Domain observation for iron whiskers with magnetic garnet film and its appliction (자기 garnet film을 이용한 철단결정의 자구관측법과 응용)

  • 자성물질의 자구를 관측하고, 표면의 자기전하를 측정하는 간단하면서도 정량적인 방법을 제시하였다. 관측방법은 자기 garnet film을 사용하며, 이 방법을 이용하여 {100} 철단결정 표면의 자구를 관측할 수 있었다. garnet film의 자구는 garnet 면과 수직한 자기장에 의해서만 변하고 임계 자기장에서는 사라진다. 그러나, 철단결정의 자구는 단결정 표면에 평행하게 걸어준 자기장에 대하여서는 영향을 받지만 수직하게 가한 자 기장에는 아무런 영향을 받지 않는다. 위와 같이 성질을 이용하여 철단결정과 평행한 자기장을 가할 때 철단결정의 자구에 유도된 전하에 인하여 garnet film의 자구가 변화하며, 이 garnet film의 자구는 편광된 빛을 이용하여 직접 관측할 수 있다. 이 방법으로 철단결정의 표면에 유도 되는 자기전하 분포를 측정할 수 있었고, 또한 단결정에 걸어준 전류가 변할때 단결정 자구의 움직임을 관측할 수 있었다. 이 관측한 결과 를 이용하여 철단결정에 전류를 가할 때의 비대칭적으로 유도되는 교류 자기감수율 실험의 결과를 설명할 수 있었다.

Numerical Investigation of the Flow Pulsation in the Gap connecting with Two Parallel Rectangular Channels with Different Cross-section Areas (크기가 다른 단면을 가진 평행한 사각 유로를 연결하는 협소유로의 맥동유동에 관한 수치해석)

  • Flow pulsation in the gap connecting with two parallel channels is investigated by RANS and URANS approaches. The two parallel channels are connected by a small channel called for a gap. The parallel channels are designed to have different cross section area with its ratio of 0.5. Computations are conducted using a CFX 11.0 code. The bulk Reynolds number is 60,000. Predicted results are compared with the previous experimental data. Mean velocity profile at the center of gap region are compared with experiments for its validation. Spectral analysis on the lateral velocity in the center of the gap was performed. Auto correlation for the axial-flow velocity pattern was presented. The unsteady structure of the flow pulsation was visualized in the region of the gap in the parallel channel.

전력 공급 방식에 따른 유도 결합 플라즈마 특성 변화 연구

  • 공정용 유도 결합 플라즈마에서 강자성체 페라이트를 이용하여 평형전력 공급 변압기를 사용하여 안정적인 고밀도 플라즈마 발생원 개발에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 실험에서는2개의 평형전력 공급 변압기를 이중 구조 안테나에 설치하였다. 20-100 mTorr 압력 범위의 아르곤 기체에 30-150 W범위의 전력을 인가하여 반응용기의 중앙에서 부유 탐침법을 이용하여 플라즈마 밀도와 전자 온도를 측정하였다. 동일한 압력과 전력이 인가되었을 때, 평형전력 공급 변압기의 연결 유무에 따른 플라즈마 밀도를 비교하였으며, 본 연구에서 제시한 플라즈마 발생원에서의 플라즈마 밀도가 더욱 높음을 보였다. 또한 전자 온도와 부유 전위는 평행전력 공급방식을 이용한 플라즈마 발생원이 상대적으로 낮은 값을 가졌다. 이는 플라즈마 전위의 감소를 나타내며, 챔버 벽으로 빠져나가는 이온과 전자의 손실이 줄어들었음을 알 수 있다.

  • Turbulent flow characteristics on the gap of two parallel channels are investigated using LES(large eddy simulation) approach. Two parallel channels have the same cross-section area and are connected by the narrow channel named the gap. Turbulent flow near the gap makes the flow pulsation along the streamwise direction of two channels. The flow condition is the Reynolds number of $2.5{\times}10^{-5}$. We compared the predicted results with the previous experimental results and presented the axial mean velocity, turbulent intensities, Reynolds shear stresses and turbulent kinetic energy.

