We are faced with the crisis of the R&D investment because of the effects of the IMF conditions. Most of the laboratories are going to restructure by the cutting off of money, man power and the reduction of R&D theme. Therefore it is necessary to allocate the R&D resources effectively to R&D projects. The evaluation and the selection of R&D projects have been recognized as the most important process for the allocation of the R&D resources. The result of the KITA(1997) shows that the commercial success rate of the R&D from new-product brain storming is only 5.8%. This study aims to analyze the actual conditions of the cost benefit analysis(CBA) of R&D projects of selected laboratories and to study measure methods of the R&D benefits. The research method of this study reviews the CBA of R&D firstly, and surveys 200 selected high ranking labs of R＆D expenditures. For the comparison of the results between '87 and '97, this survey used the same questionary for each year. As the result of the survey only 27 labs(response rate 13.5%) responded. The result of the '97 survey is as follows : The CBA is used by 44% of responding labs. The economic evaluation method for the R&D project selection is used by 48% of labs and this numbers increased by over 10 percents points compared with the result of '87. The CBA is used for about 40% about each of the budget preparing and the budget analysis, and by 30% of labs to analyze sales and expenditures of the overall period of the project. As the measurement of benefits of R&D projects, 30% of labs responded that it is impossible to measure the benefits, and 20% of labs measured the benefits between sales and expenditures of R&D projects.

There are some of the tools for measuring enterprise and group behavior on construction projects. Of these, performance is vital. But, because of imperfect factors, it came under attack. An enterprise can, however, improve it's problem with performance measurement. For this reason, it is essential tool for achieving objectives of an enterprise. Domestic construction industry must understand that what isn't measured, it not only can't manage it also can't improve. The objective of this study is to investigate the performance measurement tools and items in overseas construction projects(UK, Australia). Based on the data, the study suggests the considerable items, problems and restrictive factors as it is accepted on domestic construction industry.

Six Sigma keeps its continuous change in terms of its strategies and methodologies for 20 years since it is introduced in the industry Developing innovative business management strategies creating a higher synergy effect has been Pursued by combining Six Sigma and different business strategies. In fact, various research studies have been performed for grafting lean production theory with Six Sigma concept. Specifically, the companies which obtained positive results from the applications of Six Sigma are trying to adopt Lean Six Sigma theory for their business strategies. However, the research studies or the applications of Lean Six Sigma are insufficient in the construction industry compared to the other industries such as manufacturing. In order to deal effectively with this issue, this research study suggests the improved and restructured Six Sigma DMAIC processes by embodying the existing Six Sigma DMAIC processes applied on construction projects and improving them through the improvement territories of Lean Six Sigma studied in advance.

Construction companies are fulfilled in according to project, and it is difficult to execute the standardized process in various construction projects. Thus many construction companies is adopting BPM(Business Process Management) that meet business process change and business improvement. However, it is difficult to apply BPM in a lump because of difference of BPM characteristics and company's strategies. For this reason, it is desirable to select business process based on company's priority. This study indicated need of method for selecting business process through studying current researches, and made BPA for construction company by analyzing business process in construction company. Moreover, this study indicated core business process from a point of profitability and growth view through grasping strategic goal priority. And also, it proposed criteria for process evaluation for BPM adoption, evaluated core business process, and indicated prior business process for BPM adoption.

The purpose of this paper is to develop a benchmark of performance standards for Global Logistics Provider in the merging logistics market. The Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) can be employed to compare and analyse the efficiencies of Global Logistics Provider(3PL, 4PL). That is because Global Logistics Providers are able to reach the highest level of efficiency by using Logistics institutions and Logistics service systematically. This research is focused on analyzing the efficiencies of top 40 Global Logistics Providers. The framework assumes that the Providers use three inputs to produce one output. The inputs include number of employees information system, and number of warehouses. The output is the annual turnover. The results show that Panalpina, C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Maersk Logistics/Damco, Hub Group, Lander Global Logistics on Global Logistics Providers are the efficient providers. This paper also allows the inefficient DMUs to establish their benchmarking strategies. The strategies are dependent on the assets such as number of employees, information system, and number of warehouses.

To achieve project successfully in domestic construction site, pre-management of risk is important factor. Synthesis Construction Document made early construction is representative as means of pre-management of risk. But, Synthesis Construction Document is not working properly for pre-management of risk because the level is low as Synthesis Construction Document is made formally and the time is too late to pre manage the risk for various factor. A epoch-making method that differ with existing need to solve this deep-rooted problem of domestic construction site. So, this study is analyzing to achieve subject to heighten level Synthesis Construction Document and shorten creation period with "S"construction company(introducing 6sigma by tool of management innovation 6 sigma)'s data and offering an opportunity that heightens effectiveness and goes forward and aims possibility about construction site suitability of 6sigma by confirming Pilot Test.

Many Korean companies wanted to improve technological competitiveness and business performance radically through technology leadership initiatives. In-depth case studies about successful Korean technological innovation in the technology generation stage have potential to minimize Korea and developing country firms' trial and error when they are pursuing new technological innovation in the technology generation stage. There are few studies about developing country firms' technological innovations in the technology generation stage and especially process innovation studies are far less performed compared to product innovation studies. This is an exploratory study of POSCO's FINEX process technology innovation in the technology generation stage. These are my findings from this study. Firstly, leadership innovation in the technology generation stage is not a continuous development of catch-up innovation in the technology internalization stage and only top managements can initiate highly risky leadership innovation. Secondly, developing country firms which lacked in technological capability overcomes difficulties in the early stage through complementary technological collaboration with R&D first-movers. Thirdly, this company become a technology leader in spite of late entry in technology development race with developed country firms through rapid scale-ups.

The relationship between R&D investment and subsequent change has been mostly confirmed under additional influencing factors, with the form of innovation investments. The research assumes that a firm adjusts its R&D spending in accordance to performance feedback. It is argued that an increased fluctuation of a firm's R&D expense is related to a reduced performance. This hypothesis is tested on SME in World class 300 Projet by SMBA. Using panel data models, instability measured by SD is related to performance levels measured by ROA, ROE & PM. Results support the proposed relationship between R&D expense instability and the subsequent performance. Although a causal link cannot be clearly established, the results indicate that firms with a lower performance have higher R&D investment fluctuations, possibly being more responsive to performance feedback.

Many organizations are applying robotic process automation (RPA) to automate repetitive and rule based tasks to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of works. Some members are willing to join the projects hoping to eliminate annoying and meaningless tasks, but others are resisting this innovation fearing that they may lose their jobs. In this study, both positive and negative antecedents are posited to influence the performance in adopting RPA. The effects of relative advantage, compatibility, change management effect, innovation resistance and satisfaction, conclusively to performance improvement were examined via a survey of 109 employees involved in the 11 RPA projects in a manufacturing company, and the structural equation model analysis. The research considering the consumer characteristics of the innovation resistance model can be followed for the development of individualized change management strategy.

Novel Engineering(NE) is integrated learning model to figure out problems in a book and solve them with creative engineering process. NE has been performed on offline until now. We have to research blended learning projects for COVID-19 outbreak. In this paper, we are going to explore that blended NE is effective to creative problem solving ability. The results showed that blended NE is highly effective to all of four sub-elements; self conviction & independence, diffusion thinking, critical thinking and motivational element. This means that blended novel engineering class is effective to competence-centered class proposed in 2015 revised curriculum. We hope that the research is spread and settled into our school.
