  • The purpose of this study is to help implement KISTI knowledge management systems through analysis of ordering which is most important among system characteristics. This study uses Delphi Technique to specialist in science and technology knowledge content area for empirical analysis. The result of this study is as followed First, the most important characteristic is retrieval function in systems. Second knowledge management systems basic characteristics like as retrieval function storage/retention function, accessibility, easy of usa classification function lank high position while additional characteristics like as knowledge linkage, knowledge evaluation, personalization, communication supporting, multimedia supporting lank low position.

  • 이 연구는 완전통합교육을 효과적으로 지원하기 위한 전자멘토링 시스템을 구축 및 사용성을 평가하는데 목적이 있다. 시스템 설계를 위하여 현재 운영되고 있는 국내 외 시스템과 연구들을 분석한 후, 완전통합교육 지원에 적절한 전자멘토링 수행모형을 도출했다. 특히, 설계와 구현에 있어서는 온라인의 수평적 멘토링 구현과 다양한 멘토링 형태의 지원, 상호보완적 관계형성, 그리고 활동에 대한 피드백 제공 등에 역점을 두고 시스템을 구축했다. 개발된 전자멘토링 시스템의 사용성 평가를 위해 운영자 2명, 멘토 5명, 멘티 5명을 선정한 후, '멘토링 지원(인지적 지원, 정서적 지원, 적용가능성)'과 '기술 지원(편의성, 정확성, 심미성)' 등 2가지 영역, 총 10개의 문항을 통해 심층면담을 실시했다. 통합학급 담당교사와 특수학급 담당교사의 사용성 평가 결과, 완전통합교육 지원을 위해 개발된 전자멘토링 시스템은 모든 영역에 걸쳐 상당히 효과적인 것으로 판단할 수 있었다. 향후에는 이 연구결과를 바탕으로 현장에서 장기간 지속적인 적용을 통해 개발된 전자멘토링 시스템의 실질적 효과성을 검증해 보는 연구가 요청된다.

  • In this paper, we present a switched beamforming RFID reader and propose a convenient shopping system using it. The smart gate with the switched beamforming RFID reader(s) improves tag detection probability, tag false alarm probability, automatic detection functionality of shopping system compared to existing RFID based systems. The proposed system consists of a smart gate to read and verify the tags within cart, a check-out counter to approve customer purchase, and a central server to manage inventory & delivery and to analyze customer purchase trend. The proposed shopping system is more practical, convenient, and cost-effective to A/S than existing RFID shopping systems.

  • Authentication and Key Agreement using password provide convenience and amenity, but what human can remember has extremely low entropy. To overcome its defects, AMP(Authentiration and key agreement via Memorable Password) which performs authentication and key agreement securely via low entropy password are presented. AMP uses Diffie-Hellman problem that depends on discrete logarithm problem. Otherwise, this thesis applies elliptic curve cryptosystem to AMP for further efficiency That is, this thesis presents EC-AMP(Elliptic Curve-AMP) protocol based on elliptic curve discrete logarithm problem instead of discrete logarithm problem, and shows its high performance through the implementation. EC-AMP secures against various attacks in the random oracle model just as AMP Thus, we nay supply EC-AMP to the network environment that requires authentication and key agreement to get both convenience and security from elliptic curve discrete logarithm problem.

A Study on the Usability Evaluation and Improvement of Voice Tag Reader for an Visually Impaired Person (시각장애인 대상 음성태그리더기의 사용성 평가 및 개선 방안 연구)

  • This study was conducted for the purpose of improving the usability of the product through the usability evaluation of the voice tag reader to improve the life convenience of the visually impaired. Perceived usability evaluation was conducted for 19 evaluation items based on the evaluation model considering the usability principle and the characteristics of the visually impaired. A total of 50 participants were included for the analysis. As a result of the perceived usability evaluation of the visually impaired, the safety of the voice tag reader, voice and sound quality, and accuracy of voice information were relatively satisfactory. It was found that the reader received a low evaluation in terms of efficiency in use, including the size and weight of the reader, and the convenience of carrying and storing. For the usability improvement, the procedure for using a product needs to be more simplified, and it would be helpful to input and supply tags for commonly used objects in advance.

