UQoS Management Middleware Framework for Internet-Based Multimedia Application (인터넷 기반 멀티미디어 응용을 위한 UQoS 관리 미들웨어 프레임워크)

  • This paper proposes a UQoSM (User Qualify of Service Middleware) framework for multimedia application systems. UQoSM system is extended the existing event service model added to the event monitoring, reflective event filtering and event dispatcher for supporting multimedia application systems. Especially, this paper is concentrated on providing suitable reflective event filtering function for multimedia application service system in order to meet various user requirements under inter-based environment. It means this system provides high QoS to users. In addition, it results in decreasing network traffic as unnecessary event information is filtered from network.

  • This study introduced the compact grouting method that can be used for improving soft ground and restoring buildings with unequal subsidence. The pump used in the traditional compact grouting method is a system that injects one hole each, which reduces the construction efficiency, and the analog injection method manually manages the construction by field workers, making it difficult to manage consistent quality. Pump and quality control system were developed to solve problems in existing construction. Since field supervisor determines amount of injected materials by using analog equipment and controls manually, it is difficult to manage consistent quality of construction. Therefore, the quality control system was developed in order to solve that problem. The quality control system consists of automatic mixing system of injection materials, multiple simultaneous injection pumps, and injection management monitoring system. Performance of the quality control system was verified through on-site testing, and ground improvement performance was verified through quality testing after testing and testing of the compact grouting method. Therefore, it is expected that the integrated quality control system developed will improve the quality assurance and efficiency and stability of construction at sites where construction and quality verification are difficult.

  • There exist virtual machine scheduling delays in virtualized environment in which virtual machines share physical resources. Many resource management systems have been proposed to provide better application QoS through monitoring and analyzing application performance and resource utilization of virtual machines. However, those management systems don't consider virtual machine scheduling delays, result in incorrect application performance evaluation and QoS violations In this paper, we propose an application behavior analysis considering the scheduling delays, and a virtual machine priority allocation scheme based on the analysis to improve the application response time by minimizing the overall virtual machine scheduling delays.

  • Dental implant has recently become one of the most viable treatment options for regaining the oral function and dental aesthetics compared with conventional fixed or removable dentures. Dental implants vary in material, dimensions, geometries, surface properties, and interface geometries. It has been reported that there has been a proliferation of manufacturers who produce implants using various materials and surface treatments, and the dentist needs to select from over 2,000 different dental implants and abutments in a specific treatment situation. Unfortunately, however, no metrics have been specifically identified for the purpose of quality assessment and selection of an appropriate dental implant. This study aims to provide practical guidelines for quality assessment of dental implant based on clinical data. Like other medical devices and materials, the superiority related to specific characteristics of the dental implant needs to be verified through extensive clinical studies. The procedures of clinical monitoring for dental implants have been proposed along with a case study to exemplify the usefulness of clinical monitoring for the purpose of continuous quality improvement in medical industry.

  • Electrical energy is the essential resource for modern society. Recently, the demand for power was significantly increased. Increase of power demand has lead to a decrease in the power quality. Power quality in modern society has been an important factor that can cause a major problem throughout the home and general industry. Therefore, we need a system for preventing the power quality problems. To avoid power issues, it is important that the measurement of the power quality and initial response. In this paper, we propose real-time power quality measurement system and harmonics monitoring system. We design the system using DM240001 board include dsPIC33FJ256GP710A of microchip. This system can adapt three-phase three-wire system. And optimized the algorithm, we can measure momentary changes of the power system. In addition, designed system can measure harmonics distortion like to VTHD, ITHD and ITDD for 31th harmonics.

Quality Change of Beverage Containing Muskmelon Vinegar and Concentrated Muskmelon Juice during Storage (참외 식초 및 농축액 함유 음료의 저장 중 품질 변화)

  • Response surface methodology(RSM) was used for monitoring the quality change of muskmelon beverage with storage temperature and time. Muskmelon beverage was prepared with the ratio of liquid fructose($11\%$), muskmelon vinegar($3\%$), concentrated muskmelon juice($1\%$) and refined water($84\%$). To examine physicochemical properties of muskmelon beverage, various factors such as color, brown color intensity and sugar content were determined using physicochemical methods. Physicochemical properties of muskmelon beverage were more affordable with the increased storage temperature. While, organoleptic properties decreased with the increased storage time and temperature. The result of this study indicated that the quality of muskmelon beverage was mostly influenced by the storage temperature. Muskmelon beverage showed the good score under $60^{\circ}C$ as a storage temperature.

