Objective:To review the patterns of the dermatologic consultations of psychiatric adolescent inpatient and to explore the relationship between the dermatologic disorders and psychiatric disorders. Methods:We retrospectively studied the data from 22 cases referred by psychiatric adolescent for a dermatologic consultation over 10 years in Daegu Catholic University Medical Center and compared with the data from 108 cases referred by the other department adolescent patients. Results:The mean age of patients was 15.9. The male to female ratio was 1:1.44. The most common psychiatric and dermatologic disorder was major depressive disorder and acne, respectively. The most frequent reason for consultation was to ask for dermatologic disease or condition(54.5%) followed by to perform cosmetic procedure of patients need(40.9%) and to perform dermatologic test(4.6%). Conclusions:More than just a cosmetic disfigurement, dermatologic disorders are associated with a variety of psychopathologic problems that can affect the patient. Increased understanding of biopsychosocial approaches and liaison among psychiatrists and dermatologists could be beneficial.

건강하고 깨끗한 피부, 주름 없는 피부를 간직하고 살 수 있는 비결은 피부를 어떻게 고나리하느냐에 달려있다. 이제까지 우리는 피부 노화가 단지 나이라는 어쩔 수 없는 현상이라고만 생각한 채 체념해 왔지만 피부 노화의 주된 요인은 가는 세월이 아니라 햇빛(자외선)과 피부에 대한 무관심이라 할 수 있다. 건강도 건강할 때 지키라는 말이 있듯이 피부도 젊었을 때 더 늙지 않도록 관리하면 나이보다 훨씬 젊은 얼굴로 살아갈 수 있다. 이번 9월호 특집에서는 S&Y피부과 여운철 원장과 경희의료원 피부과 이무형 교수의 도움말로 '피부 노화'에 대해 자세히 알아 본다.

Background: Patients with acne are at risk of using various over-the-counter drugs (OTCs). In addition, several OTCs are introduced in pharmacies in Korea. However, only few drugs are supported by well-established data. Among the treatments, acne patches are easy to purchase and use. Thus, they are widely used by patients. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the patient's perception and usage of acne patches. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted on 80 patients with acne who visited the outpatient department of the National Medical Center for 2 months. Results: A total of 42 (52.5%) patients answered that they had used acne patches, and 38 (47.5%) patients stated that they had never used patches. Moreover, 27 (64.29%) patients responded that they used the patches on inflammatory lesions. Moreover, several patients were using acne patches after pricking themselves. There was only one response to confirm the ingredient when purchasing acne patch. Moreover, 14 (33.33%) participants responded that they noted side effects after using acne patches. Overall, the satisfaction score for the use of acne patches was 5.05. Conclusion: Patients often use acne patches because they can be easily purchased and used. However, they do not know how to properly choose and use the product that fits their skin. Therefore, doctors must educate patients on how to properly select and use the products.

피부는 신체를 둘러싸고 있는 하나의 막이다. 이것은 우리의 생명 보존에 절대 불가결한 것이며 그 사람이 살아온 과정과 연륜을 말해주는 것으로 나무의 나이테와 같은 것이라고 할 수 있다. 피부의 총 면적은 개인에 따라 약간씩 차이는 있지만 평균 1.5~2.0㎡ 정도이고 피부의 두께는 평균 2mm이며 피하조직을 제외한 두께는 약 1.4mm정도이다. 신체 부위 중 가장 얇은 곳은 눈꺼풀이며 가장 두터운 곳은 손, 발바닥이다. 인체의 신비를 보여주는 우리 몸의 기관 그 세 번째 피부에 대해서 한림대학교 성심병원 피부과 김철우 교수, 리더스 피부과(강남 압구정점) 박병순 전문의의 도움말로 알아본다.