  • The objective of this paper is to propose the bus information system that provides bus passenger number. Recently, we use a bus conveniently through introduction of bus information system offering location-based information. However, we need additional information for decision making in order to use a bus comfortably. To do this, first, we analyzed the needs of providing passenger number; second, we adopted GPS and RFID type's transportation card to get location and passenger number. Finally, we implemented the system displaying that information by three types, and tested it. Our proposed system has advantages to use a bus comfortably and to manage a bus efficiently by providing bus passenger number which is the important element for decision making as well as location based information provided by existing bus information systems.

  • Application of wind turbine generator system (WTGS) needs researches for performance prediction, pitch control, and optimal operation method. Recently a new type WTGS is developed and under testing. The notable feature of this WTGS is that it consists of two rotor systems positioned horizontally at upwind and downwind locations, and a generator installed vertically inside the tower. In this paper, a nonlinear simulation software developed for the performance prediction of the Dual Rotor WTGS and testing of various control algorithm is introduced. This software is hybrid in the sense that FORTRAN is extensively used for the purpose of computation and Matlab/Simulink provides a user friendly GUI-like environment.

  • In recent rears. web portal system has received much attention as a user interface for the grid environment. Grid system uses symmetric key for authenticating user identity while the traditional portal system does a password-based authentication. Regarding this, many researches are progressing to integrate portal accounts with symmetric key. Specially. researches such as GAMA and PURSE are active and those focus on easy usability for users who familiar with password-based authentication. However the protection of data and resources is a critical issue in Grid environment, because those are shared through a wide-area network. In this paper, we suggest a new authentication mechanism which unify authentication mechanisms between portal system and grid service by using symmetric key. It will improve a security level in UI layer as much as in grid service.

  • Computer center of university or company manages many non fault-tolerant servers and network devices to spare expenses. Because a service fault occurs sometimes by worm virus, system bug etc, we need a technique to detect it for continuing service. This paper introduces design and implementation of the system to observe many heterogeneous services, and web-based interface improving convenience of system manager. A system fault is reported to system managers via email or SMS by introduced service observation system, not service user. Then system managers can recover the system fault by this notification and minimize a fault period.

  • 최근 급증하고 있는 인터넷 전자상거래의 가장 필수적인 부분이 전자지불 시스템이다. 전자적으로 처리되는 지불시스템은 사용자의 익명성 보장, 지불정보의 위조 및 재사용방지 등의 특징을 가지며, 거래 주체들간의 신뢰구축을 위한 상호 인증이 요구된다. 디지털 기술의 발달로 소액의 디지털 상품들이 많이 등장함에 따라 소액 상품만을 결제하기 위한 소액지불 시스템의 필요성이 증대되면서, Millicent, PayWord, MicroMint, MPTP 등의 소액 지불 시스템들이 연구되었으나 아직 효과적으로 사용되지 못하고 있다. 이러한 소액 지불 시스템의 경우에는 소비자가 한 상점에서 연속적인 거래를 수행하는데 따르는 비용을 먼저 생각해야 한다. 그 이유는 소액거래를 하는 대부분의 소비자들은 여러 개의 상품을 연속적으로 구입하는 경향을 가지기 때문이다. 또한 거래 주체간의 대금결제의 편의성을 도모하기위한 선불방식에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 그러나, 기존의 소액 지불 시스템들은 연속거래에 있어 제한적이거나 소비자의 신용을 기반으로 한 후불방식을 채택하고 있어 소비자의 화폐남용에 대한 자원낭비의 문제를 안고있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 Hash Chain을 이용하여 연속거래에 적합한 선불방식의 소액전자지불 시스템을 제안한다.
