This study intends to examine whether consumers, especially buying apparel product postpone purchase in the beliefs of price break in the near future. For this research objectives, the dynamic price expectation effect model for apparel product is proposed and is applied to weekly sales data and price information of 43 women's apparel brands from a department store over the spring season. The main results are summarized as follows. 1. Dynamic price expectation effect model is developed and the model is more robust to apparel product than Gutenberg model, which is not considered these conditions. 2. By applying the model to empirical data, we find out the price expectation effect in the apparel product; concretely there are 23 brands out of 43 brands. This study confirms the price expectation effects in the apparel product theoretically and extends the research boundary of price expectation effects.
To generate future profits, luxury brands need to recognize and understand customers as individually important and analyze the impact factors that improve specific customer equity. With the growing recognition that customer equity is a key strategic asset, this study empirically investigates the effect of customer equity drivers on customer loyalty based on the study of Vogel et al.(2008) which expanded the Rust et al.(2000)'s study on customer equity. We empirically examine if the customer equity drivers have a different impact on customer loyalty. This study hypothesizes that the relative effect of customer equity drivers would be different depending on the purchasing behavior of consumers and examines the effects of them on the relationship of the drivers of customer equity and customer loyalty. We use stepwise multiple regression analysis to empirically test the relationship of value equity, brand equity, and relationship equity and customer loyalty. Relationship equity influences customer loyalty more strongly than value equity and brand equity. Customers seem to build loyalty based on the careful assessment of all costumer equity drivers (value equity, brand equity, and relationship equity). In addition, their relative impact is different depending on the purchasing behavior of consumers. A company cannot maintain all customer equity drivers at a high level with limited marketing resources; therefore, marketing investment for all customer equity drivers need to be allocated differentially depending on the purchasing behavior of consumers.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Internet shopping interests on the casual relationships among Internet shopping mall attributes, emotions, and impulse buying behavior. Data were obtained from 414 internet shoppers who had bought fashion products in internet shopping mall. The result showed that the highly interested Internet shoppers, when perceived the product attributes of Internet shopping mall, were more likely to feel positive emotions, and then were more likely to buy fashion products impulsively in Internet shopping. The less perceived the convenience of checkout & trust in Internet, the more negative emotions they had. However, the less interested Internet shoppers were more likely to buy impulsively fashion products with positive emotions when they perceived various product assortments, and were negatively influenced by the high speed of loading and promotions of Internet shopping mall. The findings provide implications of impulse buying behavior in Internet shopping malls for fashion products.
This study explores determinants of purchase intentions for vegan fashion products based on the modified planned behavior model. Survey data from 434 university students were subjected to an analysis using descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and structural equation modeling. The results showed that almost half of the consumers surveyed recognized vegan fashion products and a little more than a half of consumers surveyed had purchase experience for vegan fashion products. Clothing, bags, and shoes are the most frequently purchased vegan fashion product categories. From the results of the model test, purchase intentions on vegan fashion products were determined by attitude, subjective norms, ethical responsibility, and ethical identity of the consumers. When consumers have a more positive attitude, have higher subjective norms, stronger ethical responsibility, and stronger ethical identity regarding the purchase of vegan fashion products, they are likely to have a greater intention to purchase vegan fashion products. The findings contribute to the literature by adding test results for vegan fashion products among the ethical product categories, highlighting the importance of the consideration of product category, which can give somewhat different results when exploring ethical consumption. Based on these findings, marketers need to use special tags or signage highlighting the ethical values and meanings of vegan fashion products to better communicate with target consumers with a high level of ethical responsibility and to help increase consumers' control over purchase behaviors through reducing barriers generated by insufficient product information.

Consumers are prone to engage in browsing because they are, for a variety of reasons, open to spending opportunities that grab their attentions. In-store browsing is the in-store examination of a retailer's merchandise for recreational or/and informational purposes without an immediate intent to buy. Browsers made more unplanned purchases than non-browsers in a regional mall setting. As a form of on-going search, in-store browsing is a central component in the impulse buying process. The purposes of this study were 1) to examine the causal relationships among fashion involvement, hedonic consumption, browsing and impulse buying behavior, and 2) to investigate the mediating effects of browsing on impulse buying behavior for fashion products. A questionnaire was developed from a literature review and measured on a 7-point rating scale. Data were obtained from 413 students attending universities in Busan. The self-administered questionnaire was given during a scheduled class. Using structural equation modeling, the results indicate that the proposed model of this study is appropriate to explain the mediating effects of browsing on impulse buying behavior for fashion products. The model shows that fashion involvement and hedonic consumption are important as antecedents of browsing in fashion stores, and consumers browsing longer in fashion stores would tend to increase the likelihood of experiencing impulse buying behavior. That is, browsing in store plays an important mediating role in triggering impulse buying behavior for fashion products. The results from this study provide some insights into retail marketing theory supporting the trait and behavioral aspects of impulse buying. Future research and managerial implications are addressed.

