This paper implemented a method to predict the fertility rate, mortality rate, and international migration rate using the R program, which has been widely used in recent years, that calculates population projection by substituting the results into the Leslie matrix. In particular, the generalization log gamma model for the fertility rate by Kaneko (2003), LC-ER model for mortality rate by Li et al. (2013), and functional data model for international migration rates proposed by Ramsay and Silverman (2005) and Hyndman and Booth (2008), Hyndman et al. (2013) can be directly demonstrated with R programs. Demography and bayesPop have been introduced as a representative demographic package implemented in R; however, it can be analyzed only for data uploaded to Human Mortality Database (HMD) and Human Fertility Database (HFD) with data changes and modifications requiring application of other data. In particular, in Korea, there is a limitation in applying this package because it is provided only for short-term data in HMD. This paper introduces an R program that can reflect this situation and the different patterns of low fertility, aging, migration of domestic and foreigners in Korea, and derives a population projection for the year 2117.
This paper presents a stochastic model for the software failure phenomenon based on a nonhomogeneous Poisson process (NHPP). The failure process is analyzed to develop a suitable mean value function for the NHPP ; expressions are given for several performance measure. Actual software failure data are compared with generalized model by Goel dependent on the constant reflecting the quality of testing. The performance measures and parametric inferences of the new models, Rayleigh and Gumbel distributions, are discussed. The results of the new models are applied to real software failure data and compared with Goel-Okumoto and Yamada, Ohba and Osaki models. Tools of parameter inference was used method of the maximun likelihood estimate and the bisection algorithm for the computing nonlinear root. In this paper, using the sum of the squared errors, model selection was employed. The numerical example by NTDS data was illustrated.
Electricity and heat load profiles by use types on an hourly basis at the least are essential for assessing economic viability of new cogeneration and CES projects and for optimally operating existing cogeneration and CES facilities. We adopt a multilevel model to specify heat load profiles so as to utilize in a flexible manner the panel nature of our data on weather and heating/cooling use. Converting the multilevel model to the linear mixed-effects model, we estimate the model by panel FGLS. The estimated load profile model for each distinct use type accounts for the effects of temperature, humidity, each hour over the year, each day of the week, each type of legal holidays, and heating/cooling area on energy use. To save space, we feature in detail the heating profile of the household.

NHPP software reliability models for failure analysis can have, in the literature, exhibit either constant, monotonic increasing or monotonic decreasing failure occurrence rates per fault. In this paper, infinite failures NHPP models that repairing software failure point in time reflects the situation, was presented for comparing property. Commonly used in the field of software reliability based on Weibull extension distribution software reliability of infinite failures was presented for comparison problem. The result is that a relatively large shape parameter was effectively. The parameters estimation using maximum likelihood estimation was conducted and Model selection was performed using the mean square error and the coefficient of determination. In this research, software developers to identify software failure property follows shape parameter, some extent be able to help is considered.

Development is given for an analytical approach that can investigate parameters characterizing road network geometry. A grid transportation network having a hierarchy structure is considered on a homogeneous and isotropic urban plane in which trip origins and destinations are uniformly dispersed and the trip length distribution is independent of the location of the origin. The object is to find the optimal spacings between urban arterials so as to minimize the sum of travel and construction costs, subject to the hypothesis that a trip assignment follows the Wardrop's first principle. The proposed approach is not the genera method for determining an efficient network layout, but can be used as basic concept for generating and evaluating urban road network alternatives. Given an O-D table and cost estimates the approach is able to outline at least in a qualitative sense the optimal spacings of urban arterial roads.
A shape data is used one oi most important feature for image retrieval as data to reflect meaning of image. Especially, structural feature of shape is widely studied because it represents primitive properties of shape and relation information between basic units well. However, most structural features of shape have the problem that it is not able to guarantee an efficient search time because the features are expressed as graph or tree. In order to solve this problem, we generate curvature-based morphological graph, End design key to cluster shapes from this graph. Proposed this graph have contour features and morphological features of a shape. Shape retrieval is accomplished by stages. We reduce a search space through clustering, and determine total similarity value through pattern matching of external curvature. Various experiments show that our approach reduces computational complexity and retrieval cost.
Steel materials, which are normally used in bridge structures, are prone to corrosion and have thin plate structures. Steel bridges that have been damaged through increased vehicle load and corrosion are frequently expected to be strengthened. Repair or strengthening methods generally include cutting, bolting, and welding. The basic characteristics of stress and deformation behavior generated by cutting and welding in the course of the repair work, however, are not yet understood. It is difficult to say whether the safety of the structure after welding conforms with existing safety evaluation methods. Therefore, to gain confidence in the material and to guarantee the safety of the structure after welding, the stress generated by heat, through welding and cutting, was generalized. The effect of additional loads with respect to stress generated by heat was also investigated.

This paper is a case study on regional linkages of producer services in Chinju region. Producer service appeared as the most rapid growth sector in service industry. In Chinju region. manufacturing firms purchase generalized producer service within the region. However the higher-order service, they demand; the remoter metropolis especially Seoul, they depend on. Linkage patterns among manufacturing sectors are similar; but then the firms whose managers are from Chinju or Gyeong-nam region had stronger regional linkages than others. Public institute such as Chamber of Commerce & Industry, University Research Institute of Industrial Technology. Korea Technology Credit Guarantee Fund, Korea Silk Research Institute have made important role as suppliers of public producer services in Chinju Region. As present stage, their services of industrial technology, fiancing, and information are not only fit regional demand but also spatially limited within region. The facts that large firms purchase high-order services from other region and small firms have not good demand of producer service suggest regional policy implication about supplying relevant producer service in the region.
Support Vector Machines (SVM) is well known for a representative learner as one of the kernel methods. SVM which is based on the statistical learning theory shows good generalization performance and has been applied to various pattern recognition problems. However, SVM is basically to deal with a two-class classification problem, so we cannot solve directly a multi-class problem with a binary SVM. One-Per-Class (OPC) and All-Pairs have been applied to solve the face recognition problem, which is one of the multi-class problems, with SVM. The two methods above are ones of the output coding methods, a general approach for solving multi-class problem with multiple binary classifiers, which decomposes a complex multi-class problem into a set of binary problems and then reconstructs the outputs of binary classifiers for each binary problem. In this paper, we introduce the output coding methods as an approach for extending binary SVM to multi-class SVM and propose new output coding schemes based on the Error-Correcting Output Codes (ECOC) which is a dominant theoretical foundation of the output coding methods. From the experiment on the face recognition, we give empirical results on the properties of output coding methods including our proposed ones.

Adaboost is well known for a representative learner as one of the kernel methods. Adaboost which is based on the statistical learning theory shows good generalization performance and has been applied to various pattern recognition problems. However, Adaboost is basically to deal with a two-class classification problem, so we cannot solve directly a multi-class problem with Adaboost. One-Vs-All and Pair-Wise have been applied to solve the multi-class classification problem, which is one of the multi-class problems. The two methods above are ones of the output coding methods, a general approach for solving multi-class problem with multiple binary classifiers, which decomposes a complex multi-class problem into a set of binary problems and then reconstructs the outputs of binary classifiers for each binary problem. However, two methods cannot show good performance. In this paper, we propose the method to solve a multi-target classification problem by using radial basis function of Adaboost weak classifier.
