  • 본 연구에서는 편심된 강성 강화 부재가 붙어 있는 얇은 판 또는 얇은 셸에 대해 유한 요소 해석을 할 때, 편심된 강성 강화 부재를 개별된 요소로서 정확히 묘사 할 수 있도록, 일반적인 보 이론을 기초로 하여 2개의 절점을 갖고, 각 절점당 6자유 도를 갖는 3차원 편심 보 요소(offset beam element)에 대하여 수식화하여 변위와 응 력을 계산한다.

A Study on the Static Eccentricities of Buildings Designed by Different Design Eccentricities (설계편심의 크기에 따른 비틀림 비정형 건물의 최종 정적편심 크기의 비교에 관한 연구)

  • To reduce the vulnerability of torsional irregular buildings caused by seismic loads, the torsional amplification factor was introduced by the seismic code. This factor has been applied differently in a variety of seismic codes. In this study, the final static eccentricity, and the lateral and torsional stiffness ratios of buildings designed with different design eccentricities were compared. The increment of the torsional amplification factor resulted in a decrement of the final static eccentricity of the building. However, after reaching the maximum value of this factor, the final static eccentricity of the building increased again. The final static eccentricity of the building designed by multiplying the sum of the inherent and accidental eccentricity by the torsional amplification factor was zero or had a minus value, depending to the position of the vertical element.

Design of eccentric forging process for camber bolts using finite element method (유한요소법을 이용한 캠버볼트의 편심단조 공정설계)

  • A new eccentric forging process for camber bolts has been suggested in this study. The camber bolt is manufactured by a two-step process: the typical forging process for normal bolts and the trimming process for the eccentric flange. The processes are performed under high forging load and generate a large amount of chip during trimming. A new forging process has been required in order to overcome these problems. The eccentric forging is the new process in which the load axis is offset from the central axis, as against central load applied in a typical forging process. The eccentric forging process could reduce forging load and save the amount of chip. In order to manufacture camber bolts by an optimum process, it is required to adjust the geometry of eccentric die and the offset from the central axis.

  • Inversitgated in this study are the modal characteristics of the eccentric cylindrical shells with fluid-filled annulus. Theoretical method is developed to find the natural frequencies of the shell using the finite Fourier expansion and their results are compared with those of finite element method to verify the validation of the method developed. The effect of eccentricity on the modal characteristics of the shells is investigated using a finite element modeling.

  • 유도 전동기의 편심 고장은 베어링 손상 등으로 발생되며, 심해질 경우 고정자와 회전자간의 접촉으로 전동기 파괴를 일으킨다. 이를 진단하는 대표적인 방법으로 온라인 전류 스펙트럼 분석법(Motor Current Signature Analysis, MCSA)이 있으나 전동기 정보의 필요, 부하에 영향을 받는 등의 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 유도 전동기의 편심을 오프라인으로 진단하는 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 유도 전동기의 회전자의 위치를 변경하며 고정자 권선으로부터 관측된 임피던스 값으로 편심을 진단한다. 제안된 방법은 온라인 진단 후 정확한 편심 고장 여부를 확인하는데 사용될 수 있으며, 7.5마력 유도전동기의 정적, 동적, 복합 편심에 대한 실험을 통해 증명되었다.

A Study on the Relationship between the Eccentricity and the Level of Damage in the Seismic Response of Buildings with Plan Irregularities (지진 하중을 받는 평면 비정형 건물의 편심과 손상도의 상관관계에 대한 연구)

  • Most previous research on the seismic response of structures with plan irregularities have focused on the relationship between the eccentricity and the amount of torsion. This approach cannot provide the direct relationship between the irregularity and the damage. Therefore, an investigation on the relationship between the eccentricities of buildings with plan irregularities and the damage index was performed. Inelastic dynamic time-history analyses were performed on one-story buildings with various eccentricities. For the damage assessment, a 3D damage index was adopted to reflect the effect of the bi-directional response and torsion. Based on the analysis results, buildings with eccentricities of 10%, 20% and 30% will suffer 3~5%, 13~18%, and 33~47% more damage than their regular counterparts, respectively.

