Topic change monitoring study based on Blue House national petition using a control chart (관리도를 활용한 국민청원 토픽 모니터링 연구)

  • Recently, as text data through online channels have become vast, there is a growing interest in research that summarizes and analyzes them. One of the fundamental analyses of text data is to extract potential topics. Although the researcher may read all the data and summarize the contents one by one, it is not easy to deal with large amounts of data. Blei and Lafferty (2007) and Blei et al. (2003) proposed topic modeling methods for extracting topics using a statistical model. Since the text data is generally collected over time, it is worthwhile to monitor the topic's changes. In this study, we propose a topic index based on the results of the topic model. In addition, a control chart, a representative tool for statistical process management, is applied to monitor the topic index over time. As a practical example, we use text data collected from Blue House National Petition boards between March 5, 2018, and March 5, 2020.

  • 본 논문은 씬 서버들을 클러스터로 구성한 서비스 서버들의 모니터링 항목 값을 인터넷으로 연결된 모니터링 서버에서 수집할 수 있는 모니터링 시스템을 구성한다. 본 시스템은 MS .NET 플랫폼에서 제공하는 성능 모니터 클래스를 사용하여 구현하였으며, 일반적인 모니터링 시스템과 달리 토픽기반 메시지 처리기를 사용하여 다양한 클라이언트의 요구에 적절히 대응할 수 있고, 지역 네트워크뿐만 아니라 인터넷으로 연결된 원격 네트워크의 클라이언트로 수집된 모니터링 항목 값을 전송할 수 있다.

Implementation of IoT Home System based on MQTT (MQTT 기반 IoT 홈 시스템 구현)

  • In this paper, we implemented a home IoT system based on MQTT protocol. In this system, data are collected from sensors in real time and transmitted to the server system. Based on collected data, home devices could be controlled automatically or manually. By using the MQTT protocol, we were able to see the data values of sensors collected in real time according to the topic setting. We implemented a system that automatically sets up home devices based on topic data, and it worked. The system is expected to be useful in applications that require monitoring and tracking of data in real time.

User Experience Evaluation of Menstrual Cycle Measurement Application Using Text Mining Analysis Techniques (텍스트 마이닝 분석 기법을 활용한 월경주기측정 애플리케이션 사용자 경험 평가)

  • This study conducted user experience evaluation by introducing various text mining techniques along with topic modeling techniques for mobile menstrual cycle measurement applications that are closely related to women's health and analyzed the results by combining them with a honeycomb model. To evaluate the user experience revealed in the menstrual cycle measurement application review, 47,117 Korean reviews of the menstrual cycle measurement application were collected. Topic modeling analysis was conducted to confirm the overall discourse on the user experience revealed in the review, and text network analysis was conducted to confirm the specific experience of each topic. In addition, sentimental analysis was conducted to understand the emotional experience of users. Based on this, the development strategy of the menstrual cycle measurement application was presented in terms of accuracy, design, monitoring, data management, and user management. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the accuracy and monitoring function of the menstrual cycle measurement of the application should be improved, and it was observed that various design attempts were required. In addition, the necessity of supplementing personal information and the user's biometric data management method was also confirmed. By exploring the user experience (UX) of the menstrual cycle measurement application in-depth, this study revealed various factors experienced by users and suggested practical improvements to provide a better experience. It is also significant in that it presents a methodology by combines topic modeling and text network analysis techniques so that researchers can closely grasp vast amounts of review data in the process of evaluating user experiences.

A Study on the Development of Topic Map for Analysis of Customer Satisfaction in Tourism Industry (관광산업의 고객만족도 분석을 위한 토픽맵 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The domestic tourism industry mostly relies on quantitative surveys for customer satisfaction. However, customer participation of the questionnaires is extremely low and the improvement of the dissatisfactory factors is not being performed promptly. In this paper, we propose a new topic map system and prove its empirical effectiveness to improve the accuracy of customer feedback information and the efficiency of the analysis process. The topic map system is a system for analyzing large amounts of customer feedback data in real time. It uses text mining and ontology techniques by integrating data collected over a certain period from real-time SNS and quantitative data obtained from existing survey systems. The effect after improving the analyzed factors of dissatisfaction is also a new and innovative evaluation system for monitoring customer satisfaction in real time. The classification based on this integrated data is a classification system that is specific to the product or the customer. According to this classification, it is possible to measure the effect of the recognition and improvement of the complaint factor in real time on the topic map system. This provides a sophisticated prioritization of the improvement factors and enables customer satisfaction quality control as a PDCA feedback system. In addition, the survey period and costs are greatly shortened, and responses can be more precise to the existing survey method. As a practical application, this system is applied to the largest H travel agency in Korea to prove the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed system.

A Study on the Role of Private-led Information Provision: Case of COVID-19 Pandemic (코로나19 팬데믹 상황에서 살펴본 민간 주도 정보제공의 역할 분석)

  • With the global pandemic of COVID-19, it is pointed out that exposure to false information to the public could cause serious problems. However, in pandemic situations, there is also an positive effect for the public to share private-led information rather than centralized unilateral delivery of information. This study analyzes the role of private-led information provision in infectious disease situations. To this end, topic modeling and sentiment analysis is carried out on online reviews of all COVID-19-related applications in Google Playstore provided by the Korean government and the private. The results showed that the user's evaluation of private apps, which were used from the early stage of COVID-19, was much higher than the apps provided by the government. In particular, users responded more positively to private apps than government apps in all aspects such as reliability of information, risk avoidance, timeliness, usefulness, and stability. Based on these results, a post-monitoring system is recommended rather than a pre-block of all private apps.

Monitoring Augmented Reality Technology Using Topic Modeling of Patents (특허의 토픽 모델링을 활용한 증강현실 기술 모니터링)

  • Augmented reality (AR), which is a live direct or indirect view of a real-world environment combined with virtual objects, has grown rapidly owing to its wide application potential. Despite the growth of AR technology and its increased attraction, however, little attention has been paid to identifying sub-technologies of this technology and their evolving trends based on the data encompassing industrial competition. In the present study, therefore we collect AR-related patents granted until 2015 and then identify technology topics constituting AR technology by applying topic modeling to the patents' textual data. Subsequently, this study determines dynamic evolving trends with respect to those identified technology topics using indicators and maps based on the technology topics' patents and citations. The contributions of this study are twofold; it provides an overall understanding of AR technology's evolving trends based on text mining of AR patents and will assist technology experts in academia and industry in determining further R&D in the near future.

Analysis of Global Entrepreneurship Trends Due to COVID-19: Focusing on Crunchbase (Covid-19에 따른 글로벌 창업 트렌드 분석: Crunchbase를 중심으로)

  • Due to the unprecedented worldwide pandemic of the new Covid-19 infection, business trends of companies have changed significantly. Therefore, it is strongly required to monitor the rapid changes of innovation trends to design and plan future businesses. Since the pandemic, many studies have attempted to analyze business changes, but they are limited to specific industries and are insufficient in terms of data objectivity. In response, this study aims to analyze business trends after Covid-19 using Crunchbase, a global startup data. The data is collected and preprocessed every two years from 2018 to 2021 to compare the business trends. To capture the major trends, a network analysis is conducted for the industry groups and industry information based on the co-occurrence. To analyze the minor trends, LDA-based topic modelling and word2vec-based clustering is used. As a result, e-commerce, education, delivery, game and entertainment industries are promising based on their technological advances, showing extension and diversification of industry boundaries as well as digitalization and servitization of business contents. This study is expected to help venture capitalists and entrepreneurs to understand the rapid changes under the impact of Covid-19 and to make right decisions for the future.
