Due to the collapse of corrugated bulkheads subject to accidental flooding which is thought to be a primary cause of bulk carrier losses International Maritime Organization(IMO), the International Association of Classification Societies(IACS) and the leading classification societies are taking a growing concern for the structural safety of corrugated bulkheads of bulk carriers. To prevent progressive collapse of corrugated bulkhead in flooded condition particularly of forward cargo ho1d they try to make rules which require reinforcement of corrugated bulkhead structure. However, we are still confronted with the urgent problem of more accurate and efficient ultimate strength assessment for corrugated bulkheads. This paper develops a special purpose nonlinear FE program for analyzing progressive collapse behavior of corrugated bulkheads subject to lateral pressure loads. As verification examples, the program is applied to collapse strength analysis of steel corrugated bulkhead test model.

The characteristics Prandt1-Meyer expansion of supersonic flow with condensation through a wavy wall in a channel are investigated by experiment and numerical direct marching method of characteristics. In the present study, for the case of moist air flow in the type of indraft supersonic wind tunnel, the dependency of location of formation and reflection of the oblique shock wave generated by the wavy wall and the distribution of flow properties, on the specific humidity and temperature at the entrance of wavy wall and the attack angle of the wavy wall to the main stream is clarified by schlieren photograph, distribution of static pressure and Mach number, and plots of numerical results. Also, we confirm that the wavy wall plays an important key role in the formation of oblique shock wave, and that the effect of condensation on the flow field appears apparently.

본 논문은 He-Ne-Xe의 삼원가스를 사용하는 ac-PDP에서 어드레싱 시간을 줄이고 휘도를 높이기 위하여 기존의 ADS(Address Display period Separated) 구동 방식에서 어드레스 구간을 변형하였다. 즉, 어드레스 구간에 기존의 사각 파형 대신에 기울기 파형을 사용하여 그 영향을 고찰하였다. 또, 기울기파의 경사를 변화시키면서 그 때의 벽전하와 방전전류, 휘도, 효율을 측정하고 그 결과를 고찰하였다. 그 결과, 벽전하의 양이 25%, 휘도가 14%, 효율이 13% 증가하였고, 방전응답시간을 줄일 수 있었다.

The characteristic of supersonic flow with condensation along a wavy wall of small amplitude in channel is investigated through the direct marching method of characteristics. The very complex problem that may appear where the overlapping of the same family characteristics occurs, can be satisfactorily solved by means of the modified method suggested by Zucrow. In the present study for the case of supersonic moist air flow, the dependency of location of formation and reflection of oblique shock wave generated by the wavy wall, and the distributions of flow properties, on the relative humidity and temperature at the entrance of wavy wall is clarified by plots of streamline, ios-Mach umber and ios-flow properties. Also, it is confirmed that the wavy wall plays an important key role in the formation of oblique shock wave, and that the effect of condensation on the flow field appears apparently.

동맥의 일부분이 팽창하는 동맥류는 파열로 인한 높은 사망률을 야기한다. 동맥류의 발생 및 파열에는 혈관벽의 구조적 약화와 혈류에 의한 응력이 중요한 역할을 하며, 혈류에 의해 혈관벽에 가해지는 전단응력은 간접적으로 혈관벽 구조를 변화시키고, 직접적으로 혈관벽에 응력을 가하므로 동맥류 파열에 영향을 미치는 중요한 혈류역학적 인자이다. 동맥류가 자주 발생하는 복부대동맥류 모델을 제작하여 정상류와 맥동류 유동에서 광색성 염료를 이용한 유동가시화 방법으로 벽 전단변형률을 측정하였다. 벽전단변형률은 동맥류 내부에서 감소하여 음의 값을 가지며, 동맥류 최대확장부 후부에서 다시 증가하여 확장부가 끝나는 위치에서 동맥 벽에 비해 약 1.5배 정도의 큰 전단변형률 값을 가졌다. 동맥류 최대확장부 후부에서는 벽전단변형률의 방향의 바뀌며, 위치에 따른 전단변형률의 변화가 크게 나타났다. 맥동류 유동에서는 동맥류의 위치에 따라 시간에 따른 벽전단형률 파형이 측정되었다. 동맥류 내부에서는 전단변형률의 크기가 작고 그 방향이 시간에 따라 변화가 심하였으므로 혈관벽의 구조변화가 발생하기 쉬운 지역으로 지목된다. 동맥류 최대 확장부 후부는 위치 및 시간에 따른 전단변형률의 변화가 심하며, 혈관벽 응력이 최대값을 갖는 지역이므로 동맥류의 파열이 발생하기 쉬운 지역으로 예측된다.

AC PDP의 구동방법 중 가장 대표적인 구동 법이라 할 수 있는 ADS 구동 법은 구현이 비교적 용이하고, 안정적인 구동특성으로 인하여 현재 많은 상용 AC PDP의 구동 법으로 널리 채택되고 있다. 본 논문은 현재 AC PDP의 주요 연구 분야 중에 하나인 고속 어드레싱에 관한 새로운 구동파형을 소개하였다. 기존 AD을 구동법은 초기화구간과 어드레스구간 그리고 유지구간이 명확히 분리되어 있어 FULL- HD급 화면을 구현하기 위해서 어드레싱에 소비되는 시간의 감소가 불가피하다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 어드레스 펄스폭을 줄여주지만, 이로 인하여 불안정한 어드레싱을 초래하게 된다. AC PDP의 초기화 구간의 파형은 이후의 어드레스 특성에 중요한 영향을 끼치는데, 초기화간에 형성된 priming 입자는 어드레스 방전에 크게 도움을 준다. 본 논문은 초기화구간이 끝난 후 priming 효과가 급격히 떨어지는 80us이후에 벽전하 형성을 돕는 벽전하 가속펄스의 사용으로 짧은 어드레스 펄스폭으로 인한 불안정한 어드레싱을 보완하고, 어드레스 과정 후 유지방전 모드로의 벽전하의 형성을 빠르게 유도할 수 있어 1us의 짧은 어드레스 폭으로도 안정적인 어드레싱을 수행할 수 있도록 하였다.

