Qualitative Study on Local College Students' Perception of Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurship Programs: Approach through Hierarchy of Effects Model (지방 대학생들의 창업 및 창업프로그램 인식에 관한 정성적 연구: 효과위계모형을 통한 접근)

  • Along with the government's policy to encourage youth entrepreneurship, each university is making great efforts to promote entrepreneurship, and university entrepreneurship programs can be said to be the most important part of supporting and activating college students' entrepreneurship. In order to increase interest in and participation in entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship programs, it is necessary to take an in-depth look at students' perceptions of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship programs. Therefore, this study used the effectiveness hierarchy model to explore the perceptions of college students at each stage and to identify bottleneck factors that hinder participation in entrepreneurship programs. For this purpose, focus group interviews and in-depth interviews were conducted using samples with different levels of interest and participation in entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship programs, and bottleneck factors at each stage of the effect hierarchy model were presented. The research results complement entrepreneurship research that was focused on quantitative research, and add important practical implications by approaching the study with a particular focus on local university cases.

A Study on the Derivation of Risk Factors in Railway Site for the Improvement of Artificial Intelligence(AI)-Railway Safety System (AI기반 철도안전시스템 개선을 위한 철도현장 위험요소 도출에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to assess the problems of workers at railroad construction sites and suggest ways to ensure worker safety through the analysis of accidents and worker problems at these sites. First, the important worker safety factors in railway construction accidents were categorized into four types through focus group interviews (FGIs). Second, the factors that had the greatest impact on the problems related to railway sites and workers were identified by conducting surveys and interviews. The problems relating to each factor and ways to ensure safety at the railway sites were identified. Thus, it is believed that this study can provide important evidence for securing the safety of railroad workers and establishing an artificial intelligence (AI)-based railway safety system in the future.

A Study on the Digital Informatization Level and Human Relationship Satisfaction Level of Disabled Persons (장애인의 디지털정보화 수준과 대인관계 만족도와의 관계에 대한 연구)

  • This study analyzed the level of digital informatization and the level of human relationship satisfaction in the disabled group. The digital informatization level of the disabled refers to the level of smart access, smart capability, and smart utilization. For the sampling of persons with disabilities, the survey was conducted for persons aged 7 to 69 who were registered under the Welfare for Persons with Disabilities Act. Regression analysis utilized SAS 9.3.s through vitalization of local communities, and information education for the disabled is also important. The analysis results are as follows. First, the higher the digital access level of the disabled, the higher the level of interpersonal satisfaction. Second, the higher the digital information capability level of the disabled, the higher the level of interpersonal satisfaction. Third, the higher the level of digital information utilization of the disabled, the higher the level of interpersonal satisfaction. As a result, the higher the digital information level of the disabled, the higher the satisfaction level in the interpersonal relationship of the disabled. In addition, it was found that careful attention and policy review are needed to resolve the digital information gap of the government for the disabled who are marginalized groups. Therefore, it is necessary to provide the expansion of universal services of the marginalized groups including the disabled. In addition, it is important to form a culture in which the community embraces the marginalized class through vitalization of local communities, and information education for the disabled is also important.

Effect of the Consumer's Perception of the University Foodservice Quality on the Consumer Attitude (대학교 급식소의 급식서비스 품질에 대한 인식이 소비자태도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate the consumer's perception of the subject to manage the foodservice operation in the university, and to analyze the effects of consumer's perception of the university foodservice qualify on intent to revisit and intent to recommend. The questionnaires were distributed to 575 students in the K University located in Masan, who were sampled by proportionate stratified sampling method. The surveys were peformed from May 17 to June 2, 2005. The 566 questionnaires were responded, and 6 unusable questionnaires were excluded, then 560 were used for the final analysis (response rate: 97.4%). For the statistical analysis, SPSS (12.0) was used to conduct the descriptive analysis, factor analysis reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study were as follows: First 254 respondants (47.3%) did not know that their foodservice operation was managed by contract foodservice company, and 374 students (66.8%) did not know the name of the contract foodservice company which runned their foodservice operation. Second, the food factor of university foodservice quality had a significant positive effect on intent to revisit (P<0.001), and the food factor of university foodservice quality also had a significant positive effect on Intent to recommend (p<0.001). It was concluded that as the food factor of university foodservice qualify Increased, the intent to revisit and the intent to recommend the university foodservice increased. So when university foodservice managers plan the foodservice operation strategy, they should focus on increasing the perception of customers' foodservice quality and also advertising contract foodservice company's brand name.

A Study on the Differences in Environmental Perceptions of the Interest Groups in the Protected Areas: Focused on Seoraksan National Park (보호지역 이해집단간 환경의식 차이에 관한 연구 -설악산 국립공원을 중심으로-)

  • This study, as a case where the environmental conflict and dispute arose between the use and the conservation as in the other protected areas in Korea, took the first step to build ecological citizenship to solve various and complicated issues in a fundamental level by providing a basic information on differentiated environmental perceptions of the locality and the visitors of Seoraksan National Park. The questionnaire survey was employed on September 6th and 7th with 150 residents of the park area and 200 visitors of Osaek-Daechungbong trail. Total number of 13 survey questions was introduced using Dunlap and Liere's NEP index. The result shows that the perception of 'balance of nature' was more dominant to the perception of 'humans over nature' and the perception to the 'limits to growth' was also somewhat positive in both groups. The differences in environmental perceptions between the groups exist; the visitor group tended to have more positive level of acceptance of NEP views. Such differences in perceptions suggest that a different normative approach should be taken to the residents of the national park with less pro-environment in their perceptions when policy making. It thus seemed possible that ecological citizenship could be realized since the younger and the higher education level are, the more pro-environment. The findings of the research may cause some concerns however, because the study has been confined as a case study with basic understanding of environmental perceptions and its differences between the interest groups. More extensive research is required to confirm if this is generalized.
