  • Electrical resistivity prospecting has been recently increased in the application to tunnel, landslide and other investigations in the civil engineering field. Therefore, it is essential to establish the rock mass classification technique using electrical resistivity data. In this paper, the authors, try to propose a technique which can classify tunnel rock mass using seismic wave velocities derived from electrical resistivity data. In addition, the applicability of the proposed tunnel rock mass classification technique is discussed, by comparing estimated support patterns with actually performed ones.

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 해석적인 수법에서 여러 신뢰도 지표가 주로 수용가의 수와 지형적인 영향만을 고려한 단점을 보완하기 위하여, 어느 특정지역의 수용가가 실제로 정전되는 경우를 상정하여 수용가의 정전비용을 계산하여, 이에 의한 영향을 신뢰도 지표 속에 나타내도록 하였다. 즉, 정전비용에 따른 수용가의 중요도를 고려하기 위하여, 수용가의 정전비용 특성을 이용한 새로운 신뢰도 평가지수를 정의하여, 양적인 면에서 뿐만 아니라 질적인 면에서도 가장 경제적으로 신뢰도를 향상시킬 수 있는 특정 계통이나 지역, 설비 등을 선택할 수 있는 새로운 신뢰도 평가수법을 제안하였다. 또한, 배전계통에 신재생에너지전원(이하 분산형전원)이 도입된 경우를 상정하여 상기의 신뢰도지수를 산정하는 수법을 제안하였으며, 사고구간을 줄이는 리클로우져와 섹셔널라이저의 동작을 포함한 배전계통의 보호협조 시스템도 고려한 신뢰도지수 산정법도 제안하였다.

  • Escape distance and escape barrier are critical elements for the quantitative evaluation of escape safety. Through theoretical demonstration and modeling in precedent studies, they have been analyzed for their generality and applicability. To make more practical evaluation method, we should quantitatively analyze the influence of each barrier and escape condition on escape safety considering various barriers in escaping routes. In this study, to develop more accurate and applicable escape analysis model, we have focused on three research methods as below: First, we derived quantified function to predict various escape barriers in escaping routes by theoretical analyses of the escape barriers and conditions. Second, we substituted the derived quantified function for an evaluation tool of escape safety suggested by precedent studies. Third, we examined applicability and feasibility of the developed method by modeling with the consideration of the escape conditions and barriers.

  • A method for the retardation of fatigue crack growth using ring indentation at the vicinity of a crack is examined. Residual stresses near crack tip are evaluated using fracture mechanics approach using the Bueckner weight function. The motivation is to develop a simple and effective method for obtaining an increase in fatigue lives to total failure of materials with crack. Fatigue testing of aluminum specimen showed that the retardation effects are observed after the application of the method.

A study on the quantitation of asbestos by the visual estimation and point counting method (시야평가법과 포인트계수법에 의한 석면정량평가 연구)

  • While variety of cases of studies about asbestos analysis methods are released internationally, the results of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) according to differences in the method of the analysis is becoming an issue. In this study, homogeneity ensured ACM samples were analyzed by visual estimation method and point counting method, and the result cound be used not only to improve the reliability on asbestos analysis of the institutions and analysts but also to obtain the basic data of Polarizing Light Microscope (PLM) analysis by comparing and evaluating. Asbestos analysis were divided into qualitative and quantitative analysis method. The quantitative analysis was performed by visual estimation method and point counting method (total 400 points) of EPA 600-R-93-116 method by using PLM. Firstly, The following was the result of homogeneity of the samples by ANOVA (Analysis of variance) and the results were satisfied. The results of qualitative analysis showed that the samples were chrysotile and amosite, and about the results of quantitative analysis, asbestos concentration determined by point counting method tend to be lower than concentrations determined by visual estimation method and also, pont counting method was a little more complicated and time-consuming.

  • Recently, with the increase of the interest to global environmental problems, bicycle has been recognized as the most environmentally friendly transportation mode. To promote cycling, it is necessary to ensure road space that bicycle can keep running safely and smoothly. This paper aims to evaluate the district with rearranged road space and network, given priority to bicycle, comparing the traditional district which are given priority to car from viewpoints of environment, safety and accessibility. As evaluation indicators, the carbon dioxide emission on the environment. the number of collision between car and bicycle on safety and an accumulated frequency measure on accessibility were used. As the result, it was clarified that bicycle road measures to create bicycle road by reallocation of road space and form bicycle exclusive network were effective.

A Study on the Korean EFL Learners' Grammatical Knowledge Development under Input-enhanced FFI and Output-enhanced FFI Conditions (입력강화와 출력강화 형태초점교수 상황에서의 한국 EFL 학습자들의 언어형태 지식개발에 관한 연구)

  • This study explores the effects of different Focus-on-Form Instruction (FFI) on improving learners' grammatical knowledge development and observes how the learners apply the knowledge to their output. A total of 112 college students were placed into three groups: 35 input-enhanced group students, who received visually enhanced input reading materials, 41 output-enhanced group students, performing dictogloss tasks, and 46 control group students given traditional grammar instruction. All the participant students took pre/post grammatical tests and completed pre/post writing tasks, which aimed to look into how the target grammatical structures were used in writing. The research findings indicated that both input-enhanced and output-enhanced FFI were effective on learners' language form learning and made contribution to their writing. Based on the findings, this study suggests that the elaborate design of combination of both FFI can maximize learners' language form learning.

  • This study suggests fire, explosion safety assessment items and risk assessment technique for underground shopping malls by extracting dangerous elements in the management stage through examination of related accidents, documents and present conditions. This will also suggest importance of seven items to be key indices for a counterplan by classifying characteristics and trends of the large scale, depth and complexity of underground shopping malls.

  • 주행 시뮬레이터는 여러 가지 주행상황을 탑승자에게 전달하고자 하는 장치이다. 기존의 주행 시뮬레이터에 관한 대부분의 연구는 탑승자의 감성평가에 관해 이루어지지 않았다. 본 논문에서는 탑승자의 감성을 주행 시뮬레이터에 피드백하여 주행 시뮬레이터의 성능을 향상시키고자 한다. 이를 위하여 본 논문에서는 다변량 해석형 수법, 기능 전개형 수법, 가상현실 감성공학 등을 응용하여 동적 시스템에 대한 측정 및 평가방안을 연구하였다. 설정된 목표감성인 운동감에 대한 20여개의 감성어휘 추출과 주행 시뮬레이터에 대한 분석을 통하여 차단주파수를 감성요인으로 정하였다. 감성어휘와 감성요인간의 관계를 평가하기 위하여 감성실험을 수행하였고, 그 측정결과를 통계학적으로 분석하였다.