  • The characteristics of involute gear pump with eccentric gap between gear tip and housing have been studied in terms of volumetric flow rate and/or flow efficiency. The analysis has been done with FLUENT/R-13 employing with k-e model for the turbulent flow under the given conditions of rotational velocity, gap distance and outlet pressure. The effect of parameters continues to be shown for the eccentric gear as same as for the concentric gear such that the volumetric flow rate (volumetric efficiency) increases as the increases of rotational velocity and decrease of gap distance and of outlet pressure. In the meantime, the shape of pressure build-up appears to be exponentially increase as gap distance decreases at upstream position. The pressure is rapidly developing in the upstream and remains almost constant thereafter in the downstream of circumferential flow path. This typical characteristics becomes more profound as eccentricity increases. The pump performance for the eccentric gear pump with minimum gap distance shows better than its concentric counterpart. However, it shows not for the concentric pump with minimum gap distance. Therefore, the gap reduction due to eccentricity may be positive for pump performance.

  • Ths paper presents an algorithm of detecting eccentricity signal and diagnosing the cause in rolling process. A designed technique uses only the outputs of load cell and tachorreter, which are generally utilized in rolling process, and need not any acklitional sensors. Detecting signals related to eccentricity is done by combining outputs of 6 digital bandPass filters whose center frequency are varied with roll's rotating frequency. A function of diagnosing the cause of occentricity from extracted data having occentricity components is implemented by defining reasonable variables. In order to show validity of an algorithm designed in this paper, simulation was accomplished for three groups. The first is that some portion of roll in the direction of roll circumference is distorted. The second is that rotating axis and roll center is not identical. The third is that composite cause is occmed Simulation results show that every kind of eccentricity can be diagnosed in terms of algorithm proposed.oposed.

  • 고층구조물의 해석에 사용되는 ETABS와 같은 상용프로그램은 해석의 단순화를 위하여 강막가정을 사용하게 된다. 이와 같은 강막가정은 일반적으로 바닥판의 휨 강성과 보의 편심효과를 무시하게 된다. 이러한 가정은 골조구조물의 정적해석에 대해서는 정당한 결과를 얻을 수 있으나 동적해석의 경우에는 바닥판의 휨 강성과 보의 편심효과가 구조물의 횡 방향 거동에 주요한 영향을 미치게 된다. 그러나 바닥판의 영향과 보의 편심효과를 고려하기 위해서는 유한요소의 특성상 바닥판과 보를 여러 개의 요소로 나누어야 하며, 이로 인하여 해석과 구조물의 모형화에 많은 시간이 소요되는 단점이 발생하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위하여 부분구조기법과 대형요소를 사용한 효율적인 모형화 방법에 대하여 연구하였다. 또한 최종적으로 각 층에 대하여 강막가정을 적용하여 층 당 3개의 자유도만을 고려하는 막대모델을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 모형화기법의 정당성을 검토하기 위하여 구조물의 응답을 비교하였다.

A study of blood disturbance by an eccentric stenosis under pulsatile flow using ultrasound imaging (초음파 영상을 이용한 박동흐름하의 편심협착에 의한 혈류 교란 연구)

  • 혈관의 협착으로 인만 혈류의 교란과 그로 인한 초음파 반향의 영향을 튜브에 편심 협착 (eccentric stenosis)을 부착하고 돼지 혈액을 이용해 실험실에서 연구했다. 상용화된 GE LOGIQ 700 Expert 시스템과 M12L 의 선형 트랜스듀서를 이용해 B-모드 영상을 얻은 후 편심 협착 상류 지점과 하류 지점의 초음파 영상을 비교하여 분석하였다. 분당 20 회와 40 회의 박동율과 혈류속도를 바꿔가며 혈류의 교란에 따른 혈액에서의 초음파 영상을 분석한 결과, 편심 협착으로 인한 혈류의 교란으로 적혈구 응집현상이 달라져 복잡한 초음파 반향 분포가 형성되었다. 비침습적 실시간 초음파 영상은 편심 협착으로 인한 혈류의 교란과 그로 인한 혈액의 적혈구 응집 현상을 이해하고 연구하는데 도움이 된다.
