A Study on the Charge Balance Characteristics of Super Junction MOSFET with Deep-Trench Technology (Deep-Trench 기술을 적용한 Super Junction MOSFET의 Charge Balance 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Super Junction structure is the proposed structure to minimize the Trade-off phenomenon of power devices. Super Junction can have On-resistance(Ron) characteristics as less as five times than conventional structure. There are process methods that Multi-Epi and Deep-Trench of Super Junction structure. The reason for this is that Deep-Trench process is known to be a relatively difficult manufacturing method because it is easy to form a P-Pillar by burying impurities on top of a silicon substrate through a Deep-Trench process. However, the structure created by the Deep-Trench process has low On-resistance and high breakdown voltage, showing better efficiency. In this paper, we suggested a novel method in the process and designed structure with Charge Balance theory.

Optimization of LEA Quantum Circuits to Apply Grover's Algorithm (그루버 알고리즘 적용을 위한 LEA 양자 회로 최적화)

  • Quantum algorithms and quantum computers can break the security of many of the ciphers we currently use. If Grover's algorithm is applied to a symmetric key cipher with n-bit security level, the security level can be lowered to (n/2)-bit. In order to apply Grover's algorithm, it is most important to optimize the target cipher as a quantum circuit because the symmetric key cipher must be implemented as a quantum circuit in the oracle function. Accordingly, researches on implementing AES(Advanced Encryption Standard) or lightweight block ciphers as quantum circuits have been actively conducted in recent years. In this paper, korean lightweight block cipher LEA was optimized and implemented as a quantum circuit. Compared to the previous LEA quantum circuit implementation, quantum gates were used more, but qubits were drastically reduced, and performance evaluation was performed for this tradeoff problem. Finally, we evaluated quantum resources for applying Grover's algorithm to the proposed LEA implementation.

ASTC Block-Size Determination Method based on PSNR Values (PSNR 값 기반의 자동화된 ASTC 블록 크기 결정 방법)

  • ASTC is one of the standard texture formats supported in OpenGL ES 3.2 and Vulkan 1.0 (and later versions), and it has been increasingly used on mobile platforms (Android and iOS). ASTC's most important feature is the block size configuration, thereby providing a trade-off between compression quality and rates. With the higher number of textures, however, it is difficult to manually determine the optimal block sizes of each texture. To solve the problem, we present a new approach based on PSNR values to automatically determine the ASTC block size. A brute-force approach, which compresses a texture on all block sizes and compares the PSNR values of the compressed textures, can increase the compression time by up to 14 times. In contrast, our three-step approach minimizes the compression-time overhead. According to our experiments on a texture set including 64 various textures, our method determined the block sizes from 4×4 to 12×12 and reduced the size of compressed files by 68%.

Malicious Insider Detection Using Boosting Ensemble Methods (앙상블 학습의 부스팅 방법을 이용한 악의적인 내부자 탐지 기법)

  • Due to the increasing proportion of cloud and remote working environments, various information security incidents are occurring. Insider threats have emerged as a major issue, with cases in which corporate insiders attempting to leak confidential data by accessing it remotely. In response, insider threat detection approaches based on machine learning have been developed. However, existing machine learning methods used to detect insider threats do not take biases and variances into account, which leads to limited performance. In this paper, boosting-type ensemble learning algorithms are applied to verify the performance of malicious insider detection, conduct a close analysis, and even consider the imbalance in datasets to determine the final result. Through experiments, we show that using ensemble learning achieves similar or higher accuracy to other existing malicious insider detection approaches while considering bias-variance tradeoff. The experimental results show that ensemble learning using bagging and boosting methods reached an accuracy of over 98%, which improves malicious insider detection performance by 5.62% compared to the average accuracy of single learning models used.

  • The Korean wine market is growing year by year recently especially in Off-trade market. It shows not just a part of the very few consumer-driven trend. The purchases of wine is always not so easy because the risk factors and failure points occur when buying wines. Most of wine consumers feel difficulties when buying wines at phase of previous step, buying step and after buying step. Wine consumers can be divided into the wine experts, wine lovers, novices, outsiders. To guide an wine buying with less failures to each representative of wine consumer characteristics and needs, user persona and scenario for the reduced failure were derived.

  • 넥서스는 물, 에너지, 식량, 토지, 기후 및 환경 등의 부문 간 연관성과 상호의존성을 나타내며, 이러한 넥서스 개념은 최근에 학계와 정책결정자들에게 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 더 나아가 넥서스 관점의 도입으로 단일 부문별로 자원을 관리하는 기존의 정책 결정 체계의 한계를 극복하고, 관련 있는 부문 간의 시너지와 트레이드오프를 고려한 지속가능한 발전을 위한 의사 결정이 가능하게 되었다. 일반적으로 취수-도수-정수처리-송수-분배·급수-물이용-하수집수-하수처리-물재이용으로 구성되는 도시 물순환 시스템에서 공급과정에서 발생되는 물손실 관리를 위한 전략 및 프로그램은 물부문 만에서 평가를 통해 수립되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 시스템 다이나믹스(System Dynamics)를 적용하여 물, 에너지 및 환경 부문을 동시에 고려한 도시 물순환 시스템 모델을 개발하여, 넥서스 관점에서의 합리적인 도시 물손실 관리 방안을 도출하고자 하였다. 그리고 모델 내 부문 간 자원의 사용량 및 이동량의 정량화를 위해 물, 에너지, 환경 지표로 각각 물발자국(Water Footprint), 총 에너지 사용량(Total Energy Use) 및 탄소발자국(Carbon Footprint)이 적용되었다. 개발된 모델을 3개의 도시 에너지 인텐시티 현황(낮음, 보통, 높음)과 4개의 물손실 현황(낮은 물손실, 높은 물손실&낮은 명목손실비, 높은 물손실&보통 명목손실비, 높은 물손실&높은 명목손실비)을 고려한 12개의 시나리오에 적용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 기존의 경제적인 측면 중심의 의사결정 과정에서는 명목손실이 물손실 관리 전략 수립 및 적용의 우선순위였으나, 넥서스 관점에서는 실손실 부분의 개선이 중요함을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 도시의 단위 물공급 에너지 인텐시티가 자원 사용 및 이동에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되어서, 넥서스 관점의 의사결정시 사전적으로 분석해야 하는 중요 항목인 것으로 도출되었다. 이와 같은 범용적이고 포괄적인 도시 물순환 물-에너지-환경 넥서스 모델을 통해, 지속가능하고, 체계적이며, 구체적이고, 실현가능한 넥서스관점의 물손실 관리가 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

