Effect of Change Management Capability in Real-Time Environment: An Information Orientation Perspective in Supply Chain Management (실시간 환경에서 변화관리의 영향에 관한 연구: 공급사슬망상의 정보역량관점에서)

  • SCM system is a strategic cooperative that organically integrates all supply chains to improve the performance of a company. For effective SCM system, emphasis is placed on securing long-term, mutual relationships and change management. The implementation of an SCM system is likely to introduce a wide range of changes in and across member organizations and these changes are likely to be met with scepticism and resistance by individuals and organizations in the chain. Thus, the success of an SCM system cannot be guaranteed without effective change management. And we adopted the concept of information orientation (IO) as our method to measure the performance of an SCM system through information quality and information sharing. Therefore, this study examined the influence of mutual, reciprocal relationships among change management on information capability through information quality and information Sharing. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, change management had a significant influence on information quality, information Sharing and information capability. Second, information quality had a significant influence on information Sharing and information capability. Third, information sharing had a significant influence on information capability.

A study on core competence of dental hygiene based on learning outcomes for establishing dental hygiene education evaluation and certification system (치위생학교육평가·인증체계 정립을 위한 학습성과기반 치위생 핵심역량에 관한 조사)

  • This study conducted to investigate the core competency of dental hygiene based on learning outcomes for establishing an educational evaluation and certification system for dental hygiene. The sub-categories of core competencies, the overall score of professional behavior and ethical decision-making ability (category 1) and the ability to apply scientific and professional clinical hygiene and knowledge and skills of clinical dental work (category 2) was highest. and the level of communication skills (category 3) was 4.48 points, and the level of evidence-based integrated thinking and problem solving skills (category 5) was 4.35 points. Furthermore, there was a strong correlation between the core competency sub-categories, and it is necessary to identify the core competency between health care service occupations and to qualitatively study the core competency of dental hygienists working in clinical practice.

  • What the structure of knowledge management capability (KMC) to improve the organizational performance is an important issue for researchers and practitioners with growing interest in recent years. In this paper, we begin with a deep thinking about the resource-based view and knowledge-based view of the firm applying to knowledge management issues. By exploring the two underlying theories of knowledge management, together with an intensive review and interpretation of existing literatures, we obtain six major dimensions of KMC. We then propose an integrated conceptual model of KMC and its relationship with organizational performance. A PLS analysis of the gathered data from organizations in Korea which already have enterprise-wide knowledge management systems is conducted to validate the proposed model. We discuss several meaningful implications and draw several insightful conclusions surrounding the KMC.

  • 지나친 학과 세분화의 부작용을 줄이고 대학 운영의 효율성을 높이기 위한 대안으로, 유사학과들을 통합할 때 학과를 존치하는 경우에는 학과군으로 하거나, 계열별 또는 학부 체제를 도입할 수 있다. 과거 한 때 잠시 계열화로 대학 입학생을 모집할 당시의 폐단으로 부상된 점을 보완하고, 장기적 안목을 갖게 된다면 실효를 기대할 수 있다. 첫째, 행정의 중복과 복잡성을 배제하여 간소화할 수 있다. 둘째, 교수의 강의 부담이 감소되고 강사 풀제도의 활용이 가능하다. 셋째, 대학의 연구 역량을 강화하여 협동연구, 공동연구, 학제간 연구 활성화를 꾀할 수 있다. 넷째, 전공선택 과목을 다양하게 제공할 수 있고, 전공선택이 쉬워진다. 다섯째, 실험실 공동이용이 가능하다. 이 과정에서 야기될 수 있는 역기능의 문제들은 장기적 안목으로 통합적 교육과정의 시각에서 검토되어야 할 것이다.

Development and Validation of Korean Youth Lifelong Learning Competency Indicators for Future Society (미래사회를 대비한 청소년의 생애학습역량지수 개발 및 타당화 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop indicators for assessing korean youth lifelong learning competency and to validate the structure of the competencies. To achieve this research aims, the indicators for assessing life-long learning competence were drawn by systemic literature review and they were validated and modified by expert review method and two surveys targeting youth. 28 youth experts participated in the expert review. Participants were 333 middle or high school students for the first survey and 791 middle or high school students for the second survey. As results, the 3 competencies and nine sub-competencies were developed: thinking(wholistic thinking, critical thinking, emotional thinking), intellectual tools use(language, mathematic and science, information and communication technology), learning adaptability(change capacity, intellectual curiosity, learning-direction). The results of this study will provide the fundamental guidelines for developing various activities and establishing youth policies related to korean youth life-long learning competency.

