A Survey of Embedded Software Testing for Automotive Standard Platform (지능형 자동차용 임베디드 플랫폼 소프트웨어 테스팅 연구)

  • The number of electronic embedded software in vehicle system is ever increasing for years. As a result, the electronic control units have been growing dramatically, and it is required to mutual link between these units. Due to separate API each and every embedded platform, it is difficult to develop and integrate in automotive industry. The AUTOSAR project consists suppliers and manufacturers, and the partnership is a standardized platform to establish and develop an industry standard. On the previous works, we implemented the RTE generated module design based on AUTOSAR architecture. This paper specifically focuses on the testing of the development tool that generates RTE source code. The result satisfied a need for a RTE requirements and AUTOSAR methodology in a vehicle applications.

  • The modern battlefield is being developed as a network-centric warfare where priority is given to rapid status grasp and power deployment through scientification and modernization. Therefore, tactical data link has been continuously improving the network speed, and recently, security technology is required for wireless communication with the UAV and various devices for reconnaissance. In addition, the future information warfare will utilize advanced IT technology positively. Efforts are needed to integrate various systems and networks. However, these efforts are meaningful only when they can assume sufficient security in a newly changing information and communication environment. In this paper, we propose a new cryptographic synchronization for link encryption suitable for tactical data links. The proposed cryptographic synchronization is useful for T4 UAV link encryption, and it is also adaptable for lower BER, then we analyze the performances analysis of that.

  • Science and technology-related societies in the interior of a country sum up to approximately 660, and are increasing yearly, due to the development of new research fields and segmentation of past studies. Such societies are contributed with latest academic research information, and the submitted studies go through an review process before publication. A majority of the societies employ the traditional off-line review method; various problems and issues occur in delay of submission, review, revision, and management of the numerous paper submitted and published. Therefore, this study suggests the design of, and implemented an on-line paper review system which processes on-line submission and review of paper, facilitates swift and review progress, and enables efficient control and management on general tasks and academic information through integrated administration of members and published works.

  • As AIS AtoN has worked an essential role for aids to navigation, the World-wide IALA-Net has announced plans to build the system. Systematic beacon network may offer opportunities to make an infrastructure for information service and upgrade AtoN service performance. This paper proposes Aids to Navigation information service network for e-NAV. Network based on AIS is consist of AIS AtoN channels as Real, Synthetic or Virtual AIS AtoN. And inner network is consist of Wireless networks as AIS, WCDMA, WIFI, WIBRO, USN or VSAT. Introducing of various network systems can lead to combine and design aomong land, beacon and service network infrastructures.

  • In recent years, model-based design techniques have been used as a way to support cost reduction and safety certification in the development of avionics systems. In order to support performance analysis and safety analysis of aircraft and avionics equipment (item) using model based design, we developed a multi-domain simulation environment that inter-works with heterogeneous simulators. We present a multi-domain simulation environment that can verify air data computers and integrated multi-function probes at the aircraft level. The model was developed by Simulink and the flight simulator X-Plane 10 was used to verify the model at the aircraft level. Avionics model functions were tested at the aircraft level and the air data errors of the model and flight simulator were measured within 0.1%.

Feasibility Study of Improved Train Control System Using On-board Controller for Intelligent Control of Trackside Facilities (선로변 시설물의 지능적 제어를 위한 차상중심 열차제어시스템 시뮬레이션 기반 성능 평가)

  • To improve the efficiency and safety of railway systems, the train control system has considerably evolved from the ground-equipment-based control system (e.g. track circuit, interlocking system, etc.) into the on-board-equipment-based control system. In addition, this train control system enables the rolling stock to intelligently control the trackside facilities by introducing information and communication technologies (ICT). Accordingly, since the ICT-based train control system simplifies the railway system (i.e. the heavy ground-equipment can be removed), an efficient and cost-effective railway system can be realized. In this paper, we perform a feasibility test of the ICT-based train control system using a simulation. To this end, we implement a test-bed consisting of prototype machines of on-board/ground equipment and introduce an integrated operation scenario for the train control. The simulation results satisfy all the requirements of train operation according to the scenario and show the effectiveness of the proposed train control system.

  • Naval Ships have a number of requirements related to performance. Naval ship acquisition takes a long time from initial planning to delivery, and various products such as drawings and reports are created. In complex systems, such as naval ships, it is difficult to maintain the required traceability through these outputs. The basic design of the ship is an important step to determine the specifications, performance, and equipment of the ship. It is necessary to apply the systematic requirements management process. The basic design manages the requirements in accordance with the systems engineering-based technical review process, but the actual system architecture design process is not presented. The traceability between the requirements and the functional and physical architectures of components is unclear. This paper examined how to design the system architecture required for specification and system design, and the design results were verified using SE-based technical review process for requirements management. A step-by-step process for designing a submarine system architecture is presented and verified using the SE technical review. This facilitates the specification of the requirements and system architecture design, and supports traceability management and verification of the requirements. The proposed process can be applied in various ships including submarines.

Preliminary Field Trial of Improved Train Control System Using on-board Control (선로변 시설물 차상 제어를 위한 차상중심 열차제어시스템 예비 현장시험)

  • The railway signalling system for safe train operation regulates the train speed to ensure the safety distance between consecutive trains by using wayside facilities such as track circuits and interlocking systems. In addition, this signalling system controls the trackside equipment such as a railway point along the train line. This ground-equipment-based train control systems require high CAPEX and OPEX. To deal with these problems, the train control system using the on-board controller has been recently proposed and its related technologies have been widely studied. The on-board-controller-based train control system is that the on-board controller can directly control the trackside equipment on the train line. In addition, if this system is used, the wayside facilities can be simplified, and as a result, the efficient and cost-effective train control system can be realized. To this end, we have developed the prototypes of the on-board controller and wayside object control units which control the point and crossing gate and performed the integrated operation simulation in a testbed. In this paper, before the field test of the on-board-controller-based train control system, we perform the preliminary field trial including the installation test, wireless access test, interface test with other on-board devices, and normal operation test.

