우수 사슴 발굴 및 유통 활성화 대책

  • 사슴 수입개방으로 외국 사슴 수입 추진이 활발해짐에 따라 국내 사슴 분양을 기피하고 수입사슴에 대한 관심이 높아가고 있습니다. 그러나 수입된 사슴이나 수입될 사슴들이 수출국에서 종록이나 우수사슴(녹용 생산용)으로 기른 것이 아니고 녹육생산을 목적으로 개발된 일반 사슴으로 알려지고 있으며 혈통을 증명할 혈통서 없는 상업성(저질) 사슴 수입이 계속될 전망입니다. 따라서 본회는 품종개량과 녹용 생산성을 높이고 상업성 사슴수입을 저지하는 한편 국내 사슴의 유통활성화 대책으로 우수사슴 발굴규정, 사슴유통준칙, 지정분양장 규칙을 제정했으므로 모든 양록인의 참여와 활용을 바라는 바입니다.

  • 음식의 재료를 얻는 데 있어 그 편리함은 사람들의 음식습관에 영향을 주기 때문에, 본 논문에서는 먼저 대만 고추재배의 품종개량과 생산현황으로부터 전반적인 이해를 하고자 하며 나아가 신선한 생 고추 및 고추관련 가공식품, 예를 들어 고추장, 고추콩짜개된장(랄두판장. 두판: 콩짜개, 물에 불리거나 싹튼 콩), 고추기름, 말린고추 등을 전통 요리 속에서 응용하는 방법에 대해 조사하였다. 또한 식생활 속에서 고추가 끼친 영향을 연구하고 나아가 대만 음식 문화의 변화와 발전에 대해 탐구하였다. 음식문화의 발전은 분명 음식 재료의 생산과 사회.경제적 배경의 영향을 받는다.

The Agronomic Characteristics of the Yongcheonppong (Morus spp.) Appropriate for the Cold Region where the Freezing Injury Occured and Consideration on the Result of the Silkworm Rearing Affected by the Occured Frequency of the Freezing Injury (凍害常習地 적응 뽕품종 “龍川뽕”의 재배학적 특성 및 凍害 發生頻度에 따른 蠶作狀況의 몇가지 考察)

  • The Yongcheonppong was cultured in the form of a dense mulberry field coverd with polyethylene film and was tested in Suwon and Chunchon. The agronomic characteristic and some consideration on the result of the silkworm rearing were as follows. The Yongcheonppong was the medium budding variety and was longer in length of young shoots than the Kaeryangppong. The Yongcheonppong was higher in leaf yield in spring than the Kaeryangppong and was lower in leaf yield in autumn than the Kaeryangppong to the contrary. The Yongcheonppong was a little higher in the number of branches and was longer in the length of the branch than the Kaeryangppong and so was appropriate for rearing with mulberry shoots. Yongcheonppong was more resistant to twig blight and die-back and was a little susceptible to dwarf disease. As the Yongcheonppong was most resistant to the freezing injury, it was appropriate for the cold region and enabled the farmers to rear some amount of silkworms every year. In Chunchon, The Yongcheonppong increased by 11% in cocoon yield than the Kaeryangppong when the freezing injury occurred 1 year out of 2 years and produced about the same as the Kaeryangppong in cocoon yield when the freezing injury occurred 1 year out of 3 years.

Breeding of Good Quality Leaves High Yielding Mulberry Cultivar "Suilppong" (Morus alba L.) (양질다수성 뽕품종 "수일뽕" 육성)

  • New triploid mulberry cultivar, Suilppong was bred among selected lines from F$_1$ seedlings obtained by crossing the female, artificial tetraploid No. 411 which obtained from Chungilppong seedlings, and the male, Kugsang 21. Local adaptability test has been carried out at four places (Suwon, Kongju, Jeonju and Jangsung) for five years since 1997. Leaf quality was tested by silkworm rearing for two silkworm rearing seasons (spring and autumn) at Suwon in 2000. Suilppong was recognized to be superior in productivity to control cultivar, Kaeryangppong. The new cultivar, Suilppong, has following agronomic characteristics as compared with Kaeryangnppong, which is leading cultivar widely cultivating in Korea. It is belonging to Morus alba L. with mixed shapes from the ovate to 5 lobated leaf shape, sprouting in spring nearly the same to the Kaeryangppong (Morus alba L.), high leaf yielding of 20% compared to Kaeryangppong (Morus alba L.). It is adaptable to everywhere except the places where cold damage occurs frequently in Korea. Suilppong is recommended to rear silkworms not only in spring but also in autumn besides for young silkworms.

