Safety device design for preventing pedestrian accidents (보행자 교통사고 예방용 거리측정 및 무선 전송장치 설계)

  • In spite of the recent enforcement of policies to reduce traffic accidents, pedestrian safety accidents on the back road continue to occur. In this paper, we propose a device design to prevent traffic accidents capable of measuring distance and wireless communication to quickly notify pedestrians of the vehicle's approach in a safety blind spot. The accuracy of vehicle and pedestrian distance measurement was tested using ultrasonic and radar sensors with a wide sensing range, and the possibility of responding to accidents that could provide safety for pedestrians in emergency situations was verified through a wireless communication connectivity test between target boards.

  • 노변통신 방식은 ITS시스템에서 매우 중요한 역할을 수행하며 주로 DSRC라는 명칭으로 개발되었고, 최근에 CALM(Communications Air-interface Long and Medium Range)라고 하여 좀 더 긴 통신거리의 방식이 논의되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 세계의 주요 DSRC 통신 규격과 주파수 분배 현황에 대해서 기술하고 있다.

  • 최근 차량통신 환경에서의 위성/지상파 DMB 등 차량통신에 대한 관심이 증대되고, 전 세계적으로 기술개발이 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 그러나 좁고 긴 도로 내에 차량이 수시로 들락거려 일정한 통신 구심점을 찾는 것이 쉽지 않고, 빠르게 이동하는 차량의 특성으로 채널 특성이 좋지않 으며, 차량통신을 위한 인프라가 충분히 설치되지 않을 경우 V2I 통신의 어려움 등이 문제점으로 지적될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 차량통신 네트워크의 효율적 운용을 위한 적응적 클러스터링(Clustering) 기법을 제안하도록 한다. 제안된 적응적 클러스터링 방법에서는 차량의 속도, 위치, 차량 간 거리에 의하여 수시로 클러스터가 적응적으로 재구성된다. 이를 위해 효율적인 클러스터해드 설정이 이루어지며, 차량통신 인프라, 클러스터해드를 중심으로 통신이 이루어진다. 제안된 기법은 제한된 인프라에서도 이중 홉 통신 및 적응적 클러스터 재구성을 통하여 차량의 네트워크 연결성을 높인다. 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통하여 적응적 클러스터링 방법의 성능을 알아보도록 한다. 모의실험을 통하여 빠른 속도로 움직이는 차량의 네트워크 접근성을 확인하고, 차량 밀도 및 인프라 간 거리에 따른 성능변화를 확인한다.

  • The track radar use the range track loop to track the target range. The bandwidth of the radar range tracker can be determined by tradeoff according to signal to noise ratio and the target range. On the other hand, electronic warfare is carried out to prevent the radar from tracking targets by electronic attack. The deception or noise jamming in electronic warfare can be performed to interfere with the range track loop of the radar. In order to efficiently perform electronic warfare, the bandwidth in radar tracking loop is estimated and can be used for electronic attack. To do this, we have studied the method of estimating the bandwidth of radar tracking loop using the variables that can be gathered in electronic warfare.

Minimum Distance Search Algorithms of LDPC Codes and RA Codes (LDPC 부호와 RA 부호의 최소 거리 검색 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we reduce the computational complexity to find the minimum distance of RA codes by searching only valid codewords using repetition part. Since LDPC codes have repetition part like RA codes, we also apply this algorithm for computing the minimum distance of LDPC codes. The minimum distance dominates the code performance at high signal-to-noise ratios(SNRs) and in turn allows an estimate of the error floor. The proposed algorithm computes the minimum distance without any constraint on code structures. The minimum distances of LDPC codes and RA codes with large interleavers of practical importance are computed and used to obtain the error floor, which is compared with the performance of the iterative decoding.

  • Range-based real time localization systems require superior localization techniques as well as accurate ranging algorithms for better performance. To evaluate the ranging accuracy between two nodes in practical environments, this paper does not only present a qualitative analysis by computing a distance equation under SDS-TWR measurement model of no symmetry assumption, but also executes a quantitative evaluation by doing experiments after building up a test network employing the developed sensor node. Experimental results show that the ranging accuracy of the proposed implementation of IEEE 802.15.4a software stack is superior with smaller average error rate by 60% to one of the commercial Nanotron's reference development kit.

  • In this paper, we introduce a Y/T(Yard Tractor) Multi-Cycle System on the basis of RTLS that improves a low efficient loading and unloading. In the proposed approach, we apply the best suited algorithm looking for seeking of the optimum path and the shortest movement distance. In this paper, Our experiment results show that rate of a driving distance is reduced more than 12% compared to the average value, and that is reduced more than 23% compared to the maximum value.

  • 가시광통신은 조명용 LED를 사용하여 자유공간을 통하여 광신호를 직접 전송하는 무선광통신 방식의 일종으로서 하나의 광원으로 조명과 통신을 겸할 수 있는 장점이 있으나 전송구간이 가시거리로 제한되는 한계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 한계를 극복하고자 가시광통신 구간 사이에 전력선통신을 이용하여 가시거리 구간 밖으로 가시광통신의 전송범위를 확장하였다. 이러한 구조는 가시광 통신 구간을 넓혀주는 효과가 있어 실내의 LED 조명을 이용한 가시광통신 시스템을 신설하거나 확장하는 경우에 많이 활용할 수 있다.

  • This paper proposes a ranging and communicating system that uses the UWB frequency slope modulated chirp signal. Instead of using only the up-chirp and down-chirp with the same frequency sweeping rate, the proposed system uses several chirps that have different frequency sweeping rates with frequency hopping. This system performs better than the conventional communication and ranging schemes because it is capable of increasing the data transmission rate and at the same time decreasing the interference between sequences used by users. In this paper, we propose simulations of UWB communication system to show validity by using the MATLAB.
