  • Experimental Post-Tensioned Concrete Pavement(PTCP) was constructed on October 13, 2008 for the first time in Korea. The length of PTCP main slab is 120m and the slab thickness is 15cm, while the width is 8.2m. From this study, design, analysis, and construction for PTCP are experienced and many data were obtained. The primary results of this study was also summarized.

Autonomic Responses of Passenger caused by Rough of Roads (도로표면의 기복에 따른 자동차 탑승자의 자율신경계 반응)

  • 본 연구는 도로표면의 기복 또는 굴곡의 변화가 자동차 탑승자에게 미치는 자율신경계의 반응을 관찰하고자 하였다. 아스팔트, 시멘트, 비포장도로를 각각 30 km/h의 속력으로 정속 주행하면서 ECG, GSR, Skin Temperature 의 생리변화를 3분간 측정하였고, 주행 후에는 각각의 도로 주행시 느꼈던 감성의 변화를 주관적 평가지로 검정하였다. 건강한 5명의 지원자가 이 실험에 참여하였고 도로표면의 기복의 변화로부터 유발되는 감성에만 집중하도록 요구하여 다른 간섭효과로부터 유발되는 감성의 변화를 최소화하도록 하였다. 정차에 비해 각 도로 주행시 피험자는 아스팔트, 시멘트, 비포장도로 순서로 불쾌도와 긴장도가 증가하였다고 주관적 평가를 하였다. 또한 아스팔트, 시멘트, 비포장도로 순서로 평균 R-R 간격이 점차 감소하였고, GSR의 진폭은 증가하였으며, 피부온도는 감소하였다. 본 연구로부터 도로표면의 기복의 정도가 증가할수록 교감신경계가 활성화된다는 사실을 관찰할 수 있었고 이러한 결과는 주관적 평가결과와도 일치하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 폐금속광산의 대표적인 폐기물 중 상동광산광미를 안정화, 고형화 및 감량화 시키기 위한 일환으로 광미를 실용적인 흙도로 포장재료로 사용하기 위한 모르타르 실험을 실시하였다. 모르타르에 사용된 고화제는 시멘트계 고화제를 사용하였으며, 상동광미는 대상 흙에 대하여 10% 중량비 치환한 경우 강도증진 효과가 있었다 따라서 상동광미를 흙도로용 포장재료로 사용할 수 있는 가능성을 얻을 수 있었다.

  • 식품제조 현장에서 유연포장을 수행하기 위해, 로봇이 다양한 제품들을 파지하거나 이송하는 작업이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 전통장류 식품제조에서 다양한 종류와 무게를 조합하는 혼합포장을 위해 전통장류 물체 영역 인식과 종류 인식을 수행한다. 이를 위하여, 대표적인 전통장류에 대해 종류를 분류하고, RGB-D 데이터를 입력으로 물체 영역과 종류 인식을 수행하는 딥러닝 네트워크를 학습한다. 실험 결과를 통해, 물체 영역의 중심점을 기반으로 흡착 기반 파지점을 선정할 수 있음을 확인한다.

Effect of Alfalfa Extract, It's Concentration and Absorbents on Germination and Growth of Alfalfa (알팔파 추출물, 추출농도 및 흡착제 처리가 알팔파 발아와 생육에 미치는 영향)

  • Crude aqueous extracts from dried leaves, stems, roots, and flowers from both field grown and greenhouse grown alfalfa plants inhibited alfalfa seed germination and seedling growth. The degree of inhibition was greater in the field grown plant extracts. Flowers extract of field grown plant most inhibited alfalfa germination and seedling growth. In the concentration study, the highest concentration of extract (9.0%, w/v) significantly inhibited total alfalfa seed germination by 50% as compared to control. In partitioning study using pot hydroponic culture of plant biomass into leaves, stems, root, LAR products of LWR and SLA exhibited significant variation among four species. This result support that the inhibitory effect of autotoxic substances presenting in alfalfa tissue may be possible interference with the patitioning of biomass into leaf component relative to the total biomass produced by the alfalfa plant. Toxicity of extract was not reduced by adding activated charcoal, Dowex-50W, amberlite to the extract. Toxic substances existing in most plant tissues but mainly above ground foliage are water soluble and stable and may persist in old alfalfa fields. Thus, it is recommended to remove as much as possible of the above growth parts, especially vegetative stage, before one tries to re-establish alfalfa in former field of alfalfa.

