A systematic process for establishing basic system of corporate identification (CI 기본 시스템 구축을 위한 체계적 프로세스)

  • Recent Ci(Corporate Identification) booming in korea is representing the importance of managing corporate imge through design. This study aims to identify how corporations can establish desirable corporate image through the selection of basic elements (symbol, logotype, corporate color and others). One of the major reasons for the study is that the selecting procedure and evaluating criteria for basic elements are not well organuzed(or developed) yet. As the first step, the nature of managing corporato imnge, corporate identification and the needs of establishing process for CI basic system and field work. Then, the study suggested a systematic process for cstablishing basic systcm of corporate identity program. Finally, overall procedure and specific guidelines in each stage of the process in relation to the objectives of corporate activitice, basic corporate image strategios and the adoption patterns of CI have developed.

  • So far, the port cargo handling capacity of general cargo was computed using simple formulae based on mathematical models. However, this simple calculation could not be able to reflect the reality. Thus, the simulation method was applied in this paper to overcome the limitation that the calculation method used in the past studies has. The process occurring from arrival to departure of a ship, which is reflecting the process rules of berth, was modeled to estimate the optimum level of handling capacity by using an example of the loading and unloading of an appropriated wharf at the harbor, and simulation was performed by developing the prototype. The actual processing capability of Mukho port was compared to the estimated capability calculated using the simulation method and the optimum level of capability could be computed by repeatedly simulating the input variable condition of the simulation prototype.

An Effective Technique for Protecting Application Data using Security Enhanced (SE) Android in Rooted Android Phones (루팅된 안드로이드 폰에서 SEAndroid를 이용한 효과적인 앱 데이터 보호 기법)

  • This paper analyzes security threats in Security Enhanced (SE) Android and proposes a new technique to efficiently protect application data including private information on rooted Android phones. On an unrooted device, application data can be accessed by the application itself according to the access control models. However, on a rooted device, a root-privileged shell can disable part or all of the access control model enforcement procedures. Therefore, a root-privileged shell can directly access sensitive data of other applications, and a malicious application can leak the data of other applications outside the device. To address this problem, the proposed technique allows only some specific processes to access to the data of other applications including private information by modifying the existing SEAndroid Linux Security Module (LSM) Hook function. Also, a new domain type of process is added to the target system to enforce stronger security rules. In addition, the proposed technique separates the directory type of a newly installed application and the directory type of previously installed applications. Experimental results show that the proposed technique can effectively protect the data of each application and incur performance overhead up to or less than 2 seconds.

  • According to increase of concerning in health and entry of aging society, sensor-based smart clothing has developed various type and applications. Sensor-based smart clothing should be designed with considering of the interaction between a human body-device-clothing, such as accuracy of signal, wearability, suitability and the configuration of the sensor and so on. In this respect, these characteristics distinguish sensor-based smart clothing process from clothing process and Sensor-based smart clothing process is expected to be needing requirements Specification for development purpose and interoperability assessment based on requirements engineering. In this study, to assess efficiency of process based on requirement engineering, the sensor-based smart clothing process was deducted in two types by analysis of empirical performance. Presented two process were empirically evaluated through qualitative and quantitative evaluation. As a result, design process II based on requiments engineering were confirmed more effective process than processI.

  • Most of electronic medical record systems which have been built in Korean hospitals are based on source oriented medical record approach. These systems hardly satisfy diverse objectives owing to the innate imperfections in system architecture and development methodology. Thus, the hybrid of source oriented and problem oriented approach is highly desirable. The purpose of this study is to present an architecture and methodology required to construct hybrid electronic medical record system and to develop a prototype based on them. Analyzing the clinical processes and data requirements of problem oriented medical record approach we developed a software process model as weel as an architecture model which consists of legacy system, clinical data repository, problem list database, prospective plan database, user interface, and synchronization procedures.

  • Most of construction companies recognize importance of immaterial assets in an age of unlimited competition. And construction companies that are concerned about Knowledge Management have used the system of it for critical ability of company. But they used the system for the storage of construction knowledge. So, the present KM system was gradually under operating. To introduce KMS based on Business Process Management(BPM), the purpose of this study is to consider BPM and KMS through the existing researches. we deduce the concept for introducing KMS based on BPM and present the expected effectiveness of it. Finally, we present the prototype of system for KMS based on BPM.

