  • The existing CBD development methods deal with the analysis phase in a superficial manner. Applying such a superficial analysis to business applications with a number of subsystems makes analysis models be inconsistent with levels and styles, only depending on experiences of the analysts. This inconsistent analysis might cause more serious problems during the subsequent development phases, resulting in the failure of the projects. In this paper, we propose a rule-based analysis pattern that provides an analysis template for business applications. This pattern analyzes the concepts of business applications by using external events and internal rules that process the events. Employing this pattern, a huge business application can be developed by a couple of co-analysts who work together in a consistent and systematic manner. This paper also describes an efficient way to develop business components with the suggested analysis pattern using banking deposit case study through UML Components development process.

  • The replication of data is used to increase its availability and to improve the performance of a system. The distributed database system has to maintain both the database consistency and the replica consistency. This paper proposes an algorithm which resolves the conflict of the operations by using the mechanism based on the structure that the replicas of each data item are hierarchically organized. Each update is propagated along the tree based on the fact that the root of each data item is the primary replica in partially replicated databases. The use of a hierarchy of data may eliminate useless propagation since the propagation can be done only to sites having the replicas. In consequence, the propagation delay of updates may be reduced. By using the timestamp and a compensating transaction, our algorithm resolves the non-serializability problem caused by the conflict of operations that can happen on the way of the update propagation due to the lazy propagation. This resolution also guarantees the data consistency.

  • The applicability of network-based computing depends on the availability of the underlying network bandwidth. Such a growing gap between the capacity of the backbone network and the end users' needs results in a serious bottleneck of the access network in between. As a result, ISP incurs disadvantages in their business. If this situation is known to ISP in advance, or if ISP is able to predict traffic volume end-to-end link high-load zone, ISP and end users would be able to decrease the gap for ISP service quality. In this paper, simulation tools, such as ACE, ADM, and Flow Analysis, were used to be able to perceive traffic volume prediction and end-to-end link high-load zone. In using these simulation tools, we were able to estimate sequential transaction in real-network for e-Commerce. We also imported virtual network environment estimated network data, and create background traffic. In a virtual network environment like this, we were able to find out simulation results for traffic volume prediction and end-to-end link high-load zone according to the increase in the number of users based on virtual network environment.

  • HL7 released V3 CDA(Clinical Document Architecture) and V2.x message standards for medical information exchange. Currently, these standards are successfully adopted by a number of nations across the globe. However, substantial amount of time is required to develop and implement these standards. Moreover, developers need a lot of time to understand these standards. To solve these issues from 2011, the HL7 standard framework started to discuss Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources(FHIR) as next generation standard of healthcare information exchange. People's interests toward personal health record and smartphone penetration rate are growing and increasing rapidly. Therefore, our research team believes it is necessary to develop a PHR profiling system which could be accessed by using a smartphone and we developed the system. Through a FHIR Profile editor tool developed in Furore, we found that improvements could be made in generating and changing the profile. In order to build the PHR Profiling system, an Open-API on FHIR is used for exchanging information between electronic medical record system and PHR Profiling system. In the PHR Profiling system, the transactions of information between two systems are provided by RESTful service. In this study, we verify the efficiency of development of the PHR Profiling system through FHIR.

  • Advances in information and communication technologies are changing our society greatly. In knowledge-based society, information can be obtained easily via communication tools such as web and e-mail. However, obtaining right and up-to-date information is difficult in spite of overflowing information. The concept of adaptive web site has been initiated recently. The purpose of the site is to provide information only users want out of tons of data gathered. In this paper, an algorithm is developed for adaptive web site construction. The proposed algorithm is based on association rules that are major principle in adaptive web site construction. The algorithm is constructed by analysing log data in web server and extracting meaning documents through finding behavior patterns of users. The proposed algorithm has the following characteristics. First, it is superior to existing algorithms using association rules in time complexity. Its superiority is proved theoretically. Second, the proposed algorithm is effective in space complexity. This is due to that it does not need any intermediate products except a linked list that is essential for finding frequent item sets.

  • Due to the advance of computer and communication technology, intrusions or crimes using a computer have been increased rapidly while tremendous information has been provided to users conveniently Specially, for the security of a database which stores important information such as the private information of a customer or the secret information of a company, several basic suity methods of a database management system itself or conventional misuse detection methods have been used. However, a problem caused by abusing the authority of an internal user such as the drain of secret information is more serious than the breakdown of a system by an external intruder. Therefore, in order to maintain the sorority of a database effectively, an anomaly defection technique is necessary. This paper proposes a method that generates the normal behavior profile of a user from the database log of the user based on an association mining method. For this purpose, the Information of a database log is structured by a semantically organized pattern tree. Consequently, an online transaction of a user is compared with the profile of the user, so that any anomaly can be effectively detected.

  • For supporting Interoperability among heterogeneous data sources in different geographic information systems, it is required to use open API like OGIS OLE DB Proposed in OGC. The OLE/COM Implementation Specification of OGIS only provides interfaces to discover and access spatial data, but does not support interfaces for updating distributed spatial data. To solve this problem, we propose and add interfaces for updating spatial objects distributed over heterogeneous data sources and examining the consistency of spatial relationships between updated objects. We also devise a 2-phase commit protocol based on spatial relationships in order to guarantee the consistency of updated objects. To justify the update scheme using the proposed Interfaces and 2-phase commit prototype we design and implement a prototype system for updating distributed spatial objects.

  • Solid-State Disks (SSDs) have been currently considered as a promising candidate to replace hard disks, due to their significantly short access time, low power consumption, and shock resistance. SSDs, however, have drawbacks such that their write throughput and life span are decreased by random-writes, nearly regardless of SSDs controller designs. Previous studies have mostly focused on better designs of SSDs controller and reducing the number of write operations to SSDs. We suggest another method that reallocates data pages that tend to be simultaneously written to contiguous blocks. Our method gathers write operations during a period of time and generates write traces. After transforming each trace to a set of transactions, our method mines frequent itemsets from the transactions and reallocates the pages of the frequent itemsets. In addition, we introduce an algorithm that reallocates the pages of the frequent itemsets with moderate time complexity. Experiments using TPC-C workload demonstrated that our method successfully reduce 6% of total logical block access.

  • The necessity of Information integration has emphasized by advancement of internet and change of enterprise environment. In enterprises, it usually integrates the multi-database constructing by M&A. For this integration of information it must guarantee interpretation and integration which is stabilized with solving heterogeneous characteristic problem. In this paper, we propose the method that change the global XML query to local XML query for interpretation. It is based on XMDR(eXtended Meta-Data Registry) which expresses the connection between the standard and the local for solve the interoperability problem in heterogeneous environment. Thus, we propose the legacy model that can search and modify by one Query with creating global XML Query by XMDR. and for his, we use the 2PC technique which is the distributed transaction control technique of existing.
