Bonding Property and Reliability for Press-fit Interconnection (Press-fit 단자 접합특성 및 신뢰성)

  • Soldering technology has been used in electronic industry for a long time. However, due to solder fatigue characteristics, automotive electronics are searching the semi-permanent interconnection technology such as press-fit method. Press fit interconnection is a joining technology that mechanically inserts a press fit metal terminal into a through hole in a board, and induces a strong bonding by closely contacting the inner surface joining of the through hole by plastic deformation of press-fit terminal. In this paper, the bonding properties of press-fit interconnection are investigated with PCB hole size and surface finishes. In order to compare interconnection reliability between the press fit and soldering, the change in resistance of the press-fit and soldering joints was observed during thermal shock test. After thermal cycling, the failure modes are investigated to reveal the degradation mechanism both press-fit and soldering technology.

  • 유동대전 현상을 밝히기 위해 간단한 유순환 장치에 설치된 프레스보드관(pressboard pipe)을 통하여 변압기 유를 순환시키면서 기초적인 실험을 행하였다. 특히, 측정 전극에 교류전계를 인가할 때 이것이 유동대전에 미치는 영향에 대하여 고찰하였다. 측정값은 절연유내에 분포된 전하의 분리와 완화에 기초를 둔 이론적 개념으로부터 유도된 공식에 의하여 검토되었다. 유동 대전은 외부에 교류전계를 인가하는 것에 의하여 증가하는 경향을 나타냈으며, 이는 교류전계의 전기력이 계면부근의 절연유내에 분포되어 있는 과잉전하에 영향을 준 결과로 나타난 현상임을 알 수 있었다.

Effect of Structure on the Sound Absorption and Sound Transmission Loss of Composite Sheet (복합시트의 구조가 흡·차음성에 미치는 영향)

  • The effect of structure on the sound absorption and sound transmission loss of composite sheet was investigated. A sheet of polypropylene was bonded by hot press with nonwoven fabric sheets of polyethylene terephthalate on the top side and the back side. Absorption coefficient of composite sheet using nonwoven fabric with surface density of $0.64kg/m^2$ was 0.1-0.2. It is 100-400% improvement compare to that of polypropylene sheet. The transmission loss of composite sheet was increased with surface density of polypropylene board and introduction of hemisphere hole on the surface of sheet. Two types of composite sheet were made using flat sheet and sine wave shaped sheet and the effect of sheet structure on the transmission loss was investigated.

  • This study proposes customized design process and methodology for wordpress web service based on structural analysis of wordpress theme components to enhance design quality of wordpress sites and increase designer's role in wordpress service domain. Firstly, we have identified problems of wordpress theme information through exploring theme search and theme information analysis in main wordpress theme markets. Secondly, we set up case study to experiment full process of wordpress theme based web design, then found unique problems in each design phases. As a result, customized design process and methodology are proposed for wordpress theme based web design.

Study on the electrical and mechanical properties of insulating paper (절연지의 기계적 및 전기적 물성에 대한 연구)

  • In order to elucidate the electrical and mechanical properties of insulating paper, it is desirable to study the performances of tensile strength, dielectric constant, dielectric strength. In this work, we constructed the characteristics depending on change of fabrication condition, and these specimens were manufactured by hot press method. As a result, tensile strength was about 75MPa and breakdown was above 5 kV/mm at the minimum value.

  • The pressing process is a compression process in which a product is made by applying force to a heated or unheated material to transform it into the desired shape. Due to the characteristics of press equipment that produces products through continuous compression for a short time, product defects occur continuously, and systems for solving these problems are being developed using various technologies. This paper proposes a real-time defect detection system based on an artificial intelligence algorithm that detects defects. By attaching various sensors to the press device, the relationship between equipment status and defects is defined and collected based on a big data platform. By developing an artificial intelligence algorithm based on the collected data and implementing the developed algorithm using an embedded board, we will show the practicality of the system by applying it to the actual field.

  • In this study, to develop angle ring pressboards for high voltage transformers, the radius and thickness are modified under the conditions of temperature and humidity. In particular, a pressboard with a thickness of 6 mm and a radius at the angled part were investigated based on the simulation of the principal stress from the angled optimization profile shape. As a result, by the appropriate application of a higher temperature, the solid insulation can be improved to reduce the moisture content for an optimized profile angle of a high voltage transformer. This also results in the improvement of the safety factor by 25%. It is determined that the electrical insulation properties of pressboards in high voltage transformers can be enhanced by improving their properties.

  • Pressboard is used for insulation oil-immersed equipment such as transformer. It's low cost, good electrical properties when immersed in oil, ease of storage and installation, and general reliability have made it virtually a universal choice. This study has examined fabricating specimen and specimen characteristics of pressboard.