This study confirms how brand experiences perceived by consumers in the metaverse affect their pleasure and behavioral intentions (intention to use the platform, and purchase the virtual product). The results of this study are as follows. First, consumers have sensory, affective, behavioral, and intellectual experiences while interacting with fashion brands in the virtual space of the metaverse. Second, in the metaverse, consumers experience pleasure when they have various brand experiences including those mentioned above. Third, the pleasure gained through consumers' brand experiences has a positive effect on their behavioral intentions, including their intentions to use the platform and purchase the virtual product in the metaverse. This study is academically meaningful in strengthening brand experience-related research and expanding into the metaverse context through empirically verifying the influence of consumers' brand experiences on pleasure in the metaverse. Also, related fashion companies will be able to use the results of this study to strategically create consumers' sensory, affective, behavioral, and intellectual experiences to elicit pleasant emotions from consumers in the virtual space of the metaverse.

This study examines how idealism and relativism, which are the two dimensions of personal moral philosophy, and the perceived moral intensity affect the purchase behavior of consumers regarding fashion items made of animal skin and fur. Data were collected through an online survey, and data from 372 Korean female consumers were statistically analyzed, excluding questionnaires with non-response, insincere responses, and outliers. The data analysis using structural equation models showed a significant effect of idealism but a non-significant effect of relativism on perceived moral intensity concerning the purchase of real leather and fur fashion items. In a structural equation model for each fashion item, perceived moral intensity had a negative effect on purchase behavior. The indirect effect of idealism on purchase behavior through the perceived moral intensity was confirmed to be statistifically significant for each fashion item. However, neither idealism nor relativism had a direct effect on the purchase behavior of both fashion items. The research results were discussed from an academic perspective and practical implications were presented.

This study is conducted to provide marketing implications for the growing pet-related market by identifying the impact of attachment to pets on the purchasing attributes of pet goods and the relationship between the purchasing attributes, satisfaction, and behavioral intention. The survey was conducted on 173 respondents among the pet owners who had purchased pet products (beauty/bathing goods). The confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis were conducted using SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 21.0. This analysis results showed that attachment to a pet significantly influences the purchasing attributes of pet products: price appropriateness, quality, design, reputation and the sales environment. The relationship between the product purchasing attributes, satisfaction, and behavioral intention showed that price appropriateness, quality, and the sales environment of the product purchasing attributes had a significant impact on satisfaction, but the product's design and reputation do not. Satisfaction has a significant effect on behavioral intention. This study demonstrates that the pet product market should consider product quality, price appropriateness, use and an accessible sales environment based on the characteristics of pets rather than considering the design or reputation of the owner's preference of product.
This study analyzes empirically the effect of the degree of interest in cultural marketing on corporate image and how the corporate images affect on consumers' clothes purchasing behavior through the case of a fashion brand, 'Uniqlo'. For this, Chi-square test and independent sample T-test were used for the verification of differences in frequency and average by general characteristics of respondents. To observe the effects between ration scales, it carried out a multiple regression analysis, and also, using AMOS16.0, it verified the suitability of the route model and estimated the coefficients for each route. From the result of analysis, it was found that degree of consumer's interest in cultural marketing affects on corporate images such as corporate confidence and marketing and the corporate image again is closely related to consumer's clothes purchasing behavior and satisfaction. In other words, the consumers who have greater interest in corporations using cultural marketing or who had participated in various cultural events are more likely to think that 'Uniqlo' is a reliable corporation who actively uses cultural factors in marketing. Likely, it was observed that the positive corporate image of 'Uniqlo' has a large influence on purchase of their products and also, it makes consumers feel as if they are participating in mecenat, thus increasing consumer's satisfaction after purchase. This study has a limitation in generalization of study result because it focused on a case of particular brand. However, it is still helpful for the empirical study for growth and reinvigoration of the market for cultural marketing, and through a case of leading corporation, it provides implications to the corporations who use or do not use cultural marketing.