  • The consulting company conducts consulting for the purpose of repurchasing consulting and the intention of repurchase according to the consulting quality appears in the small and medium enterprises which received the consulting service. The purpose of this study is to find out the difference of consulting service quality according to the degree of correspondence. As a result of the questionnaire and statistical analysis for consulting SMEs, it was confirmed that the quality of consulting service affects the intention of repurching consulting, Research shows that even though consulting service quality is high, it does not lead to re-purchase unless it responds appropriately to changes in the environment. In other words, in order to enhance service responsiveness, consulting firm should be able to monitor the market information that changes with service quality and build a response system to respond quickly. However, to generalize it, In order to increase the consulting repurchase intention, further research is needed to supplement the responsiveness of the consulting service in connection with the quality of the consulting service.

  • 밭 용수관리 및 가뭄 대응을 위한 토양수분 실측자료의 품질관리가 필수적으로 수행되어야 한다. 토양수분 자료의 체계적인 유지관리를 위해 국제 토양수분 네트워크(International Soil Moisture Network; ISMN)가 설립되었고, 전세계 1,400여개 지점의 토양수분량 자료의 품질관리하고 있다. ISMN 품질관리 방식은 토양특성, 강우에 대한 반응, 토양온도, 시계열특성을 이용한다. 지표면 최상 토층에 저장되어있는 수분인 토양수분은 기후 예측, 홍수 예보, 농업가뭄평가, 수자원 관리, 온실가스 산정, 인프라 보전, 수인성 전염병 모델링 등 다양한 분야에 활용될 수 있다(Dorigo et al., 2011). 본 연구에서는 FDR(Frequency Domain Reflectometry) 기기를 이용한 토양수분 측정자료의 품질관리를 위해 ISMN에서 제시한 총6개의 단계별 품질관리 체계를 적용하였다. 단계는 1) 토양수분이 0 m3m-3보다 작은지, 2) 또는 0.6 m3m-3보다 큰지, 3) 토양수분값이 공극률보다 큰지, 4) 토양온도가 영하인지, 5) 토양수분이 강우 이벤트 없이 증가하는지, 그리고 5) 토양수분 시계열 자료에 spike 가 있는지 6) break나 plateau가 있는지를 검사하여 Quality Flag를 설정하였다. 이를 기반으로 토양수분 데이터 자동 프로그램을 개발하여 이상치를 보정하였다. 향후, ISMN의 Quality Flag (QF1-QF10)를 적용하여 모니터링 자료의 품질관리 자동 프로그램을 개발하고자 한다.

  • Although a mobile Internet telephony service becomes popular with the rapid propagation of smart phones, its service quality management system has not been prepared enough yet. For successful settlement and deployment of the mobile Internet telephony service in future, a strict service quality management is required. The service quality management using a specific measurement equipment has limitations that real-time monitoring is impossible. In this paper, therefore, we propose a proactive service quality management system for the mobile Internet telephony service and develop a software for its implementation. The developed software is verified by comparing the measurement results from the developed software to those from the softwares commonly used, and it is proved that the developed software is quite reliable.

  • High-power semiconductor devices and microprocessors in factory electrical installation so sensitive to power quality measurements such as harmonic currents, voltage fluctuations, flicker, current imbalance. Therefore, the little change of power quality can influences the productivity of factory electrical machines. Troubleshooting these problems requires accurate measurements and analysis of power quality with monitoring instruments that can effectively locate issues and identify solutions. In this paper, the author presents hand-held power quality monitoring system to locate issues and identify solutions. The proposed system consists of two parts, One is to develop hand-held power meters by using NI(National Instrument) DAQ(Data Acquisition) and WLAN. Another is develop power quality monitoring MMI(Man-Machine Interface) using LabView software. To demonstrate the validity of the proposed algorithm, variable tests are carried out.
