  • 플라즈마 트랜스퍼드 아크(PTA) 용사는 플라즈마 아크 용접 장치에 선형의 용접봉을 이용하는 대신 분말 형태의 용접재를 주입하여 주로 마모나 부식에 노출되는 금속의 표면에 적용하여 금속 표면의 내식 내마모 특성을 향상시키는 기술이다. 본 논문에서는 용사전류가 표면개질부에 미치는 기하학적 형상 및 미세조직에 미치는 영향에 대하여 알아보았다. 낮은 전류에서는 접합이 이루어지지 않았고 높은 전류에서는 모재로 희석되어 들어가는 현상을 보였다.

  • 핵융합로에서 고온, 고에너지 플라즈마에 장기간 노출되는 플라즈마 대면재는 고속 입자와 중성자에 의한 열화 및 침식과 높은 열부하를 견뎌야 하므로 높은 수준의 재료기술과 표면 코팅기술의 개발이 필요하다. 텅스텐은 용융점이 높고, 스퍼터링(Sputtering) 현상이 적으며, Tritium 재침적 현상이 제한되는 우수한 특성 때문에 핵융합로 대면제에 적용하기 위한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 VPS(vacuum plasma spray) 장비를 이용하여 5, 10, $25{\mu}m$ 크기의 텅스텐 분말을FM(ferritic-martenitic) steel 기판에 용사 코팅하였다. 입자 크기를 달리하여 제작한 3종의 시편은 시편 전후 두께 및 무게 변화, 현미경이미지, 비커스 경도, 3D 표면 형상, XRD를 이용하여 코팅층의 특성을 평가하였으며, $10{\mu}m$ 크기의 텅스텐 분말 시편이 가장 우수한 특성을 나타내는 것을 확인하였다.

Acoustic Emission Characteristics of Plasma Sprayed Ceramic Coating Layer after Salt Spray (플라즈마용사 세라믹코팅 피막부식재의 음향방출 특성)

  • This paper was to investigate of a adhesiveness for the plasma sprayed coating materials did salt spray by acoustic emission method in tensile loadings. The powders used for the coating were nickel aluminum composite powder Ni-4.5wt.%Al and titanium dioxide powder $TiO_2$. These powders were coated on a carbon steel S45C by plasma spray method. The result solution was a 5% NaCl and the slat spray times were 2, 5 and 10 hours respectively. The salt solution penetrated into the surface of the substrate through pore of the coating layer built in the process of plasma spay. Corrosion productions formed on the surface of substrate. The adhesiveness between the substrate and the coating layer is weaken by corrosion and the exfoliation initiated chiefly at the corrosion surface of the substrate. The AE events and energy of the corroded coating specimens decreased as the salt spray times increased.

  • In this study, bond strength tests were performed for the thermal barrier coating applied to the 1st stage turbine blade. After the tests, the specimens were cut and the locations of failure were observed by using optical microscope. The influence of heat treatment on bond strength of a bond coating and the difference among the three types of bond coatings are treated.

  • In this experimental investigation, various plasma-sprayed zirconia contained coatings and a kind of alumina-zirconia coating were studied to gain a better understanding of their tribological behaviour under dry contact condition in a reciprocating motion at temperature of 200℃. Particular attention was made for finding appropriate coatings in cylinder liner/piston ring application with an emphasis on the antiwear property. In order to identify the wear mechanism, SEM(Scanning Electron Microscope), optical micrograph, and roughness tester were used. Alumina-zirconia and 8% yttria-zirconia were found to be most appropriate for the application to the cylinder liner/piston ring and, especially, alumina-zirconia exhibited highest wear-resistance and also showed good friction characteristics. Wear mechanisms of ceramic coatings identified.
