La substituted perovskite $BiFeO_3$ have been prepared by a sol-gel method. Magnetic and structural properties of the powders were characterized with Mossbauer spectroscopy, XRD, SEM, and TG-DTA. The crystal structure is found to be a rhombohedrally distorted perovskite structure with the lattice constant $\alpha=3.985{\AA}\;and\;\alpha=89.5^{\circ}.\;Bi_{2/3}La_{1/3}FeO_3$ powders that were annealed at and above $600^{\circ}C$ have a single-phase perovskite structure. However, powders annealed at $900^{\circ}C$ have a typical perovskite structure with small amount of $Bi_2O_3$ phase. The Neel temperature of $Bi_{2/3}La_{1/3}FeO_3$ is found to be $680\pm3K$. The isomer shift value at room temperature is found to be 0.27 mm/s relative to the Fe metal, which is consistent with high-spin $Fe^{3+}$ charge states. Debye temperature far$Bi_{2/3}La_{1/3}FeO_3$ is found to be $305\pm5K$. The average hyperfine field $H_{hf}(T)$ of the $Bi_{2/3}La_{1/3}FeO_3$, shows a temperature dependence of $[H_{hf}(T)-H_{hf}(0)]/H_{hf}(0)=-0.42(T/T_N)^{3/2}-0.13(T/T_N)^{5/2}$ for $T/T_N<0.7$ indicative of spin-wave excitation.

The stationary Markov chain model has been widely used as a daily rainfall simulation model. A main assumption of the stationary Markov model is that statistical characteristics do not change over time and do not have any trends. In other words, the stationary Markov chain model for daily rainfall simulation essentially can not incorporate any changes in mean or variance into the model. Here we develop a Non-stationary hidden Markov chain model (NHMM) based stochastic downscaling scheme for simulating the daily rainfall sequences, using general circulation models (GCMs) as inputs. It has been acknowledged that GCMs perform well with respect to annual and seasonal variation at large spatial scale and they stand as one of the primary sources for obtaining forecasts. The proposed model is applied to daily rainfall series at three stations in Nakdong watershed. The model showed a better performance in reproducing most of the statistics associated with daily and seasonal rainfall. In particular, the proposed model provided a significant improvement in reproducing the extremes. It was confirmed that the proposed model could be used as a downscaling model for the purpose of generating plausible daily rainfall scenarios if elaborate GCM forecasts can used as a predictor. Also, the proposed NHMM model can be applied to climate change studies if GCM based climate change scenarios are used as inputs.
As rapid development of computing environment, field of automatic identification research which interoperates with various physical objects and digital information is making active progress. Although the automatic identification system is widely used in various industries, application of automatic identification system in the field of medical health doesn't reach other industry. Therefore research in medical health supplies such as medical equipment, blood, human tissues and etc is on progress. This paper suggests the application of automatic identification technology for biological resources which is core research material in human genome research. First of all, user environment requirements for the introduction of automatic identification technology are defined and through the experiments and research, barcode is selected as a suitable tag interface. Data Matrix which is 2D barcode symbology is chosen and data schema is designed based on UCC/EAN-128 for international defecto standard. To showapplicability of proposed method when applied to actual environment, we developed, tested and evaluated application as following methods. Experiments of barcode read time at 196 and 75 below zero which is actual temperature where biological resources are preserved resulted read speed of average of 1.6 second and the data schema satisfies requirements for the biological resources application. Therefore suggested method can provide data reliability as well as rapid input of data in biological resources information processing.
Display technology has recently made enormous progress. In particular, display companies are competing each other to develop flexible display. Curved display, as a precursor of flexible display, are now used for smart phones and TVs. Curved monitors have been just introduced in the market, and are used for office work or entertainment. The aim of the current study was to investigate whether the curvature of a 42" multi-monitor affects postural control when it is used for entertainment purpose. The current study used two curvature levels (flat and 600mm). Ten college students [mean(SD) age = 20.9 (1.5)] with at least 20/25 visual acuity, and without color blindness and musculoskeletal disorders participated in this study. In a typical VDT environment, each participant played a car racing video game using a steering wheel and pedals for 30 minutes at each curvature level. During the video game, a pressure mat on the seat pan measured the participant's COP (Center of Pressure), and from which four measures (Mean Velocity, Median Power Frequency, Root-Mean-Square Distance, and 95% Confidence Ellipse Area) were derived. A larger AP (Anterior-Posterior) RMS distance was observed in the flat condition, indicating more forward-backward upper body movements. It can be partly due to more variability in visual distance across display, and hence longer ocular accommodation time in the case of the flat display. In addition, a different level of presence or attention between two curvature conditions can lead to such a difference. Any potential effect of such a behavioral change by display curvature on musculoskeletal disorders should be further investigated.
There is the temporal correlation of the video sequence between the motion vector of current block and the motion vector of the previous block. If we can obtain useful and enough information from the motion vector of the same coordinate block of the previous frame, the total number of search points used to find the motion vector of the current block may be reduced significantly. In this paper, we propose the block-matching motion estimation using an adaptive initial search point by the predicted motion information from the same block of the previous frame. And the first search point of the proposed algorithm is moved an initial point on the location of being possibility and the searching process after moving the first search point is processed according to the fast search pattern. Simulation results show that PSNR(Peak-to-Signal Noise Ratio) values are improved UP to the 1.05dB as depend on the image sequences and improved about 0.33~0.37dB on an average. Search times are reduced about 29~97% than the other fast search algorithms. Simulation results also show that the performance of the proposed scheme gives better subjective picture quality than the other fast search algorithms and is closer to that of the FS(Full Search) algorithm.

