The newly adopted Korea Geodetic Datum (a.k.a. KGD2002) calls for massive reengineering work on geospatial dataset. The main focus of our study is placed on the strategy and system implementations of the required data reengineering with a keen attention to integrated approaches to interoperability, standardization, and database utilization. Our reengineering strategy includes file-to-file, file-to-DB, DB-to-file, and DB-to-DB conversion for the coordinate transformation of KGD2002. In addition to the map formats of existing standards such as DXF and Shapefile, the newly recommended standards such as GML and SVG are also accommodated in our reengineering environment. These four types of standard format may be imported into and exported from spatial database via KGD2002 transformation component. The DB-to-DB conversion, in particular, includes not only intra-database conversion but also inter-database conversion between SDE/Oracle and Oracle Spatial. All these implementations were carried out in multiple computing environments: desktop and the Web. The feasibility test of our system shows that the coordinate differences between Bessel and GRS80 ellipsoid agree with the criteria presented in the existing researches.
Recently the use of whispered speech has increased due to mobile phone and the necessity of whispered speech recognition is increasing. So various feature vectors, which are mainly used for speech recognition, are applied to their HMMs, normal speech models, whispered speech models, and integrated models with normal speech and whispered speech so as to find out suitable recognition system for whispered speech. The experimental results of recognition test show that the recognition rate of whispered speech applied to normal speech models is too low to be used in practical applications, but separate whispered speech models recognize whispered speech with the highest rates at least 85%. And also integrated models with normal speech and whispered speech score acceptable recognition rate but more study is needed to increase recognition rate. MFCE and PLCC feature vectors score higher recognition rate when applied to separate whispered speech models, but PLCC is the best when a lied to integrated models with normal speech and whispered speech.
KOMPSAT (Korean Multi-Purpose Satellite) is a Low-Earth-Orbit (LEO) satellite under development in Korea. Its performance has been steadily improving. At this time, power demand of the payload increased according to performance improvement of the payload. Accordingly, design of the satellite, such as design of the internal power supply device and the configuration of the solar array, was changed. Thus, many considerations are required according to an increase in power when designing power EGSE (Electric Ground Support Equipment) for supplying power to satellites and conduct satellite integration tests. This paper deals with matters to be considered when designing power EGSE according to changes in satellite power requirements according to payloads and increase in power requirements.

For that reason, more and more growing of the internet speed, many kind of the multimedia as if the voice, a letter, a photograph, a moving picture are appearance and integration of the internet as if the wireless internet, the CATV, a satellite is forming. Today, many changes in the communication environment are occurrence. therefore a demands of the user keep up increase. so, in this paper, we developed the SOHO IP-PBX embedded which can automatically exchange the call. the developed IP-PBX have many functions as if the exchange call function, the gateway function, the PSTN backup function, the FAX function, the VPN function, etc. and verified it by an experiment on the rules in KT.

A finite element analysis scheme is proposed to assess the dynamic response due to impulse excitation of ocean mining pipe system. Transient dynamic response analysis based on the proposed scheme was carried out for various types of impulses, and the magnitude of cable tension induced by impulse was discussed by using a model of 'Segero', a special purpose ship of KT-Submarine as well as ROV carrier 'Onnuri' A qualitative, prospective guideline for the relevant marine operation is obtained.

Exchanging sheets for patients is one of the worst and one of the factors that makes the nursing environment difficult. Many beds with various functions for the patient have already been developed, but there is no device for automatically changing the sheets. In this study, we developed and tested the first automatic sheet changer for a medical bed and verified its performance. The developed automatic seat changer uses a torque limiter to properly adjust tension and exchange a dirty sheet and a new seat at the same time. The designed automatic sheet changer was experimentally confirmed to be properly operated and installed in a integrated multi-functional bed with bed sores prevention and automatic patient transfer functions.
In modern-war campaign, precision-guided missiles are dominantly used to minimize the collateral damage. Imaging infrared seekers are widely applied for the precise guidance. Due to the high cost of the infrared detector, the cost for the one-shot weapon's test is a burden for the development. To reduce the test cost, a simulation method including imagery tracking is required, which is so-called integrated-flight simulation(IFS). The synthetic image generation(SIG)-based simulation method is typically used, which however cannot represent various environmental and target conditions. In this paper, a new IFS method is proposed using on-sight measured image to overcome the limitations of the SIG-based IFS(SIIFS). The target image acquired at the launching sight has been used only for checking the performance criteria of the image tracker and has not been tried for IFS since it has low resolution and little information. The study described in this paper, however, shows that the on-sight image-based IFS can predict the pre- and mid-course flight performance quite similarly and is very useful for the flight test analysis.
In this study, the applicability of the microseismic monitoring system based on the underground mine communication system has been verified by operation test in the domestic underground mine. The microseismic data consists of wavelet data and meta-data for mine safety management, and both data should be transferred, stored, analyzed and managed with proper method according to the purpose and size of each data. In order to select the optimal communication system for the microseismic monitoring system considering the underground environment as well as properties of data, various types of communication system have been tested and compared during operation test after installing the optical cable communication system, 2.4 GHz and 900 MHz wireless communication system through the underground mine tunnel and overground area of the test site. The integrated microseismic monitoring software, which was developed to secure the stability of data management and ease of use, has been updated according to findings from operation test. Through the operation test of the microseismic monitoring system including the communication system and the monitoring software, the technical basis was established corresponding to various requirements of the domestic mine for adoption of the microseismic monitoring system.

We present a structure and design method of the D8PSK modem compatible with the VDL mode-2 standard and performance test results of the developed modem. In VDL mode-2, the raised cosine filter is used only in the transmitter and a general low pass filter is used in the receiver. Consequently, we can not achieve ISI reduction but can have better spectrum characteristics. Although there is 1~2 dB performance degradation with an un-matched filter compared to that with a matched filter, it is more important to minimize adjacent channel interference in narrow band communications. The transmit signal is generated digitally to avoid the problems(I/Q imbalance and DC offset etc.) of analog modulators. In addition the digital down converter using digital IF sampling technique is adopted for the receiver. This paper contains the overall configuration, design method and simulation results based in part on the previously proposed structures and algorithms. It is confirmed that the modem transmits and receives messages successfully at a speed of max. 870 km/h over ranges of up to 310 km through the ground and in-flight communication tests.
In the correlation formulas related to consolidation proposed at present, the analyzed areas are limited to certain overseas or domestic areas and in order to increase the number of data, experimental data of different areas are integrated and therefore in many cases application is difficult. In addition, models have been developed without clear statistic evaluation of the obtained data. Accordingly, this study divided the soft areas of the west coast into Hangang, Kumgang and Yeongsangang in order to maximally reduce uncertainty of the experimental data and performed normality test and regression analysis on the physical and dynamic characteristics. According to the analysis result, the compression index and the modified compression index had strong linearity and in all areas modified compression index and initial void ratio had closest correlation, followed by total unit weight, water contents and liquid limits. As for overconsolidation ratio with depth, the width of overconsolidation ratio was large when the depth was less than 5 to 6 m in all areas and when the depth was over 5 to 6 m, the ratio was constant.
