A Prediction of Change on the Body Style Proportion of the Future Passenger Cars (향후의 승용차 차체 스타일 비례의 변화 예측)

  • The body proportion of a passenger car has been changed by the demand of consumer and the market. Now the interior space proportion on a passenger car become to have the importance as the passenger space and this proportion has been changed as the new models have been developed. It didn't seems to had a unified direction or strategy in the dimensions of the domestic passenger cars on the early models, but they had a specific changes in dimensions on the later models. The proportion of the wheelbase and greenhouse can be calculated into as about 58% and 57% on the compact and sub-compact passenger cars while it is about 56% on mid-size sedan type passenger cars for thier 3-box structure body concept. The overrall proportion of the interior space is bigger on the compact and the sub-compact passenger cars than the mid-size passenger cars as the calculation shows. It can be concluded that the interior space proportion on the compact passenger cars would become larger, which is closed to 60%. And this trend would be appear on the mid-size passenger cars.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the visual landscape modelling on Josun royal tombs and surrounding. The visual landscape of traditional heritage is illustrated by the main view points of analysis. This analysis examines limited view points and cannot reflect a reality of environments. Nowadays various equipments and methodologies are developed for the visual landscape research. This study used new tools for analysis which are Sketch up (3D simulation) and mini helicopter (UAV). With those tools, this research examines not only view points of the analysis but also axis views and disincentive environments as a complex analysis. First of all, the research examined 3D modelling for the virtual simulation and drew coordinates and routes for the UAV operating. Secondly, UAV followed this routes and took linear and continuous views that are real scenes. As a result, it drew 3D simulation could illustrate and control the changing of environments such as the forest density and seasonal variations. Thus, comparing both of them shows efficiently landscape analysis. Thirdly, the study compared virtual and real landscape. Using this 3D modelling, this paper able to elaborate heritage environment and surrounding which omitted by view point analysis. Although this study has limitation practice and exercise on the field, the results and suggestions contribute to the various historic heritage managements and conservations. Moreover, it helps to explain the complex and dimensional landscape analysis.

  • In this paper we study on an interface connection between spatial operators and temporal operators to support the unified operations for spationtemporal data. The integration development of the spatiotemporal operations will be defined as a common use of spatiotemporal relationship operators by spatiotemporal referencing macros. additionally we propose an integration algorithm of a history operator and temporal relationship operators. Then the proposed system will be implemented on the commercial GIS software and evaluated by examples of spatiotemporal query expressions. Here, our integration of spatial and temporal operators will provide spatiotemporal query expressions with a useful framework.

  • What is a role of the studies on spatial planning of Korean peninsular and its cities in the process of cooperation between and unification of South and North Korea? Where should the basic perspectives be oriented for the process? Can a comprehensive plan of North Korea have practical implications although South-North cooperation does not get into its stride? If it can, which contents should the plan cover? This study aims to contemplate these issues and to suggest a preliminary land development approach of North Korea, which would contribute academic and practical debates on the issues, at this juncture of the cascade of studies on spatial planning in North Korea. It assume South-North relation would evolve from 'reconciliation and cooperation' and 'confederation' into 'unification' of South and North Korea which is based on the official plan of South Korea. We suggest, as the basic perspectives of development approach, cooperation(or co-evolution), future-oriented sustainability, and parallel development of industry and physical infrastructure. The development potential of North Korea is explained by detail fields and sub-regions, which is used to analyse SWOT and to subsequently extract the basic directions(vision and strategies) of North Korea development. These directions are followed by the spatial structure plan to improve North Korea using the potential of the regions. Based on the plan, the development directions of detail fields are suggested.

  • 수공구조물의 설계시 확률강우강도와 홍수유출량의 정확한 산정은 경제성 및 안전성과 관련되어 필수인 과정이다. 현재 확률강우강도의 산정은 한국건설기술연구원에서 제시한 확률강우량도를 사용하고 있으나, 설계자의 주관에 따른 오차 발생의 소지가 있고 수치모의시 수작업에 따른 불리함과 지속기간에 따른 강우강도의 일관성 결여 등 공학적으로 불리하다. 본고에서는 시간적(재현기간별) 공간적으로 형식의 통일과 표준화를 기하고 공학적 사용의 편리를 위하여 단순한 형태의 일반형 확률강우강도식을 개발하여 암거설계의 편리를 도모다. 또한 기존 암거설계법을 재검토하여 미흡한 부분을 보완하였다.