  • Asphalt pavement accounts for more than 90% of the total pavement in Korea. Pavement is most widely constructed among construction structures. The heat transfer characteristics (Thermophysical Properties) of the asphalt pavement cause the heat island effect in downtown areas. An increasing asphalt surface temperature is one of the major causes of damage to asphalt pavement. This study examined the heat transfer characteristic factors according to solar energy accumulation in an asphalt mixture. The specimens (WC-2 & PA-13, Recycled aggregate used WC-2) used in the experiment were compacted with a Gyratory Compactor. The thermo-physical properties (thermal conductivity, specific heat capacity, thermal diffusivity, and thermal emissivity) and solar energy accumulation were evaluated. The thermal accumulation and HFM tests revealed a 1.2- to 2.0-fold difference. This indicates that the thermal conductivity of the asphalt mixture pavement changes with the accumulation of solar energy. An analysis of the correlation of thermal conductivity according to the surface temperature of the asphalt mixture showed that WC-2 was logarithmic, and PA-13 was linear. Experiments on the heat transfer characteristics of asphalt pavement that can be used for thermal failure modeling of asphalt were conducted.

A Study on Normal Range of Surface Deflection for Epoxy Asphalt Pavement using Light Weight Deflectormeter (LWD를 활용한 에폭시 아스팔트 포장의 정상 표면처짐 범위 연구)

  • In this study, the resilient modulus test and Light Weight Deflectormeter (LWD) test were conducted to simulate the moving vehicle load for the evaluation of the internal failure of epoxy asphalt pavement. The Measured displacement in the resilient modulus test of epoxy asphalt concrete showed very little residual deformation under repeated loads unlike the conventional asphalt. Therefore, the test results were evaluated as a normal state due to its similarity with elastic deformation. The deflection results from the resilient modulus tests were converted to the surface deflection modulus and the normal range of surface deflection modulus was estimated applying LWD measurement of 1 SIGMA level. Internal failure of pavements were estimated using the suspicious failure range at $60^{\circ}C$ and hysteresis. Internal moisture penetration and a decrease in bonding were observed in partial areas at $140{\mu}m$ of surface deflection. However, the areas showed inflection points in the hysteresis. Field investigation by suggested criterion indicated a high degree of accuracy.

Degradation and Residue of Fujione and Ortran in Korean Rice Paddy System (수도용 농약후치왕, 오트란의 작물 및 토양에서의 잔류와 분해)

  • Residues of Fujione (Fudiolan, fungicide) and Ortran (Acephate, insecticide) in Korean rice crop were studied. Also the persistencies of the pesticides in rice paddy soil were investigated in field and in laboratory. The residual levels of the pesticides in rice plant, straw, unpolished and polished rice were varied with the application rates of the pesticides. The residues of Fujione and Ortran in unpolished rice were $0.07{\sim}0.09ppm$ and $0.01{\sim}0.53ppm$, respectively. The half life of Fujione was 30 days under aerobic and 150 days under flooded condition in the laboratory system. Whereas in the paddy field it was about 100 days. In the case of Ortran it was $3{\sim}4$ days and $13{\sim}14$ days in aerobic and flooded condition, respectively in laboratory system.

Development of Model Equations for Strength Properties with Age in Concrete Pavement (재령에 따른 포장용 콘크리트의 강도특성 예측식 개발)

  • This study was carried out to find reliable relations between various concrete strength properties which are used as input data in concrete pavement design program. Concretes were made from different sources of coarse grained(granite, limestone and sandstone) and fine grained aggregates such as natural sand, washed sand and crushed sand. From strength test results, model equations were obtained based on the relation between strengths. For each coarse grained aggregate, models for compression-flexural strengths, compression-split tensile strengths, compressive strength-modulus and flexural-split tensile strengths with age were obtained. For concrete mixed with gneiss granite aggregates, concrete strengths were obtained from numerical mean values of concrete strengths mixed with fine grained aggregates. In addition models for concrete split tensile strengths and modulus values were provide by averaging numerically the estimated values obtained from the derived relationship and the experimental values. This is due to more scattered values of split tensile strengths and modulus values than other strength properties. Finally criteria for drying shrinkage strain as well as Poisson's ratio for concrete used in pavement were presented for all mixes with differed coarse grained aggregates.

  • This research describes how to predict a model of the tensile strain related to the fatigue cracking performance of several asphalt concrete structures through design of experiments(e.g., Response Surface Methodology) and harmony search(HS) algorithm. The axisymmetric analysis program of finite element method, which is the KICTPAVE, was used to determine the strain level at the interface layer between asphalt layer and lean concrete layer. Once the training database set of various strain levels was constructed under the several condition of layer stiffnesses and thicknesses in the asphalt concrete structures, the data set was trained through the HS algorithm in order to determine the regression coefficients defined based on a response surface methodology. Furthermore, the testing set, which was not used for the training procedure of HS algorithm, was also constructed in order to evaluate whether the regression coefficients of a prediction model can be appropriately applied for other cases in asphalt concrete structures.
