Design of a Fuzzy Controller for a Line Trace Vehicle (라인 트레이스 차량을 위한 퍼지 제어기의 설계)

  • In this paper, we proposed a fuzzy controller for racing of a line trace vehicle. Sensor values are computed by statuses of line detecting sensors attached to the line trace vehicle and these sensor values are used for fuzzy inference rules of steering angle control to decide steering angle as output. The decided steering angle is also used for fuzzy inference rules of motor speed control to decide motor speed as output. We experimented and analyzed two proposed methods - one is fuzzy control of steering angle only and the other is fuzzy control of both steering angle and motor speed. In the experiment, we verified that the second proposed method was more efficient in racing speed.

  • 브러쉬 없는 직류전동기의 위치제어를 위한 퍼지가변구조제어기를 설계한다. 특히 본 논문에서는 기존의 퍼지제어 기법에서 얻을 수 있는 특징으로부터 하나의 전건부 변수만을 가지는 간단한 퍼지논리제어기의 설계를 기술한다. 가변구조제어는 시스템의 파라메터 변화나 외란에 둔감한 특성을 갖는다. 하지만 리칭페이스에서는 문제가 된다. 이를 개선하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 지수항을 추가한 비선형 슬라이딩면을 구성한다. 그리고 나서 비선형 슬라이딩 면과 슬라이딩 면의 변화율을 입력으로 하는 퍼지 제어기를 설계한다. 이러한 2-입력 퍼지가변구조제어기의 제어 규칙표로부터 하나의 전건부 변수만을 가지는 단일 입력 퍼지가변구조제어기를 설계한다. 이들 제어기의 성능을 입증하기 위하여 시뮬레이션과 실험을 수행한다.

Traffic Signal Control using Fuzzy Reasoning Rule (퍼지 추론 규칙을 이용한 교통 신호 제어)

  • The number of automobiles are continuously increasing in Korea since 1990's and it causes frustrating commuting traffic and holyday traffic. Meanwhile, the obsolete traffic signal control system is still under static control based on the aggregated traffic statistics thus it is not sufficiently adaptive in real world traffic situation that changes in real time. Thus, in this paper, we propose an adaptive signal control system using fuzzy control technology that can react to real time traffic situations. The method computes the priority of signal phases based on the number of waiting automobiles and occupying time on intersection using fuzzy membership functions. The phase with highest priority obtains "proceed" signal. Also, the duration of this "proceed" signal is determined based on the ratio of number of waiting automobiles of given phase and total number of waiting automobiles on intersection. In experiment, we show that the proposed fuzzy control system is better than the static control system for all sorts of traffic congestion situations by simulation.

  • With the increasing of impervious area and shortening of travel time, the risk of flooding in urban area becomes a serious problem in Seoul metropolitan area, and its alternatives are needed. In this study, one of urban flood alternatives, a fuzzy control technique is applied in pumping station to test its drainage capacity of inland inflow, and compared with existing pumping criteria (controled by water level). Three design rainfalls(10, 30, and 50 year) are applied to ILLUDAS model to calculate inflow in detention reservoir. To check the efficiency of fuzzy control, two fuzzy rules are used in the operation of pumping station. In these results, fuzzy control rules, based on the experiences of experts, show applicability in practice and effectiveness in inland flooding prevention.

  • 효율적이고 체계적인 퍼지제어를 위해 조작자의 제어동작을 모델링하거나 공정을 모델링하는 기법이 필요하고, 또한 퍼지 추론시에 조건부의 기여도(contribution factor)의 결정과 동작부의 제어량의 결정이 추론의 결과에 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 추론시 조건부의 기여도와 동작부의 세어량이 퍼지 엔트로피의 개념하에서 수행되는 적응 퍼지 추론시스템을 제시한다. 제시된 시스템은 전방향 신경회로망의 토대위에서 구현되며 주건부의 기여도가 퍼지 엔트로피에 의하여 구해지고, 동작부의 제어량은 확장된 퍼지 엔트로피에 의하여 구해진다. 이를 위한 학습 알고리즘으로는 역전파 알고리즘을 이용하여 조건부의 파라미터의 동정을 하고 동작부 파라미터의 동정에는 국부해에 보다 강인한 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하다. 이러한 모델링 기법을 임펄스 잡음과 가우시안 잡음이 첨가된 영상에 적용하여 본 결과, 영상복원시에 발생되는 여러 가지의 경우에 대한 적응성이 보다 양호하게 유지되었고, 전체영상의 20%의 데이터만으로도 객관적 화질에 있어서 기존의 추론 방법에 비해 향상을 보였다.

  • This paper presents the new design method of fuzzy control system for nonlinear system. Many conventional design methods for fuzzy controller find the control gain for stabilizing fuzzy controller with some mathematical approaches. However, there exist some controllers which are hard to design with mathematical approach. In order to solve these problems, we propose the intelligent design method for fuzzy controller by using genetic algorithm with evolution strategy. The genetic algorithm with evolution strategy finds the control gain by changing the evolution region of chromosome. Finally, an application example of stabilizing a cart-pole typed inverted pendulum system will be given to show the stabilizability of the fuzzy controller.

Setting Method of Competitive Layer using Fuzzy Control Method for Enhanced Counterpropagation Algorithm (Counterpropagation 알고리즘에서 퍼지 제어 기법을 이용한 경쟁층 설정 방법)

  • In this paper, we go one step further in that the number of competitive layers is not determined by experience but can be determined by fuzzy control rules based on input pattern information. In our method, we design a set of membership functions and corresponding rules and used Max-Min reasoning proposed by Mamdani. Also, we use centroid method as a defuzzification. In experiment that has various patterns of English inputs, this new method works beautifully to determine the number of competitive layers and also efficient in overall accuracy as a result.

Design of Excitation Control System of Synchronous Generator on Board Ships (선박용 동기 발전기의 여자 제어시스템 설계)

  • This paper provides experimental results of an excitation control system of the synchronous generator on board ships in accordance with rules of classification society to make sure its performance. The experiment compares and reviews control results between PID control and fuzzy logic control applied to change of loads of the generator in order to make sure to satisfy the rules of classification society. Both of them are written by Labview program. In case of PID Control, this paper firstly adjusts the gains by ultimate sensitive method and the gains is more tuned by engineer's experience. And the fuzzy logic controller uses Mamdani method to make membership function for error between reference voltage and measuring voltage, differential error rate and output voltage. This paper is to make sure the experimental results of the proposed excitation control system applied to actual small synchronous generator with PID control and fuzzy logic written by using Labview program and it is proved on stability and improvement through experiments.

  • 본 논문에서는 비최소위상 시스템으로 표현되는 화력발전소 드럼의 수위제어를 위한 퍼지 제어기를 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 T. Takagi와 M. Sugeno의 퍼지모델을 기반으로 수행된다. 그리고 기존의 PID 및 LQ 제어기법을 적용한 방식과 비교하여 제안된 방법의 개선된 특성을 시뮬레이션 결과로부터 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 추론엔진 (inference engine)내에 퍼지정보 검색부(Fuzzy Information Retrieval part)를 갖는 교통신도 제어 전문가 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는시스템은 다양하고 복잡한 도로 상화을 고려하여 그에 따른 적절한 주기를 각 도로별로 할당함으로써 원활한 교통 흐름을 제어한다. 추론엔진내의 퍼지정보 검색부는 퍼지 삼각 논리곱을 이용하여 도로의 상황을 분석한 후 각 도로에 맞는 가장 적절한 신호주기를 생성한다.
