What Hinders the Transition from Benefits Recipiency to Labor Market in the Korean Social Assistance Program? : In the case of working-age recipients (근로연령대 수급자의 탈빈곤 : 노동시장통합 결정 요인에 관한 연구)

  • This study is to identify the factors deterring or precipitating the exit from welfare recipiency to labor market in the Korean social assistance program. The results from the empirical analyses of the Korea Welfare Panel Study(KOWEPS) show that the duration dependency is not due to increasing welfare dependency with duration, but to the fact that longer stayers have many vulnerable conditions to escape from poverty. Particularly, the main factors determining the transition from recipiency to labor market are not individual or household characteristics such as human or social capital. Those having adolescents of secondary education in their households or participating in some effective labor market program such as job placement service tend to have significant effects on the exit rates from recipiency. That means that the institution-related factors such as the education and health supports combined with benefits and the effective labor market programs are important in the translation from recipiency to labor market of working-age recipients in the Korean social assistance scheme.

A Case of Xerostomia that Occurred during Behcet's Disease Drug Treatment of a Person with Physical Disability (지체 장애인의 베체트병 약물치료 중 발생한 구강 건조증 치험 1례)

  • Objectives : To report a case of drug-induced xerostomia treated with Integrative Korean Medicine Visiting Care Service of a Public Health Center. Methods : Home visit treatment and telemedicine were provided by public health doctor(Korean medicine doctor) for person with physical disability who were diagnosed with Behcet's Disease. Palmul-tang(PMT) soft extract was provided steadily 3 times a day for 6 months, and acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, and electro-moxibustion were provided irregularly 6 times for 6 months. Yin-deficiency questionnaire(YDQ), oral health impact profile-14(OHIP-14), oral pain visual analogue scale(VAS), and xerostomia inventory(XI) were used 3 times(baseline, intermediate and termination) to evaluate the changes. Results : YDQ decreased from 620 to 375, OHIP-14 decreased from 34 to 6, VAS decreased from 70 to 40, and XI decreased from 44 to 34. Four scales all gradually decreased. Conclusions : Integrative Korean Medicine Treatments in health insurance including PMT soft extract through home visit treatment can improve drug-induced xerostomia and Quality of life(QoL) of person with disabilities.

Ultrastructural Observations on the Cutaneous Granular Glands and Excretory Granule Formation in the Water Toad, Bufo steinegeri Schmidt (물두꺼비의 (Bufo stjnegeri Schmidt) 피부과립선의 미세구조 및 분비과립 형성에 관한연구)

  • Ultrastructure of the cutaneous granular glands and production of their secretory granules in the water toad, Bufo steinegeri Schmidt, are studied with light and electron microscopes. Cutaneous granular glands of the water toad have gland cavity in dermis and gland duct in epidermis. Each gland cavity of the granular glands is consisted of 3 types of cells which are inner glandular epithelial cells, outermost myoepithelial cells and another kind of epithelial cells near the gland duct. Characteristically, cytoplasms of the glandular epitelial cells appeared multinucleated masses without differentiation into cells. Poisonous secretory graules excreated by the merocrine secretion are basicafly composed of 2 kinds of granules which are electron dense granules and electron lucent granules. These granules are fused each other and forming compounded structures. According to the granular size and differentiated levels, they are subdivided into 4 types of granules. Synthesis of these secretory granules is occurred at the smooth endoplasmic reticulums of the glandular epithelial cells and limiting membranes of these granules are also originated from these cell organelles.

Histological and Histochemical Studies on the Cutaneous Mucous Glands According to the Development of Frog, Rana nigromaculata (개구리(Rana nigromaculata)발생에 따른 피부점액선의 조직학적 및 조직화학적 연구)

  • The present study was performed histologically and histochemically to observe the cutaneous mucous glands in the frog, Rana nigromaculata during metamorphosis. The cutaneous thssues including dermal plicae in the dorsal portions of the frog tadpoles at each metamorphosis stage were fixed in 10% buffered formalin at$4^{\circ}C$, embedded in paraffin wax, sectioned 4 $\mu$m thickness and stained with periodic acid-Schiff(PAS) and alcian blue (AB) at both pH 2.5 and pH 1.0. The results of observation were as follows: 1. The developments of cutaneous mucous glands of the frog tadpole were begun with appearance of gland cell nest in the dermis at metamorphosis XV stage and significant numerical increases could be seen at metamorphosis XX, XXIII and XXIV stages. 2. This cutaneous mucous gland of the frog tadpole could be divided into two types; A-type glands showed strong positivities to both PAS and AB at pH 2.5 in the gland body cells and to PAS in the gland neck cells, and B-type glands at AB pH 2.5 in the gland body cells. 3. In the A-type mucous glands, the reactivities of the glandular epithelial cells to both PAS and AB stain could be first seen at the metamorphosis XIX stage of frog tadpole. The reactivities of the glandular epithelial cells to both PAS and AB pH 2.5 were gradually increased according to the process of metamorphosis after XX stage of metamorphosis. 4. The B-type mucous glands were first seen at the XX stage and the reactivity of the glandular epithelial cells to AB at pH 2.5 was gradually increased according to the process of metamorphosis after XX stage. 5. The A-type and the B-type mucous glands were in the ratio of 99 : 1, 7 : 3 and 5.5 : 4.5 for each of metamorphosis XX, XXI-XXII and XXIII-XXV stages. 6. The remarkable development of the cutaneous mucous glands of the frog tadpoles might be needed to maintain water and electrolyte balances according to the change of way from aquatic life to amphibious.

