피지선종(sebaceous adenoma)은 피지선 분화를 보이는 신생물 중 가장 흔한 종양으로 피지선이 정상적으로 많이 분포하는 안면부, 두피부, 안검부 등에 주로 발생하나 안검에서는 비교적 드물게 발생한다. 피지선종은 피부부속기 종양 중 발생빈도가 아주 낮으며 안면부 중에도 피지선이 많이 분포하는 비부와 협부에 주로 발생하며 종괴 형성으로 인한 이물감이나 소양감, 출혈, 궤양형성등의 증상을 동반한다. Shields 등의 보고에 의하면 내안누구에 발생한 신생물 57예중에서 피지선종은 2예만이 존재할 정도로 극히 드물다고 하였다. Font와 Rishi도 피지선종의 안검 발생에 대하여 상안검과 하안검은 각각 같은 빈도로 발생한다고 하였으며 내안각 피지선종은 단 1예만을 보고하였다. 이에 저자들은 내안누구의 피지선에서 발생한 피지선종을 경험하고 문헌고찰과 함께 그 1예를 보고하고자 한다.

A mixed case of multiple sebaceous gland adenoma and perianal gland adenoma was found in a 11-year-old male Shih Tzu dog. Grossly, many masses less than 1 cm in diameter of back skin and single red-brown mass about 0.5 cm in diameter of inner ear were noted. In addition one of light-pink mass 5 cm in diameter was presented in the anus. All of the masses were well demarcated and dome-shaped or papillated nodules. Histologically, the mass from back and ear were composed with multiple irregular shaped or sized lobules of sebaceous glands. Masses were containing mostly mature sebaceous cells and multifocal cystic degeneration with acellular and bright eosinophilic materials. And the mass from peri-anal area was well-circumscribed and composed of broad, anastomosing trabeculae of well-differentiated hepatoid cells. There were very low mitotic figures in all masses. Based on these results, this case was diagnosed as the multiple sebaceous gland adenoma and perianal gland adenoma.

The authors reviewed 95 cases(46 men and 49 women) of the orbital tumors diagnosed histopathologically at the Department of Ophthalmology, Yeungnam University Hospital from March 1984 through August 1994. Seventy-five cases of benign tumors were found evenly in all decades, but twenty cases of malignant tumors were noticed more frequently in 1st, 6th, and 7th decades. The frequency of benign orbital tumors was in this order; dermolipoma(21%, 20 cases), dermoid cyst(11.6%, 11 cases), mucocele(8.4%, 8 cases), lipoma(7.4%, 7 cases) and pleomorphic adenoma(5.3%, 5 cases). Of malignant orbital tumors, the frequency was in this order; retinoblastoma(3 cases), malignant melanoma(2 cases), sebaceous carcinoma(2 cases), and maxillary sinus carcinoma(2 cases). Malignant orbital tumors of 8 expired patients were revealed as secondary or metastatic tumors.

Lymphangioleiomyomatosis(LAM) is a rare disease of unknown etiology that occurs mainly in woman in her reproductive age. We recently experienced two cases of bilateral diffuse cystic lesion of the lung on chest X-ray and HRCT. The first case, a 26-year-old female, who had been diagnosed with tuberous sclerosis by the presence of clinical manifestation such as mental retardation, bilateral renal angiomyolipoma, adenoma sebaceum and generalized seizure, was admitted due to a recently developed hemoptysis. Chest PA showed diffuse ground-glass opacity with radiolucent cystic lesions of various sizes on both lung fields. HRCT showed innumerable small cystic lesions with suspicious diffuse ground-glass opacity on both lung fields The second case, a 30-year-old fema1e was admitted due to dyspnea and spewing of blood-tinged sputum for 2 weeks, shortly after delivery. Chest PA showed diffuse reticular and ground-glass opacities on both lung field. HRCT showed multiple well-defined and relatively uniform size air cysts with a uniform wall thickness on entire both lung fields, with small amount of right pleural effusion. By thoracoscopic lung biopsy she was diagnosed with pulmonary lymphangioleiomyomatosis. We report these cases with a brief review of the literatures.

The following tumors occurring naturally in the dog were studied pathologically and discussed briefly. Tumors of the skin and subcutis: Fibroma, Lipoma, Epidermal cyst, Melanosarcoma, Sweat gland adenoma, Mastocytoma (2 cases), Mastosarcoma, and Sebaceous gland carcinoma. Tumors of the spleen and lymph node: Fibrosarcoma of the capsule of spleen, Leiomysarcoma of the spleen, and Lymphosarcoma of the lymph node (2 cases). Tumors of the lung: Bronchogenic carcinoma (3 cases), Adenocarcinoma type, Squamous carcinoma type, and Undifferentiated (round cell) carcinoma type respectively. Tumors of the alimentary tract and liver: Fibroma of the stomach, Hemangioma of the liver, Bile duct carcinoma, Liver cell carcinoma, and Myelogenous leukemia manifested in the liver. Tumor of the peritoneum: Fibrosarcoma. Tumors of the urogenital system: Fibroma of the uterus, Fibroma of the prepuce, Follicular cyst of the ovary, Transmissible venereal tumor of the vagina (6 cases), Carcinoma of the kidney, Adenoma of the prostate (2 cases), and Seminoma of the testis. Tumors of the mammary gland: Mixed tumor (2 cases), and Myoepithelioma. Tumor of the nervous system: Neurofibrosarcoma of the thigh.