  • 웹 브라우저로 쉽게 접근 할 수 있는, VRML과 XML을 이용한 X3D(Extensible 3D)구조를 통해 가상공간에서 인간의 움직임에 대한 체험을 하도록 하는 Humanoid를 생성해 사용자와 상호 작용할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 즉 X3D의 특징, X3D를 이용하여 컴퓨터 그래픽스의 화려한 영상이 사실처럼 보이는 기술인 반사효과(Reflection), 실시간 디스플레이(Compression & Reduce), 대화식의 상호작용(Interaction)통의 Web3D 기반 3D 그래픽 표현에 대한 알고리즘을 제안하고 검증할 것이다.

  • 뉴스 분류 체계는 각각의 기사에 정치, 경제, 사회 등 가장 적합한 주제별로 분류하는 것으로 언론사별 분류 체계는 통일성이 없이 전혀 다르게 구성되어 사용하고 있다. 이로 인해 방대한 콘텐트를 통합하는데 많은 어려움이 있으며, 그만큼 시스템과 인력에 대해 중복 투자가 되고 있다. 이런 문제점을 개선하기 위해 국제 표준인 NewsML에 기반한 뉴스 분류에 대해 제안한다. NewsML은 XML 기반의 유연성과 확장성이 있는 구조적인 표준 형식으로 다양한 데이터 표현이 가능하여 자동 문서 범주화에 필요한 중요한 자질 선택이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 NewsML 형식으로 되어 있는 뉴스와 그렇지 않은 뉴스를 구분하여 자동 분류에 대한 비교 실험을 한다. NewsML의 구조화된 정보를 활용한 실험이 뉴스의 제목과 본문만으로 실험한 결과보다 좋은 성능을 보여 주었으며, 그 중에서 자질 공간이 아주 큰 경우에 유용하고 문서 분류에 효과가 뛰어난 지지 벡터 기계 모델이 가장 좋은 성능을 보였다.

Economical aessesment of long tunnel route complex geological formations (복잡한 지질구조암반층에서의 장대터널노선 선정을 위한 경제성 평가에 대한 연구)

  • A new railway line of about 17km length was planned between Dongbaeksan and the neighboring town Dokye to improve the existing decrepit railway system. New line about 17km of the distance will almost be in circular alignment tunnels owing to the difference of elevation about 380m. Since the geology of the area is rather unusual compared to the normal in South Korea, extensive geological investigations have been carried out to prepare geological maps and profiles along the planned tunnel routes. The tunnel will almost be in sedimentary rock formations, such as limestone, sandstone, shale, coal etc and be near abandoned mines Various rock formations have the complicated, alter ed those rocks, but are well developed with laminated formations. Each rock formations have been classified using the Q-system and the cost of tunnel excavation, support has been estimated and compared for three alternative routes in the design stage. Based on these estimates, the final route of t he railway line was chosen.

Travel Patterns of Transit Users in the Metropolitan Seoul (서울시 대중교통 이용자의 통행패턴 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the spatial characteristics of travel patterns and travel behaviors of transit users in the Metropolitan Seoul area. We apply the data mining techniques to explore the travel patterns of transit users from the T-money card database which has been produced over 10,000,000 transaction records per day. The database contains the information of locations and times of origin, transfer, and destination points for each transaction as well as the informations of transit modes taken via the transaction. We develop an data mining algorithm to explore traversal patterns from the enormous information. The algorithm determines the travel sequences of each passenger, and produce the volumes of support on each points (stops) of transportation networks in the Metropolitan Seoul area. In order to visualize the spatial patterns of travel demands for transit systems we apply GIS techniques, and attempt to investigate the spatial characteristics of travel patterns and travel demand. Subway stops located in the Gangnam area appear the highest peak for the travel origin and destination, while the CBD in the Gangbuk stands at the second position. Two or three sub-peaks appear at the densely populated residential areas developed as the high-rise apartment complex. Subway stations located along the Subway Line 2, especially from Guro to Samsung receive heavy travel demand (total support), while bus stops located at the CBD in the Gangbuk stands the highest travel demand by bus.
