ATM Connection Admission Control Using Traffic Parameters Compression (트래픽 파라메타 압축을 이용한 ATM 연결수락제어)

  • 본 논문에서는 연결수락 제어시 사용자가 전송하는 트래픽 파라메타(샐 개수의 분산값과 평균값)를 압축하여 망에 신고하는 방법을 제안하고, 압축방법에 의한 연결수락제어의 성능을 분석 비교한다. 트래픽 파라메타 압축방법은 K-means, CL(Competitive Learning), Fuzzy ISODATA,FNC(Fuzzy Neural Clustering)를 사용한다. 제안한 트래픽 파라메타의 압축에 의한 연결수락제어는 퍼지 매핑함수(Fuzzy Mapping Funciton)fp 의해 신고한 트래픽 패턴을 추정하고, 전방향 구조의 신경망을 사용하여 연결의 수락/거절을 결정한다. ON-OFF 트래픽 모델 환경에서 컴퓨터 실험을 통하여 여러 가지 압축방법들을 사용한 연결수락제어의 성능을 Fuzziness 값에 따라 비교하였고, 그 결과 FNC 방법이 우수함을 알 수 있었다. EH한 연결수락제어의 성능을 높히기 위해서 관측 프레임의 셀 분산값이 크면 Fuzziness 값을 작게 선정하고, 작으면 상대적으로 크게 선정해야 함을 알 수 있었다.

Development of Probabilistic-Fuzzy Model for Seismic Hazard Analysis (지진예측을 위한 확률론적퍼지모형의 개발)

  • A probabilistic-Fuzzy model for seismic hazard analysis is developed. The proposed model is able to reproduce both the randomness and the imprecision in conjunction with earthquake occurrences. Results-of this research are (a) membership functions of both peak ground accelerations associated with a given probability of exceedance and probabilities of exceedance associated with a given peak ground acceleration, and (b) characteristic values of membership functions at each location of interest. The proposed probabilistic-fuzzy model for assessment of seismic hazard is successfully applied to the Wasatch Front Range in Utah in order to obtain the seismic maps for different annual probabilities of exceedance, different peak ground accelerations, and different time periods.

  • This paper is to technically implement the sensing platform for Home-Wellness Robot. The self-Localization of indoor mobile robot is very important for the sophisticated trajectory control. In this paper, the robot's self-localization algorithm is designed by RF sensor network and fuzzy inference. The robot realizes its self-localization, using RFID sensors, through the collaboration algorithm which uses fuzzy inference for combining the strengths of triangulation and triangulation. For the triangulation self-Localization, RSSI is implemented. TOA method is used for realizing the triangulation self-localization. The final improved position is, through fuzzy inference, made by the fusion algorithm of the resultant coordinates from trilateration and triangulation in real time. In this paper, good performance of the proposed self-localization algorithm is confirmed through the results of a variety of experiments in the base of RFID sensor network and reader system.

A Study on Fuzziness Parameter Selection in Fuzzy Vector Quantization for High Quality Speech Synthesis (고음질의 음성합성을 위한 퍼지벡터양자화의 퍼지니스 파라메타선정에 관한 연구)

  • This paper proposes a speech synthesis method using Fuzzy VQ, and then study how to make choice of fuzziness value which optimizes (controls) the performance of FVQ in order to obtain the synthesized speech which is closer to the original speech. When FVQ is used to synthesize a speech, analysis stage generates membership function values which represents the degree to which an input speech pattern matches each speech patterns in codebook, and synthesis stage reproduces a synthesized speech, using membership function values which is obtained in analysis stage, fuzziness value, and fuzzy-c-means operation. By comparsion of the performance of the FVQ and VQ synthesizer with simmulation, we show that, although the FVQ codebook size is half of a VQ codebook size, the performance of FVQ is almost equal to that of VQ. This results imply that, when Fuzzy VQ is used to obtain the same performance with that of VQ in speech synthesis, we can reduce by half of memory size at a codebook storage. And then we have found that, for the optimized FVQ with maximum SQNR in synthesized speech, the fuzziness value should be small when the variance of analysis frame is relatively large, while fuzziness value should be large, when it is small. As a results of comparsion of the speeches synthesized by VQ and FVQ in their spectrogram of frequency domain, we have found that spectrum bands(formant frequency and pitch frequency) of FVQ synthesized speech are closer to the original speech than those using VQ.