  • Unlike an international combustion engine car, a battery-powered electric vehicle requires an additional heat source for its heating system. A high-voltage coolant heater has the advantages of high efficiency and a wide operating temperature range. In its development, the geometry design of the coolant flow path is essential. This paper presents the thermal flow simulations of a 7kW high-voltage heater with symmetric serpentine flow channels arranged parallelly. The heater performance was evaluated from the simulation results in terms of the pressure and temperature differences and the flow uniformity. The proposed design showed a greater flow resistance and similar heat exchanging capability than the existing parallel serpentine design. It has the advantage of a relatively wide low-temperature surface area, where the control circuit board susceptible to high temperatures can be located.

  • The PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) with liquid crystal tracers is used for visualizing and analysis of the mixed convection in the parallel plates with the upper part cooled and the lower part heated. It is found that the flow pattern of mixed convection in the parallel plates can be classified into three patterns which was affected by Reynolds number. Also, the periodic nature is confirmed, and visualized in experiment.

  • 고전적 동수압유체윤활이론은 유막 내의 점성을 일정하다고 가정한다. 유막의 전개방향이나 유막두께방향으로의 온도변화를 결정하는 데 이론적으로나 실험적으로 어려움이 있으므로 이 간소화는 베어링설계에 널리 사용되었다. 그러나 많은 실험적 관찰은 등점성 동수압유체윤활이론은 유막내의 온도상승이나 하중지지용량의 감소를 설명하지 못함을 입증하였다. Fogg는 평행한 추력베어링이 하중을 지지할 수 있음을 발견하였으며 이 fogg의 효과는 동수압 유체윤활이론의 예측과 반대되는 것이고 Thermal wedge라는 개념으로 설명되었다. Hunter와 Zienkiewicz는 유막내에서의 에너지 균형에 관한 이론적 연구를 소개하였고, 온도효과와 이로 인한 유막두께 방향의 점도 변화는 무시될 수 없다는 결론을 내렸다. 본 해석에서는 압력분포를 근사해법으로 구하여, 선지지되는 2차원 틸팅패드 트러스트베어링에서 패드의 탄성 변형을 고려한 열유체윤활해석과 고려하지 않은 얼유체윤활 해석의 결과를 서로 비교함으로서 패드의 변형이 유막의 압력장과 온도장에 미치는 영향과 패드두께의 변화가 유막의 온도장과 압력장에 미치는 영향을 고찰하고자 한다.

  • Impedance or admittance inverter is a conceptual 2-port device frequently used in microwave filter design. In this paper, the equivalent circuit using inverter for general loss less 2-port circuit is presented. Our equivalent circuit can be directly and easily represented with z- or y-parameters compared with the conventional methods. Based on the representation, the derived results for various coupled lines such as parallel coupled line and anti-parallel coupled lines are compared ours. In addition, the results of other workers for improvement of the distortion in frequency response of microstrip coupled line filter are derived using our representation and compared. The proposed equivalent circuit shows the difference with conventional equivalent circuit so the conventional design method can not be applied to parallel coupled line filter with our representation. So in this paper the novel design method is proposed and we showed the method yields more accurate design results.

  • Digital Elevation Model (DEM) generation from remotely sensed imagery is crucial for a variety of mapping applications such as ortho-photo generation, city modeling. High resolution imaging satellites such as SPOT-5, IKONOS, QUICK-BIRD, ORBVIEW constitute an excellent source for efficient and economic generation of DEM data. However, prerequisite knowledge in the areas of sensor modeling, epipolar resampling, and image matching is required to generate DEM from these high resolution satellite imagery. From the above requirements, epipolar resampling emerges as the most important factors. Research attempts in this area are still in high demand and short supply. Another cause that adds to the complication of the problem is that most studies of DEM generation from IKONOS scenes have been based on rational function model. In this paper, we proposed a new methodology for DEM generation from satellite scenes using parallel projection model which is sensor independent, makes it possible for sensor modeling and epipolar resampling by only few control points. The performance and feasibility of the developed methodology is evaluated through real dataset captured by IKONOS.