Linustatin and neolinustatin in flaxseed are called cyanogenic glucosides which produce acetone, hydrogen cyanide (HCN) and sugar when hydrolyzed. The HCN is the chemical whose toxin is being issued in food safety. Linustatin and neolinustatin were found in flaxseed by 206.5 and 174.2 mg/100 g, respectively using a RI-HPLC and LC/MSn analysis of $80\%$ methanol extraction. Also, HCN (137.38 mg/kg) was found in flaxseed distillate by autohydrolysis and IC analysis. More than 85$\%$ of linustatin, neolinustatin and HCN were removed when flaxseed was heated for more than 2 hours in $200^{\circ}C$. Especially, HCN was decreased to $98\%$ by heating only 30 min in $200^{\circ}C$.
In Distributed Video Coding(DVC), a low complexity encoder can be realized by shifting complex processes of encoder such as motion estimation to decoder. Since not only motion estimation/compensation processes but also channel decoding process needs to be performed at DVC decoder, the complexity of a decoder is significantly increased in consequence. Therefore, various fast channel decoding methods are proposed for the most computationally complex part, which is the channel decoding process in DVC decoding. As the channel decoding process becomes faster using various methods, however, the complexity of the other processes are relatively highlighted. For instance, the complexity of side information generation process in the DVC decoder is relatively increased. In this paper, therefore, a fast method for the DVC decoding is proposed by using adaptive search range method in side information generation process. Experimental results show that the proposed method achieves time saving of about 63% in side information generation process, while its rate distortion performance is degraded only by about 0.17% in BDBR.
Energy transfer by free convection arises in many engineering applications, such as a hot steam radiator for heating a room, refrigeration coils, electric transformers, heating elements and electronic equipments. Generally unsteady natural convection flow in a horizontal channel with arbitrary wall temperatures and the mathematical and physical basis of convection transport has been considered in general. A physically meaningful exact solution of the problem has been obtained in a closed form by the application of the standard finite sine transform technique. Influences of the governing parameters, the Prandtl number and the Rayleigh number, to bring the flow and heat transfer to final steady states have been discussed separately. For constant values of the arbitray wall temperatures and of the function, determining the average axial velocity, the final steady state is approached in different times respectively for the cases when the Prandtl number Pr>1 and Pr<1. It is also seen that the function, representing the axial temperature gradient, is influenced by none of the governing parameters : but the steady state flow is influenced only by the Rayleigh number. There are, of course, many applications. Free convection strongly influences heat transfer from pipes and transmission lines, as well as from various electronic devices. It is also relevant to the environmental sciences, where it is responsible for oceanic and atmospheric motions, as well as related heat transfer processes.
This paper was considered on the applicability of EFDC KUNSAN_SEDTRAN MODEL (2012) to calculate Gunsan Port sediment deposition height efficiently and to use for grasping its aspects quantitatively and providing its prevention measures reasonably based on well-known 3-dimensional EFDC sediment transport module. This model was calibrated and verified with various measured field data of A Report of Hydrological Variation on Kum River Estuary (2004). Due to the model calibration and relevant literature investigation for cohesive sediment parameters, settling velocity (WS), critical deposition stress (TD), reference surface erosion rate (RSE), critical erosion stress (TE) were identified as 2.2E-04m/s, 0.20 $N/m^2$, 0.003 $g/s{\cdot}m^2$, 0.40 $N/m^2$ respectivly on this model. In order to examine the applicability and precision of the model computation, the calculated model data of sediment deposition height at 13 stations for 71 days and suspended-sediment concentration at 2 stations, inner port and outer port for 15 days were compared and analyzed with the measured field data. As a result, the model applicability for sediment deposition height simulation was evaluated as NSE coefficient 0.86 and the precision for suspended-sediment concentration computation was evaluated as time averaged relative error (RE) 23%.
Recently, traffic congestion has become serious due to increase of private car usages. Carsharing or other innovative public transportation systems were developed to alleviate traffic congestion and carbon emissions. These measures can make the traffic environment more comfortable, and efficient. Cloud Transportation System (CTS) is a recent carsharing model. User can rent an electronic vehicles with various traffic information through the CTS. In this study, a concept, vision and scenarios of CTS are introduced. And, authors analyzed the location of CTS rental stations and estimated CTS demands. Firstly, we analyze the number of the population, employees, students and traffic volume in study areas. Secondly, the frequency and utilization time are examined. Demand for CTS in each traffic zone was estimated. Lastly, the CTS rental station location is determined based on the analyzed data of the study areas. Evaluation standard of the determined location includes accessibility and density of population. And, the number of vehicles and that of parking zone at the rental station are estimated. The result suggests that Haewoondae Square parking lot would be assigned 11 vehicles and 14.23 parking spaces and that Dongbac parking lot be assigned 7.9 vehicles and 10.29 parking spaces. Further study requires additional real-time data for CTS to increase accuracy of the demand estimation. And network design would be developed for redistribution of vehicles.
