환원분위기하에서의 석탄회 세슘포집재의 고온 안정성 분석

  • 석탄화력발전소 폐기물인 석탄회로 포집한 세슘의 환원분위기(He+4% H$_2$)하에서 고온안정성 분석을 위하여 몰비를 0.1에서 1.5까지 변화시켜 제조한 시료를 머플로에서 열처리 및 XRD로 분석하였다 Cs/Al의 몰비가 증가할 수록 세슘 포집량이 증가하였다. 세슘 포집량 0.48(g-Cs$_2$O/g-fly ash) 이상에서 부터 pollucite 상 이외에 CsAlSiO$_4$상이 나타나기 시작하였고 세슘 포집량이 증가할 수록 CsAlSiO$_4$ 상이 증가하였다. 세슘 포집량 0.15(g-Cs$_2$O/g-fly ash) 까지 세슘의 휘발로 인한 무게감량은 없었고, 포집량 0.32(g-Cs$_2$O/g-fly ash)부터는 포집량이 증가할 수록 무게감량이 증가하였다. 이는 세슘 포집량이 증가할 수록 세슘 증기압이 큰 CsAlSiO$_4$상이 증가하기 때문인 것으로 사료된다.

  • Estimating of LFG emission rate has been well established. But, relatively short history of LFG extraction in Korea, the data and the formular have not been well compared and analyzed. Here, even though the operation period of extraction for Daegu Bangcheon-ri is short, the relevant correlation between estimated and the actual has been tried to find. Hopefully, this will be a guideline for the future LFG forecasting.

  • It is important to determine the exact soot mass in a DPF system in order to control the timing of PM regeneration. The soot mass accumulated in a filter can be estimated from the pressure drop in the filter and the exhaust gas flow rates. In this study, the soot index is defined as the pressure drop in the DPF divided by the pressure drop in a DOC. An effective signal processing method for determining the soot index is proposed; the results yielded by this method indicate good correlation between the soot index and the amount of soot loaded into the filter for both steady-state and transient-state operating conditions in a 3L diesel engine for passenger vehicles.

Effect of Shape and Temperature on Condensation of Water in a Small Domestic Composter (가정용 소형 퇴비화 용기의 형태 및 온도가 응축수량에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was performed to investigate the amount of water condensation and energy consumption in a small composter. The heights of composter (10 cm, 15 cm, 20 cm), horizontal angles of lid ($40^{\circ}$ , $50^{\circ}$ , $60^{\circ}$ ) and operating temperatures ($75^{\circ}C$, $85^{\circ}C$, $95^{\circ}C$) as the parameters were changed to optimize the shape and operating temperature. The compostable food wastes were added into the composter at the rate of 1 kg/day without additives. The results are as follows; Condensation of food waste increased with temperature, but no trends were observed in related with the height and the horizontal angle of the container. The amount of condensated water decreased with increasing of the horizontal angle up to the height 10 cm of the composter. In the composter with the height of 15 cm, the amount of condensated water decreased in order of $95^{\circ}C$, $75^{\circ}C$ and $85^{\circ}C$. The higher the temperature increased, the more energy consumption increased.

A Case Study on CO2 Uptake of Concrete owing to Carbonation (콘크리트 탄산화에 의한 CO2 포집량 평가의 사례연구)

  • The present study assessed the amount of $CO_2$ uptake owing to concrete carbonation through a case study for an apartment building with a principal wall system and an office building with Rahmen system under different exposed environments during use phase and recycling application. The $CO_2$ uptake assessment owing to concrete carbonation followed the procedure established by Yang et al. As input data necessary for the case study, actual surveys conducted in 2012 in Korea, which included data about the climate environments, $CO_2$ concentration, lifecycle inventory database, life expectancy of structures, and recycling activity scenario, were used. From the comparisons with the $CO_2$ emissions from concrete production, the $CO_2$ uptake during the lifetime of structures was estimated to be 5.5~5.7% and that during recycling activity after demolition was 10~12%; as a result, the amount of $CO_2$ uptake owing to concrete carbonation can be estimated to be 15.5~17% of the $CO_2$ emissions from concrete production, which roughly corresponds to 18-21% of the $CO_2$emissions from cement production as well.

Characteristics of Carbon Capture by the Accelerated Carbonation Method of Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion Ash (순환 유동층 보일러 애시의 촉진탄산화에 의한 탄소포집 특성)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the carbon capture capacity of various inorganic materials. For this purpose, the change in property of ordinary Portland cement (OPC), blast furnace slag fine powder (GGBS), and circulating fluidized bed boiler ash (CFBC) due to carbonation were analyzed. Carbonation curing was performed on all specimens through the accelerated carbonation experiment, and the amount of carbon capture was quantitatively analyzed by thermogravimetric analysis according to the age of carbonation. From the results, it is confirmed that the carbon capture capacity was shown in all specimens. The carbon capture amount was shown in the order of CFBC, OPC, and GGBS. The 28-day carbon capture of CFBC, OPC, and GGBS was 3.9%, 1.3%, and 9.4%, respectively. Carbon capture reaction occurred rapidly at the beginning of carbonation, and occurred slowly with increasing age. SEM image analysis revealed that an additional product generated by carbonation curing in all specimens was calcium carbonate.

This system displays information generated from the engine to the driver in real time such as engine intake and exhaust temperature, current battery voltage, tire pressure, RPM, DPF collection amount, torque, and horsepower through the OBD2 socket. You can check immediately. It can help you to drive safely by measuring tire pressure and displaying it on the screen, and it provides a mode to set the shift timing to suit your taste. In particular, in the case of diesel engine cars, the problems caused by smoke can adversely affect the performance and environmental pollution. Therefore, the system was developed to display the DPF collection amount on the system screen to prevent environmental pollution and to manage the vehicle efficiently.