Teamwork Competency and Team Activity Experiences in Capstone Design Nursing Research Course (캡스톤 디자인 간호연구 수업의 팀워크역량과 팀활동 경험)

  • This triangulation study was performed in order to analyze the team competency effect of a capstone design nursing research course, and to appraise the content of team activity experiences. Subjects were 99 nursing students who were educated in the capstone design nursing research at D university. The teamwork competency of nursing students was compared before and after class, and the team activity experiences in the capstone design nursing research class was analyzed through narrative data. Our results show significant increases after class in task performance competency (t=-2.166, p=0.033), which includes goal execution competency (t=-2,224, p=0.028). In the interpersonal competency category, leadership was significantly increased after class (t=-2.085, p=0.040). The 5 categories evaluated were 'difficulties in managing resources', 'aware of the importance of personal effort and competency', 'efforts to effectively distribute roles', 'to realize the importance of communication', and 'strengthen the competency needed for clinical practice'. Through this research, we confirm that the capstone design nursing research course is effective for improving teamwork competency, and it provides a positive team activity experience to nursing students. Taken together, our findings indicate that the capstone design nursing research course can be applied to improve the nursing research competency by strengthening teamwork competency.

An Exploration of the Associations between the Features of Science Performance Assessments and PCK during High School Integrated Science Lessons (고등학교 통합과학 수행평가 사례를 통해 탐색한 교사의 수행평가 실천 특성과 PCK 사이의 관련성)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine whether and how the features of performance assessments implemented during integrated science classes are related to teachers' PCK. We observed and video recorded four high school teachers' performance assessment practices, interviewed them, and surveyed their PCK. An analysis of the data shows that the teachers' performance assessment practices differed in terms of assessment of process, diagnosis of student learning progress, feedback, degree of classroom interactions, and use of assessment criteria. In particular, the opportunities for students to participate in assessment actively and use of assessment for learning varied across teachers. Also, relational patterns among science teaching orientations, PCK and performance assessment practices were found. When a teacher aimed at teaching for both academic learning and scientific literacy, sophisticated PCK was shown and assessment practices were complex accordingly. When scientific literacy was emphasized PCK highlighted experiential learning and assessments were not clearly distinguished from learning activities. In contrast, when academic achievement was emphasized traditional teaching strategies and assessments were highlighted. Based on these findings a number of topics for professional development are suggested including strategies for students' active engagement in assessment, use and development of specific assessment criteria, strategies for assessing performance qualities, and intuitive assessment competency development. Further research topics are also suggested.

In Relation to Entrepreneurship and Export Performance of Small and Medium Manufacturing Firm, the Mediating Effect of Product Differentiation Capabilities (중소제조기업의 기업가정신과 수출성과 관계에서 제품차별화 역량의 매개효과)

  • This study examined the determinants of export performance of small and medium sized manufacturing companies in Korea. Depending on the existing research, taking entrepreneurship and product differentiation capabilities as antecedents of export performance. In addition, the product differentiation capabilities examined whether the role of the mediating effects between entrepreneurship and export performance. Thus, the purpose of the study is look at the integrated model of entrepreneurship, product differentiation capabilities and export performance building and their relationship. On 152 domestic companies, empirical analysis was performed. Empirical analysis was conducted using the PLS(Partial Least Square). And analysis tools were used SmartPLS2.0. In the results of the analysis, risk tolerance and innovativeness of small and medium sized manufacturing businesses, entrepreneurs and product differentiation competence have positive impact export performance in both. Product differentiation capabilities also confirmed that it have a positive impact on the export performance of small manufacturing export enterprises. In analysis of the mediated effect in product differentiation capacity showed a significant mediated effect between innovativeness and export performance. But mediated effects did not indicate a significant risk tolerance. these results suggests the need to actively pursue innovation that more product differentiation capabilities required in export companies to small and medium-sized manufacturing. In other words, when attempting to highlight product differentiation, based on innovation, rather than risk tolerance. In terms of analyzing the mediated role of product differentiation capabilities, this study has theoretical implications for the future research to look at the antecedents of export performance from the perspective of dynamic capabilities and competitive advantage. Also, practical implications in this regard as the innovativeness and taking risks to all important to CEO of small manufacturing enterprises but, stranger in the foreign market competition environment, the role of innovation product is required on raising product differentiation capabilities are presented.

  • The increasing complexity of business and social settings bas lead to innovation becoming a strategic imperative. The need for innovation in the quest for competitive advantage also means that firms must be dynamic and flexible. This is often achieved through collaborative arrangements such as strategic alliances or strategic network Many organizations form alliances by leveraging their resources to gain access to the partner's skills and capabilities; ultimately to enhance innovation and performance. We demonstrate empirically that the "chain of innovation" is central to the process of innovation in global alliances. This chain comprises the creativity and learning processes and knowledge stock in alliances. Our empirical analysis is based on a survey of alliances that resulted in 114 responses. For management, this research bas significant potential in guiding attention to the chain of innovation, to better manage the overall process of innovation in alliances. Our work shows that more effective creativity and learning processes and a greater knowledge stock lead to a more effective alliance innovation process. Managers therefore, need to concentrate on creating environments wherein the processes of creativity and learning are fostered, increasing the alliance knowledge stock and in turn, increasing innovative output via an effective innovation process.