  • The 4S represents four systems that are commonly related to spatial information: GIS, GNSS, SIIS, ITS. The 4S technology that integrates the four systems gets more and more interests recently. In this paper, we adopt component paradigm to 4S system, apply it to the disaster control field, and design a system based on component architecture. There are many application areas to which the 4S technology can be applied. but the disaster control system is one of the most typical fields. We apply 4S technology to the disaster control fields, including fire, flood, and typhoon. Because of the characteristics of disaster control system that handles large-volume map data, component-based 4S system will take considerable effects on the improvement of disaster control works. The core functions that are common to all disaster control fields are included in 4S kernel component because of the consideration of time performance. Remaining non-common functions are implemented as separate components named as work-specific components. In our suggested system, a vehicle named as 4S-Van collects real-time information on the spot of disaster and sends image and location information to control center via wireless transmission. The control center analyzes the information together with its own spatial database or map, which was not possible in the conventional disaster control works. The control center can get desired information by sending a request of re-transmission to 4S-Van. Such method of real-time transmission supported by on-the-spot information makes the current situation judgment, decision making, and order issuance more exact, effective, and timely. The suggested system and method are expected to bring remarkable improvement on disaster control works.

  • 가정 내에서의 초고속망 이용이 활성화되면서 가정 내에서의 활동은 매우 다양하고 복잡하며 그에 따른 서비스도 여러 가지 형태가 존재한다. 외부 인터넷망과 연동되는 홈 네트워크의 개념이 생기기 전부터 흠 오토메이션, 홈시큐리티 등의 서비스를 제공하기 위한 고립적인 형태의 망과 서비스 제공 시스템이 있었다. 월드 와이드 웹 서비스를 기본으로 한 인터넷의 폭발적인 활성화와 고속 인터넷망의 확산에 따라 가정 내에서 제공되는 서비스를 인터넷과 연계시키려는 시도가 보편화되었고 가정 내에서 사용되는 독립적인 기기들을 인터넷에 연결하여, 외부의 정보를 이용해서 활용하거나, 가전내의 기기들을 외부에서 액세스할 수 있게 되었다. 이렇게 하여 보다 풍부한 서비스를 제공하고, 사용상의 시간적인 제약을 완화할 수 있다. 예들 들어 인터넷상에서 조리법을 전송받아 전자레인지를 작동할 수 있으며, 외부에서 잘못 켜둔 가스밸브를 잠글 수도 있다. 가정 내에서 wrhd되던 이러한 서비스들은 서로 다른 하드웨어와 통신방법을 사용하고 있어, 이러한 서비스를 통합하여 운영, 관리할 수 있도록 하는 흠 서버의 개념이 대두되었다. 외부 인터넷 망과 연계된 흠 오토메이션, 홈 시큐리티등을 제공할 수 있는 기반이 마련되었고, 가정 내에서 독립적으로 제공되던 서비스들을 단일 홈 서버를 통해서 관리하려는 시도가 진행되었다. 그러나 홈 서버는 개발하는 업체의 보유기술에 따라 중심기능은 약간씩 차이를 보이고 있다. 홈 서버 응용 영역은 전문 지식을 소유한 인력과의 연계가 필요하고, 다양한 서비스 영역 행위가 아주 복잡하기 때문에 이들을 연결해 주는 자치 시스템을 필요로 한다. 또한 홈 서버 서비스 영역에서 정보는 각 영역 전문가가 가진 지식의 전달을 필요로 하기 때문에, 지식을 주고받는 멀티 에이전트의 시스템의 활용 영역으로 적당하다. 멀티 에이전트 시스템은 분산된 환경에서 에이전트간에 에이전트 통신 언어를 사용해서 대화를 하기도 하고, 상호 협력하는 에이전트들로 구성된 시스템을 뜻하며 흠 서버처럼 동적이고 고도의 자치성을 요구하는 영역에 적당하다. 멀티 에이전트 플랫폼으로는 FIPA(Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agents)가 제시한 에이전트 표준 플랫폼이 1997년부터 2000년에 이르기까지, 계속적으로 변화, 발전하고 있다. 본 연구는 FIPA에서 제시하는 플랫폼을 기반으로 홈 서버에 정보가전을 제어하는 에이전트를 두고 외부에서 다른 에이전트가 홈 서버에 위치하는 에이전트와의 통신을 통하기 정보가전을 지능적으로 제어하도록 하였다. 정보가전 에이전트는 가정 내 가전제품을 외부에서 제어하기 위한 에이전트이다. 단순한 관리가 아닌 에이전트로 하여금 지능적으로 가전제품 관리를 하게 한다. 정보가전 에이전트는 홈 서버에서 작동하는 에이전트와 PDA에서 작동하는 에이전트로 구성된다. 정보가전 에이전트는 전력량, 수도 사용량 제어와 가전제품 제어 기능과 보안 관련 서비스를 제공한다. 두 에이전트는 FIPA에서 정의된 규격에 맞게 만들어지기 때문에 FIPA명세서를 따르는 다른 에이전트와 자유로운 통신이 가능하다.