Noise Statistics Estimation Using Target-to-Noise Contribution Ratio for Parameterized Multichannel Wiener Filter (변수내장형 다채널 위너필터를 위한 목적신호대잡음 기여비를 이용한 잡음추정기법)

  • Parameterized multichannel Wiener filter (PMWF) is a linear filter that can control the trade-off between residual noise and signal distortion using the embedded parameter. To apply the PMWF to noisy inputs, accurate noise estimation is important and multichannel minima-controlled recursive averaging (MMCRA) is widely used. However, in the case of the MMCRA, the accuracy of noise estimation decreases when a directional interference is involved into the array inputs. Consequently, the performance of the PMWF is degraded. Therefore, we propose a noise power spectral density (PSD) estimation method for the PMWF in this paper. The proposed method is based on a consecutive process of eigenvalue decomposition on noisy input PSD, estimation of the target component contribution using directional information, and exponential weighting for improved estimation of the target contribution. For evaluation, four objective measures were compared with the MMCRA and we verify that the PMWF with the proposed noise estimation method can improve performance in environments where directional interfereces exist.

Residual Stress Behavior and Physical Properties of Colorless and Transparent Polyimide Films (무색 투명 폴리이미드 박막의 잔류응력 거동 및 특성분석)

  • A series of polyimide (PI) was prepared by reacting 4,4'-(hexafluoroisopropylidene)-diphthalic anhydride (6FDA) as the anhydride and bis(3-aminophenyl) sulfone (APS), bis[4-(3-aminophenoxy)-phenyl] sulfone (BAPS), 2,2-bis(4-aminophenyl)-hexafluoropropane (6FPD), 2,2-bis[4-(4-aminophenoxy)-phenyl]hexafluoropropane (6FBAPP), 2,2'-bis(trifluoromethyl)benzidine (TFDB), or 1,4-phenylenediamine (PDA) as the diamine. Residual stress behaviors were detected in-situ during thermal imidization of the polyimide precursors using a thin film stress analyzer (TFSA), and interpreted with respect to their morphology. According to the molecular orientation and packing order, the residual stress varied from 23.1 to 12.5 MPa, decreased with increasing chain rigidity. The thermal properties of the PI films were investigated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and thermomechanical analysis (TMA). Their optical properties were measured by ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer (UV-vis), and spectrophotometry. The properties of PI films were found to be strongly dependent upon the morphological structure. However, trade-offs between residual stress and optical properties were identified.

Analysis for the Effect of EMI Shield Layers' Height on Circuit Function (EMI 차폐막의 높이가 회로의 기능에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • S-parameters were used to analyze the effect of the circuit according to the height of the EMI shield layers. Among the S-parameters, S11, S21, S22, and S31 were used as factors for determining the effect on the circuit function. Simulations were performed using shields made of Graphite and Ferrite, and the frequencies were run from 100 MHz to 1 GHz. As the height of the shield was increased, the value of S21 was getting closer to 0 dB. In addition, the SE value was confirmed to improve the shielding performance according to the thickness of the insulating layer only in a specific frequency band. Based on 800um with thickest silicon dioxide thickness, the FG structure averaged -1 dB in narrow frequency bands between 100 MHz and 300 MHz, showing better efficiency than GF with an average of -2 dB. Although GF structures do not show high efficiency, they exhibit average performance of -3 dB in frequency bands between 100 MHz and 1 GHz rather than FG structures that sway over a wide range. In other words, FG and GF structures have trade-off structures. Therefore, it should be noted that the appropriate structure is selected for use.

A Posterior Preference Articulation Method to the Weighted Mean Squared Error Minimization Approach in Multi-Response Surface Optimization (다중반응표면 최적화에서 가중평균제곱오차 최소화법을 위한 선호도사후제시법)

  • Multi-Response Surface Optimization aims at finding the optimal setting of input variables considering multiple responses simultaneously. The Weighted Mean Squared Error (WMSE) minimization approach, which imposes a different weight on the two components of mean squared error, squared bias and variance, first obtains WMSE for each response and then minimizes all the WMSEs at once. Most of the methods proposed for the WMSE minimization approach to date are classified into the prior preference articulation approach, which requires that a decision maker (DM) provides his/her preference information a priori. However, it is quite difficult for the DM to provide such information in advance, because he/she cannot experience the relationships or conflicts among the responses. To overcome this limitation, this paper proposes a posterior preference articulation method to the WMSE minimization approach. The proposed method first generates all (or most) of the nondominated solutions without the DM's preference information. Then, the DM selects the best one from the set of nondominated solutions a posteriori. Its advantage is that it provides an opportunity for the DM to understand the tradeoffs in the entire set of nondominated solutions and effectively obtains the most preferred solution suitable for his/her preference structure.
