  • 화상 회의, 개인 인터넷 방송 등의 실시간 응용 시스템을 위해 오버레이 멀티캐스트 트리가 충족 시켜야 하는 조건은 크게 두 가지이다. 트리상의 노드의 차수가 적절한 상한이어야 하고, 멀티캐스트 트리의 지름, 즉 트리 상의 경로 거리로 볼 때 가장 먼 두 사용자 간의 거리가 작아야 한다는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 위의 두 조건을 고려한 실시간 방송 IPTV 방송서비스를 전송하는 시스템을 구성하고, 실시간 방송 서비스에 적합한 오버레이 멀티캐스트 트리를 구성하는 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다. 이 알고리즘은 Cost값을 각 End-User들의 가용대역폭과 이웃 End-User들과의 Delay, 그리고 요구대역폭을 제안하는 Cost-Function에 적용한 후, M.S.T(Minimum Spanning Tree) 알고리즘을 활용하여 최적의 트리를 구성하게 된다.

Constant Time Algorithm for Building the Linear Quadtree on RMESH (RMESH 구조에서의 선형 사진트리 구축을 위한 상수 시간 알고리즘)

  • Quadtree, which is hierarchical data structure, is a very important data structure to represent binary images. Since a linear quadtree representation as is a way to store a quadtree is efficient to save space compared with other representations. It is, however, complicated and takes a large amount of time to build the linear quadtree. In this paper, we present O(1) time a linear quadtree building algorithm for a $n{\times}n$ binary image using three-dimensional $n{\times}n{\times}n$ processors on RMESH structure. Our algorithm, by use of O(1) time collapsing algorithm and reported O(1) time sorting algorithm, is simpler and easier to understand than resently presented algorithm on PARBUS structure.

  • This paper proposes a Simulated Annealing(SA) algorithm for cluster-based Multicast Routing problems. Multicasting, the transmission of data to a group, can be solved from constructing multicast tree, that is. the whole network is partitioned to some clusters and the clusters are constructed by multicast tree. Multicast tree can be constructed by minimum-cost Steiner tree. In this paper, an SA algorithm is used in the minimum-cost Steiner tree. Especially, in SA, the cooling schedule is an important factor for the algorithm. Hence, in this paper, a cooling schedule is proposed for SA for multicast routing problems and analyzed the simulation results.

  • A tag collision arbitration algorithm for RFID passive tags is one of the important issues for fast tag identification, since reader and tag have a shared wireless channel in RFID system. This paper suggests Hyper-Hybrid Query Tree algorithm to prevent the tag-collisions. The suggested algorithms determine the specified point in time for tag to transfer ID to reader by using value 1 of the upper 3 bit based on Query Tree. Also, because the transferred upper 3 bits of tag is different depending on the time of transfer, it is possible to predict in the suggested Algorithm. In the performance evaluation through simulation, it shows the suggested algorithm has higher performance in the number of queries compared to other Tree-based protocols.

  • 본 논문에서는 멀티캐스팅 경로 설정에 많이 사용되는 스타이너 트리 문제를 위한 새로운 유전자 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 제안된 알고리즘에서는 휴리스틱 방법으로 스타이너 트리를 구성하고, 여기에 유전자 알고리즘을 반복 수행하여, 보다 최적에 가까운 스타이너 트리를 구하도록 하였다. 제안 알고리즘을 OR- 라이브러리의 스타이너 트리 문제 중 38개의 예제에 대하여 실험한 결과, 21개의 예제에서 최적 해를 찾아내었다. 또한 반복 계산 초기에 빠르게 수렴하는 성질을 볼 수 있었다.

  • This paper proposes a fuzzy Petri net representation to represent the fuzzy production rules of a rule-based expert system. Based on the fuzzy Petri net representation. we present a fuzzy reasoning algorithms which consist of forward and b backward reasoning algorithm. The proposed algorithms. which use the proper belief evaluation functions according to fuzzy concepts in antecedent and consequent of a fuzzy production rule. are more closer to human intuition and reasoning than other methods. The forward reasoning algorithm can be represented by a reachability tree as a kind of finite directed tree. The backward reasoning algorithm generates the backward reasoning path from the goal to the initial nodes and then evaluates the belief value of the goal node using belief evaluation functions.

  • 본 논문에서는 고차원의 특징 벡터 공간에서의 객체에 대한 효율적인 검색을 지원하는 셀기반 시그니쳐 트리 색인 구조(CS-트리, CI-트리)를 제안한다. 특징 벡터 공간을 셀로써 분할하고 특징 벡터는 셀의 시그니쳐로 표현되며 트리에 저장된다. 특징 벡터 대신 시그니쳐를 사용하여 트리의 깊이가 낮아짐으로서 검색을 효율적으로 수행할 수 있다. 또한 셀에 적합한 새로운 가지치기 거리를 이용한 유사성 검색 알고리즘으로 수행할 수 있다. 또한 셀에 적합한 새로운 가지치기 거리를 유사성 검색 알고리즘을 제시한다. 마지막으로 우수한 고차원 색인 기법으로 알려져 있는 X-트리와 성능 비교를 수행하여, 성능비교 결과 본 논문에서 제안하는 CS-트리와 CI-트리가 검색 시간 측면에서 최대 30%의 검색 성능이 개선됨을 보인다.

Creating Level Set Trees Using One-Class Support Vector Machines (One-Class 서포트 벡터 머신을 이용한 레벨 셋 트리 생성)

  • A level set tree provides a useful representation of a multidimensional density function. Visualizing the data structure as a tree offers many advantages for data analysis and clustering. In this paper, we present a level set tree estimation algorithm for use with a set of data points. The proposed algorithm creates a level set tree from a family of level sets estimated over a whole range of levels from zero to infinity. Instead of estimating density function then thresholding, we directly estimate the density level sets using one-class support vector machines (OC-SVMs). The level set estimation is facilitated by the OC-SVM solution path algorithm. We demonstrate the proposed level set tree algorithm on benchmark data sets.

A Distributed Low-cost Dynamic Multicast Routing Algorithm with Delay Constraints (지연시간을 고려한 최소비용의 동적 멀티캐스트 라우팅 알고리즘)

  • Many real-time multimedia applications, such as video conferencing have stringent end-to-end delay constraints and consume large amount of network resources. In order to support these applications efficiently, multicast routing algorithms computing least cost multicast trees that satisfy a given end-to-end delay constraint are needed. However, finding such a tree is known to be computationally expensive. Therefore, we propose a heuristic distributed multicast routing algorithm that reduces a “finding multicast tree”that satisfies a given end-to-end delay constraint and minimizes the average resulting tree cost. Also, simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has much better average cost performance than other existing algorithms.

A Slot Scheduling Algorithm for Balancing Power Consumption in Tree-based Sensor Networks (트리 기반 센서네트워크에서 전력 소모 균형을 위한 슬랏 스케쥴링 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we propose a slot scheduling algorithm for balancing power consumption in tree-based sensor networks. In this type of networks, nodes with lower depths tend to consume more energy than those with higher depths, thereby reducing the life time of the network. The proposed algorithm allocates a series of receiving slots first and then a series of sending slots. This way of slot allocation eases packet aggregation and filtering, and thus reduces traffic load on nodes near a sink. We compare the proposed algorithm and the frame-slot allocation algorithm employed in the TreeMAC by resorting to simulation. The simulation results showed that the proposed approach well achieves the balancing of power consumption.