A Study on UX-centered Smart Office Phone Design Development Process Using Service Design Process (서비스디자인 프로세스를 활용한 UX중심 오피스 전화기 디자인개발 프로세스 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to propose a "user experience (UX)-centered product development process" so that the product design development process using the service design process can be systematized and used in practice. In a situation in which usability research on office phones is lacking compared to general home phones, this study expands to a product-based service design point of view rather than simple product development, intending to research ways to provide user experience value through office phone design in smart office. This study focused on extracting UX-centered user needs using the service design process and developing product design that realizes user experience value. In particular, the service design process was applied to systematically extract user needs and experience value elements in the product development process and to discover ideas that were converged with product-based services. For this purpose, the "Double Diamond Design Process Model," which is widely used in the service design field, was adopted. In addition, a product design development process was established so that usability improvement plans, user experience value elements, and product-service connected ideas could be extracted through a work-flow in which real users and people from various fields participate. Based on the double diamond design process, in the "Discover" information collection stage, design trends were identified mainly in the office phone markets. In the "Define" analysis and extraction stage, user needs were analyzed through user observation, interview, and usability survey, and design requirements and user experience issues were extracted. Persona was set through user type analysis, and user scenarios were presented. In the "Develop" development stage, ideation workshops and concept renderings were conducted to embody the design, and people from various fields within the company participated to set the design direction reflecting design preference and usability improvement plans. In the "Deliver" improvement/prototype development/evaluation stage, a working mock-up of a design prototype was produced and design and usability evaluation were conducted through consultation with external design experts. It is meaningful that it established a "UX-centered product development process" model that converged with the existing product design development process and service design process. Ultimately, service design-based product design development process was presented so that I Corp.'s products could realize user experience value through service convergence.

  • Product Line Engineering(PLE) is a software reuse paradigm that core assets are defined using common features in a domain and are instantiated in various applications. To apply the core asset effectively, variants which satisfy application requirements are extracted and the core asset should be also instantiated based on the variants. For the work, variability on architecture and components should be extracted exactly and an instantiation process and guidelines should be defined based on this variability In this paper, we define variability types depending on core assets elements and describe artifact templates related to tile variability. We also propose a systematic process which uses defined core assets including variability and verify practicability of the proposed process and variability expression through doing ease study. If utilizing with the proposed process in PLE, it can be feasible to model concrete core asset and variability and to utilize practical application engineering.

  • 요즘 값싼 PC를 빠른 네트웍으로 묶어 높은 성능을 얻고자하는 클러스터 컴퓨팅에 대한 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 연구 중 클러스터 컴퓨팅 환경을 구성하는 여러 컴퓨터들을 하나의 컴퓨터처럼 보이게 해주는 단일 시스템 이미지 서비스는 사용자에게 쓰기 편리한 환경과 높은 가용성을 제공하여 준다. 단일 시스템 이미지 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 단일 프로세스 공간, 단일 메모리 공간 및 단일 디스크 입출력을 제공하여 주어야 한다. 단일 디스크 입출력은 여러 컴퓨터에 나누어져 있는 디스크들을 하나의 큰 디스크로 보여주고 여러 디스크들을 효율적으로 사용할 수 있도록 서비스를 제공한다. 이러한 단일 디스크 입출력을 사용자 수준이나 파일 시스템 수준에서 제공하여 주는 것은 성능 측면이나 투명성의 측면에서 커널 모듈로 제공하여 주는 것 보다 좋지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 단일 디스크 입출력을 위하여 커널 모듈 프로토타입을 설계하고 구현한다. 그리고 네트웍 파일 시스템과 단일 디스크를 이용하여 단일 디스크 입출력을 위한 터널 모듈의 성능과 비교, 분석한다.

RBAC for multi-organizational Business Process Management (기업간 비즈니스 프로세스 관리에서의 접근 권한 통제)

  • As the number of users who are involved in a business process increases, it becomes imperative to effectively control their privileges of accessing sensitive data and information which are usually easily obtained by BPM system. Traditional RBAC (Role-based Access Control) model was first introduced to provide a logical framework to prevent unauthorized users from obtaining confidential, but in more dynamic environment such as B2B and SCM process, it usually lacks in capability of addressing such issues as configurability, customizability, or scalability of user privileges. In this study, we have proposed a privilege-template based RBAC model that can address such issues effectively. We also provided a design of the RBAC model along with illustrative examples and pseudo codes that can be used for implementing a prototype system.
