 보조 에너지원으로 이용되어 지고 있다. 동작 원리에 따라 이종접합에서 오는 전위차를 이용하는 방법, 동종 물질의 pn접합을 이용하여 기전력을 얻은 방법 및 연료 감응형 종류가 있다. 이 중에서 물질의 이종접합을 이용하는 방법은 아주 오래된 태양전력을 얻는 방식이나 그 동안 연구가 미비하였던 것이 사실이다. 이에 우리는 새로운 재료인 그래핀을 이용하여 산화구리와의 이종접합 태양전지의 제작및 특성을 분석 하였다. 화학기상증착법 (CVD)을 이용해 그래핀을 구리 박편 표면에 성장하였다. 적절한 온도(섭씨 약 1000도)에서 아주 적은 양의 수소 및 메탄을 흘려 주었을때 손쉽게 단일 원자층의 그래핀이 코팅된 구리박편을 얻을 수 있으며, 이 박편을 고온에서 산화 시키면 그래핀은 산화되지 않고 구리만 산화되어 손쉽게 쇼트키타입 태양전지를 얻을 수 있다. 이때 그래핀은 다른 공정 없이 투명전극의 역할을 한다. 간단한 전극을 부착하여 태양전지를 성능을 평가 하였고 그래핀 및 산화구리의 계면효과를 분석하였다. 효율면에서 III-V족 및 실리콘계의 태양전지에 비해 떨어지나 산화구리의 결정화 순도및 산화구리와 금속간의 계면개선 연구를 통해 극복가능 할 것으로 생각된다.

Air-Side Performance of Fin-and-Tube Heat Exchangers Having Non-Symmetric Slit Fins Under Wet Condition (비대칭형 슬릿 핀이 적용된 핀-관 열교환기의 습표면 성능)

  • In this study, wet surface heat transfer and friction characteristics of non-symmetric slit-finned heat exchangers are experimentally investigated. Louver-finned heat exchangers are also tested for comparison purpose. The effect of fin pitch on j and f factor is negligible. Louver fin samples yield higher j and f factors than slit fin samples. For one row, j and f factors of louver fin are 27% and 31% higher than those of slit fin. For two row, j and f factors of louver fin are 15% and 30% higher. Both j and f factor decrease as the number of tube row increases. For one row, average j/f ratios of slit fin samples are 3.4% larger than those of louver fin samples. For two row, average j/f ratios of slit fin samples are 11.5% larger. A new correlation was developed using the present data.

Comparison of Heat Transfer Performance and Pressure Drop of Fin-Tube and Aluminum Heat Exchangers (핀-튜브 열교환기와 알루미늄 열교환기의 전열성능과 압력강하 특성비교)

  • This study presents comparison of heat transfer and air side friction characteristics in a condenser condition of air conditioner between Louver fin-tube heat exchangers and aluminum parallel heat exchangers. All experiments are performed using an air-enthalpy type calorimeter, which is designed based on the method described in ASHRAE standards. The air velocities crossing the heat exchanger tubes are varied from 0.7 to 1.6 m/s with 0.3 m/s interval, maintaining air dry temperature and relative humidity at $20^{\circ}C$ and 60% respectively. Water temperature and flow rate inside the tube are $70^{\circ}C$ and 10 LPM, respectively. Experimental results show that the heat transfer performances of aluminum heat exchangers are 17-163% higher than those of Louver fin-tube heat exchangers based on the data per unit volume, mass, and heat transfer area, whereas air side pressure drops of aluminum heat exchangers are 19-81% lower.

Experimental Study on the Airside Performance of Aluminum Heat Exchangers Having Slim Louver Fins (슬림형 루버 핀이 장착된 알루미늄 열교환기의 공기측 전열 성능에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • Recent trends in slim air conditioners require heat exchangers of reduced flow depth. In this study, slim louver fin geometry was obtained using predictive correlations. The deduced geometry yielded 10 mm flow depth, 0.9 mm louver pitch, and $35^{\circ}$ louver angle. Samples were made and tests were conducted. The new slim sample yielded 36% higher j factor and 2.3% higher f factor compared with those of the standard sample. This implies that 26% reduction of heat exchanger volume was possible by reducing the flow depth. In addition, the $j/f^{1/3}$ of the slim sample was 55% larger than that of the standard sample. Furthermore, the results are compared with predictions made using existing correlations.

  • In the present study, the heat transfer characteristics of the fin-tube and PF heat exchangers and the performances of the air-conditioner are experimentally investigated. Also, Cooling Seasonal Performance Factor(CSPF) of the air-conditioner is evaluated. For the heat exchanger experiment, the heat transfer and pressure drop are obtained. For the air-conditioner experiment, the cooling capacity, input power and COP are obtained. The air-enthalpy calorimeter and the constant temperature water bath are used. As the inlet air velocity increases, the heat transfer rate and pressure drop of the heat exchanger increased. PF heat exchanger has smaller refrigerant weight and larger capacity and COP than the fin-tube heat exchanger. The performance of PF-2 heat exchanger with the squarer fin is more excellent than that of PF-1 heat exchanger with the triangler fin. Also, CSPF of the fm -tube and PF heat exchanger is evaluated.

A Comparative Study on the Flow and Heat Transfer Performance Characteristics of Vortex Generators and Guide Vane in Fin-Tube (핀-튜브에서 와류 발생기와 가이드 베인의 유동 및 전열 성능 특성에 관한 비교 연구)

  • In this paper, the effects of the delta winglet vortex generator, the airfoil vortex generator and the guide vanes on the friction factor and the Colburn factor in the fin-tube flow were studied. The vortex generator and guide vane were non-dimensionalized based on the channel height and tube diameter, and locations were selected according to the authors' suggestions. The Reynolds number based on the inlet velocity and the tube diameter was selected in the range of 1400-8000. As a result, the friction factor resulted in a 4.7% decrease in guide vanes at the Reynolds number 8000 over the conventional fin-tube, and the Colburn factor resulted in a 33% increase in the delta winglet vortex generator at the Reynolds number 3800 over the conventional fin-tube.