Nutritional Compositions of Three Traditional Actinidia (Actinidia arguta) Cultivars Improved in Korea (국내에서 개량된 3가지 토종 다래 품종의 영양성분 분석)

  • Nutritional compositions of Korean traditional actinidia (Actinidia arguta) cultivars, such as Otumsense, Chiak, and Skinny green, were investigated as high value-added food substances. Among minerals, K content of three cultivars was the highest, and P, Ca, and Na contents were relatively higher than those of other minerals. Contents of essential amino acids were analyzed as follows: Otumsense (198.48 mg/100 g), Chiak (413.50 mg/100 g), and Skinny green (270.07 mg/100 g). Total amino acids of Chiak were the highest among the three cultivars, and major amino acids of the three cultivars were glutamic acid and aspartic acid. Analysis of fatty acids showed that major fatty acids were palmitic acid as a saturated fatted acid and ${\alpha}$-linoleic acid as an unsaturated fatty acid in the three cultivars. Glucose and fructose were major free sugar constituents in the three cultivars. Total free sugar content of Otumsense was relatively higher than others. Finally, niacin and vitamin $B_6$ of Skinny green (1.55 mg/100 g, 1.92 mg/100 g) were the highest among the cultivars. However, ${\beta}$-carotene as a vitamin A precursor ($3.82{\mu}g/100g$) and vitamin C as a natural antioxidant substance (47.18 mg/100 g) of Otumsense cultivar were the highest.

  • Axenic tissue culture of a marine red algae Porphyra yezoensis foma narawaensis was established for the vegetative propagation of tissues as a seed stock and for the development of a low salinity-tolerant cell line. Callus tissues have been induced from the vegetative area of blade away from the hold fast when grown on PES-agar medium. The brownish red fragile callus was maintained under fluorescent light of ca. 2000 lux with 12 : 12 hr L : D at $16^{\circ}C$. Amounts of carbohydrate and protein was determined against the weight of callus. Optimum temperature of the callus growth was $14^{\circ}C\~18^{\circ}C$. Optimun concentration of sodium chloride was $2.0\%$ for the callus growth in PES-agar medium.

  • Stability of yield and yield components in 6 cotton cultivars were evaluated using data from the regional yield trials at two sites from 1987 to 1990. Genotype-environment interactions were analyzed by the modified model of Eberhart and Russell. The results revealed that Mokpo 7, which had many effective number of bearing branches and capsule, was the most stable high yielding variety over a wide range of environmental variations. bearing branches and capsule, was the most stable high yielding variety over a wide range of environmental variations.

Comparison of Growth Characteristics and Yield of Soybean Varieties for Soiling Crop Improvement (풋베기용 대두 개량을 위한 품종의 생육특성 및 수량 비교)

  • This Study was carried out to compare growth characteristics and yield of 10 cultivated soybean varieties, Jinpum I, Jinpum II, Hwanggum, Gumjung I, Gumjung II, Seukryangboot, Jangyup, Gumjungol, Bokwang, Manri for improvement of soiling crop. Plant height of Gumjung I(118cm), Gumjung II(114cm) and Jinpum I(114cm) were taller than other varieties based on dough stage. In total fresh weight and DM yield of Jinpum I, Jinpum II, Gumjung II were the highest of all varieties as 23,841kg, 23,499kg and 22,815kg per hectare, and 5,531kg, 5,173kg and 5,236kg per hectare, respectively. The highest leaf/stem ratio of ten soybean varieties were Manri(2.1), Jinpum I(1.9) and Hwanggum(1.9). Except early matured varieties, Seukryangboot(25.9%) and Gumjungol(25.4%), dry matter percent at dough stage were in the range of 22.0~23.4%. According to plant height, fresh weight, dry matter yield, and leaf/stem ratio, Jinpum I and Gumjung II were proper varieties to improve soiling crop.

The Association of Growth Rate with Body Weight or Shank Length at Birth in Broiler Chickens (육용계의 부하시 체중 혹은 정강이 길이와 성장률과의 상관관계에 관한 연구)

  • The objective of this study was to investigate the association of growth rate with body weight or shank length at birth in broiler chickens. Cobb and Ross breeds were used as experimental stocks and four groups were assigned in each breed; thirteen-male and twelve-female chicks(25 birds) were allocated in each group. The heavier body weight group(HBW) and the lighter body weight group(LBW) were established by birth weight. Whereas, the longer shank length group(LSL) and the shorter shank length group(SSL) were established by shank length at birth. The heavier group chicks in birth weight were significantly(P < 0.05) the longer in shank length at birth. The differences between HBW and LSL or between LBW and SSL in the mean 5-wk body weight of Cobb were not significantly different in each other; however, HBW and LSL were significantly(P < 0.05) heavier than LBW or SSL. Whereas, there were no significant differences in the mean 5-wk body weight of Ross although HBW was heavier by 13.1 g than LBW and LSL was heavier by 68.0 g than SSL. In the mean 5-wk shank length, the LSL of Cobb and Ross was longer by 2.9 mm and 1.3 mm than SSL, respectively; however, the significant(P < 0.05) difference was showed in Cobb only. In both breeds, the differences in the mean 5-wk shank length between HBW and LBW were not great. By the results of correlation analysis, the associations of the overall mean birth weights with the overall mean shank length at birth or the association of the 0~5 wk growth rate with the change of shank length during 0~5 wk showed highly significant(P < 0.01~0.001) in both breeds. The present study suggested that the selection based on birth weight could be at advantage due to easier and more accurate tool in using for the improvement growth rate in broiler chickens because the measurement of shank length takes individually longer and less accurate than the measurement of body weight.