CNS 운전원의 행위자료 및 정신부하 측정체계 개발

  • CNS의 인간공학적 실험 평가 항목중 중요 요소의 하나인 운전원의 인지적 작업부하(정보입력, 의사결정, 및 정서적 부하)를 평가하기 위해 인지적부하를 부과할 수 있는 사건 시나리오 구성방법, 피실험자에 대한 훈련 방법, 실험과 디브리핑을 통한 운전원 행위 및 사건 경위 기록 체계를 개발하였다. 운전원 행위자료 데이타베이스에는 특정 요소행위 시점, 관측행위 분류, 사용된 표시장치, 의사결정내용, 사용된 조종장치, 조종행위분류, 운전원간 의사소통 내용, 정서상태, 표시장치 및 조종장치의 사용편의성 여부 및 불편이유, 주요사건 발생시점에 관한 정보가 기록되었다. 운전중 CNS 운전원에 제시되는 자극의 변화에 수반되는 운전원의 생리적 변화를 측정하여 이로부터 운전원이 받는 정신부하를 측정하는 체계를 개발하였다. 이를 위해 ECG, EEG, 호흡패턴,피부온도, 수평EOG, 수직EOG, 심박률, 및 호흡률의 생리변수에 대한 측정이 이루 어졌으며 각각의 신호를 초당 100개씩 샘플링하여 A/D 변환하고 정신부하 추정 알고리즘을 거쳐 정신부하 여부를 판정하는 점수를 구하였다. 다차원의 정신부하 판정 점수는 OR gate에 의해 통합되어 정신부하 발생시점과 함께 정신부하데이터베이스에 기록되었다.

  • 기업의 비즈니스 프로세스가 복잡, 다양해짐에 따라, 현재 운영 시스템에 대한 급격한 기술적 변화를 수용하고 이를 조직적 측면의 기업 프로세스로 적용하기 위해 레가시 시스템의 현대화가 요구된다. 따라서, 현재의 기업들은 다양한 사용자들이 각자 그들의 관점에서 필요한 비즈니스 요구들을 웹 상에서 처리시킬 수 있도록 J2EE, .NET 등으로 대표되는 컴포넌트 및 웹 서비스 기술을 적용한 새로운 e-business 환경을 수용해야만 한다. 하지만, 기업 조직의 중요한 지식과 프로세스들을 처리하는 시스템들은 대부분 과거(Legacy)의 기술에 의해 개발되어졌으며, 이러한 시스템들을 새로운 비즈니스 환경에 적용하기에는 웹 환경을 위한 분산 아키텍쳐의 결여와 개방성과 표준화 미흡으로 시스템의 유지보수에 많은 어려움을 가진다. 또한, 방법론 차원에서 재공학의 절차와 기법을 체계적으로 정의하고 지원하기 위한 노력이 매우 부족한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 레거시 시스템을 새로운 시스템 환경으로의 변환 및 통합을 위한 재공학 방법론 개발을 목적으로 프로그램 분석 활동을 설명한다. 본 논문에서 개발하고자 하는 방법론은 다양한 추상화 수준에서 역공학 정보를 복구하고, 컴포넌트화 단계를 통해 새로운 시스템으로 진화할 수 있는 절차 및 기법들을 제공한다. 레거시 시스템 컴포넌트화 방법론은 변환계획 단계, 역공학 단계, 컴포넌트화 단계, 인도 단계의 4 단계로 구성되어 있으며, 본 논문에서는 전체 단계 중 가장 기초가 되고 중요한 단계인 역공학 단계에 초점을 두고 프로그램 분석을 위한 절차 및 과정의 주요 지침들을 제시한다.0보다 유의적으로 우수하였으며, 맛, 다즙성 및 전체적인 기호도는 TMR-0 및 TMR-1 사이에 유의성이 없었다(p<0.05).能性)을 알아보고자 본(本) 실험(實驗)을 실시(實施)한 결과(結果), 유의성(有意性) 있는 결과(結果)를 얻었기에 보고(報告)하는 바이다.또한 이들 상피세포(上皮細胞)들을 투과전자현미경적(透過電子顯微鏡的)으로 관찰(觀察)하였을 때 초미세구조(超微細構造)가 잘 보존(保存)되었으나 Langer-hans cell내(內)의 Birbeck granule은 유리전(遊離前) 피부상피조직내(皮膚上皮組織內)의 Langerhans cell내(內)의 Birbeck granule에 비(比)해 수적(數的)으로 현저히 감소(減少)되어 있었다. 그러나 Thy-1 양성(陽性) dendritic cell에서 볼 수 있는 dense-core 과립(顆粒)은 별변화(別變化)없이 쉽게 관찰(觀察)될 수 있었다. 조직배양(組織培養)을 한 견(犬)의 keratinocyte에 대(對)해 사람 pemphigus vulgaris의 항체(抗體)로 반응(反應)시킨 후 protein-A gold(15 nm)로 표식(標識)시킨 바 제일 바깥 상층(上層)의 keratinocyte에 있어서 세포막표면(細胞膜表面)을 따라 표식(標識)되어 세포막항원(細胞膜抗元)을 나타내었으며, 이와 같은 소견(所見)으로 미루어 정상피부(正常皮膚) 중층편평상피세포(重層扁平上皮細胞)에서도 동일(同一)한 소견(所見)을 관찰(觀察)할 수 있다고 본다.al remnants, Resorption of fetus로 관찰된 것이다. Automatic Nerve Activity to Physiologic Response in Adult With Psychiatric Disorder: A Systemic Review (성인 정신장애의 청각자극에 따른 생리학적 반응 측정에 대한 체계적 고찰)