파의 에너지 감쇠기구의 관점에서 볼 때 분류손실방식인 유공벽식 방파제 중에서 원형공이 벽 전체에 균일하게 분포되어 있고 구멍 직경에 비해 벽 두께가 얇은 삼중 유공벽형 Caisson의 각 벽에 작용하는 파력에 고나해 이론적 접근과 실험을 통한 실증을 시도해 보았다. 이론적인 방법으로는 토굴구효남의 이론을 응용하였으며 주어진 파랑조건에 대해 각 유공벽 전 후면에 연속방정식과 Bernoulli 방정식을 이용하여, 각 영역별 연속 Potential의 진폭과 위상각에 대한 비선형 12원 연립방정식을 만들었고 Computer를 이용하여 반복법으로 각 속도 Potential을 확정하였다. 이렇게 구한 속도 Potential을 압력방정식에 대입하여 각 벽별 파력을 계산하였으며 동일한 파랑조건하의 실험에서 각 벽별 파력을 측정하여 양자를 서로 비교검토하였다. Bernoulli의 방정식중 에너지 손실항은 의사비선형으로 처리하였다. 유공율조합 0.25-0.3-0.2이고, 판두께가 1cm인 모형의 실험결과, 각 벽별 최대파력치의 특성으로서는 첫때, S-2, S-3등 간벽에 작용하는 파력이 전벽 및 후벽에 비해 두드러지게 작다는 사실과, 둘째 작용파력의 크기 순이 파형경사가 작을 때는 대략 S-4, S-1, S-2, S-3순이고 파형경사가 클 때에는 대략 S-1, S-4, S-2, S-3순이라는 점 등을 들 수 있겠다. 굴구효남이 가정한 f의 치 1.5를 사용하여 계산한 각 벽별 최대파력을 실험치와 비교해 본 결과, 파가 각 유공벽을 통과할 때의 손실수두를 실험에서의 양만큼 fr=1.5를 가정한 수학적 model이 설명해 주지 못한다고 볼 수 있으므로 두가지 방법에 의하여 본 실험에서 사용한 유공판의 손실계수를 근사적으로 추정하여 보았다. 추정한 f를 사용하여 다시금 각 벽별 최대파력을 계산하고 실험치와 비교해 보면 훨씬 서로 근접함을 알 수 있었다. 결국 본 논문의 이론을 사용하면 유공Caisson문제의 전체적인 윤곽 및 각 변수들의 파력에 대한 영향을 파악할 수 있겠다.

AC-PDP의 구동 요소 중 중요한 것은 벽전하와 그로부터 유도되는 벽전압, 그리고 프라이밍입자(priming partical)의 밀도 변화라고 할 수 있다. 패널의 초기화가 전구간의 방전을 좌우하기 때문에 초기화 펄스의 기울기에 따른 방전현상을 이해하고자 각 구간에서의 전기-광학적 특성과 함께 휘도와 효율의 관점에서 연구 조사하였다. 본 실험에서 사용한 reset 펄스파형은 셀의 방전개시전압과 인가전압사이의 차이가 적고, 초기 프라이밍 입자와 단위시간당 전자에 공급되는 에너지가 적은 램프형태의 초기화 펄스를 사용하였다. 실험장치는 VDS(versatile driving simulator)시스템을 이용하였다. 실험결과 reset의 기울기가 커질수록 반응시간이 빨라지며, 약방전의 형태를 고속이미지로 확인하였다.

본 논문은 무수은 평판 형광램프의 구동원리를 해석하기 위하여 주파수 변화에 따른 벽전하와 벽전압 특성이 방전특성에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 펄스폭 $9[{\mu}s]$, 300[ns]의 전압 상승 시간을 갖는 펄스파로 방전시켰다. 벽전하, 정전용량, 벽전압의 전기적 특성은 인가된 전압, 전류 파형으로부터 계산하였다. 이때 구동 주파수는 20[kHz]에서 40[kHz]까지 변화시키면서 방전 전후의 정전용량 및 Q-V특성 곡선을 해석하였다. 주파수가 증가하면서 전극간의 정전용량 $C_p$ 방전공간상의 정전용량 $C_o$는 변화를 보이지 않았으나 방전공간과 전극사이의 정전용량 $2C_g$는 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 또한 주파수가 증가하면서 방전개시 전압은 감소하였으며 효율은 감소하는 경향을 보였다.

In this paper, a finite element dynamic simulation study was performed to gain an insight about the blast wall test details for the offshore structures. The simulation was verified using qualitative and quantitative comparisons for different materials. Based on in-depth examination of blast simulation recordings, dynamic behaviors occurred in the blast wall against the explosion are determined. Subsequent simulation results present that the blast wall made of high energy absorbing high manganese steel performs much better in the shock absorption. In this paper, the existing finite element shock analysis using the LS-DYNA program is further extended to study the blast wave response of the corrugated blast wall made of the high manganese steel considering strain rate effects. The numerical results for various parameters are verified by comparing different material models with dynamic effects occurred in the blast wall from the explosive simulation.