  • Objective : The aim of this study was to provide the method to measure physiologic response using equipments and auditory stimulation, and the physiologic response features of adult psychiatric disorders through a systemic review. Methods : The systemic review was executed using PubMed. The key words for search were "auditory stimulation, auditory startle, electromyograph, skin conductance, heart rate, psychiatric disorder, anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, depression". 8 studies were used for data analysis, and all of levels of evidence were level II. The substances of the review were subject(population), auditory stimulation, measure equipments and physiologic response features of psychiatric disorder. Results : 1. The subjects for the studies were anxiety disorder(4) and schizophrenia(4). 2. Auditory stimulation was used in 8 studies and visual stimulation with auditory stimulation was used in 2 studies to induce physiologic response. 3. Every study used electromyograph, and skin conductance was used in 2 studies and heart rate was used in 2 studies with electromyograph to measure physiologic response. 4. The subjects for the studies, schizophrenia and anxiety disorder(PTSD, OCD) have different physiologic response features with the normal control group. Conclusion : All studies used simple tones as an auditory stimulation and electromyograph to measure physiologic response. Psychiatric disorders indicated larger response, shorter and delayed habituation. The objective and systematic study using physiologic measure to investigate the sensory feature of psychologic disorders.

Affective interaction to emotion expressive VR agents (가상현실 에이전트와의 감성적 상호작용 기법)

  • This study evaluate user feedback such as physiological response and facial expression when subjects play a social decision making game with interactive virtual agent partners. In the social decision making game, subjects will invest some of money or credit in one of projects. Their partners (virtual agents) will also invest in one of the projects. They will interact with different kinds of virtual agents which behave reciprocated or unreciprocated behavior while expressing socially affective facial expression. The total money or credit which the subject earns is contingent on partner's choice. From this study, I observed that subject's appraisal of interaction with cooperative/uncooperative (or friendly/unfriendly) virtual agents in an investment game result in increased autonomic and somatic response, and that these responses were observed by physiological signal and facial expression in real time. For assessing user feedback, Photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor, Galvanic skin response (GSR) sensor while capturing front facial image of the subject from web camera were used. After all trials, subjects asked to answer to questions associated with evaluation how much these interaction with virtual agents affect to their appraisals.

Preliminary Studies on the Necropsy-Based Health Assessment Index (HAI) Using a Ecological Indicator Species (생태 지표종을 이용한 해부학적 건강성 평가지수(HAI) 적용을 위한 예비실험)

  • Biological health in aquatic environments has been assessed by several approaches using various bio-taxa. Especially, fish has been identified as one of the best ecological indicators for an integrative health assessments in aquatic environments. In this preliminary study, the necropsy-based approach using the Health Assessment Index (Adams et al., 1993; HAI, Blazer, 2000), was employed for the assessments of aquatic environments influenced by effluent water from wastewater disposal plants (WDP) near a urban stream (i.e., Cap-Stream). For the impact analysis from the effluents, we developed 10 metric necropsy-based model including $M_l\;skin,\;M_2\;fin,\;M_3\;thymus,\;M_4\;spleen,\;M_5\;hindgut,\;M_6\;kidney,\;M_7\;liver.\;M_8\;eyes,\;M_9\;gill,\;and\;M_{10}$ pseudobranch. We set up duplicate controls (natural upstream water plus 5 fishes in each control tank) and duplicate treatments (effluent water from the WDP plus 5 fishes in each treatment tank) in the laboratory. Preliminary results showed that HAI values in the controls were zero, indicating an excellent condition by the criteria of HAI, while the HAI values in the treatments ranged between 40 and 150, indicating a poor condition. Also, various health conditions, based on the index of biological integrity (IBI), species richness, tolerance guilds, and trophic guilds supported the HAI approach. The HAI approach, not applied in Korea, not may be used as an surrogate fer ecological health assessment in lotic ecosystems.
