Magnetostriction and Magnetic Anisotropy Measurement Using High Efficiency Small EIectromagnet (고능률 소형 전자석에 의한 자왜 및 자기이방성 측정)

  • A high efficiency small electromagnet (22 mm air gap and $40{\times}25mm^{2}$ core's cross section) suitable for measuring magnetostriction and magnetic anisotropy was biult. The magnet could be minaturized by reducing the measuring space and time. The excitation current of the electromagnet was supplied for only a few second of measuring time. Cooling system of the electromagnet could be eliminated since the dissipation energy was very small. An 0.5 T magnetic field was generated with 180 W power consumption. The values of magnetostriction and magnetic anisotropy were measured with a very sensitive capacitance cell with resolution of $10^{-8}$ and 1 nJ. The torque was calibrated using a soft magnetic ribbon's shape anisotropy.

  • 본 논문은 원자력 발전소의 안전에 있어 매우 큰 비중을 차지하는 모터 구동밸브(Motor-operated valve : MOV)의 성능진단에 직접 센서를 장착하지 않고 전기신호만을 이용하여 성능진단의 가능성을 보이기 위한 것이다. 모터 토크를 계산하기 위한 두 가지 방법으로서 D-Q frame 변환 방법과 Air-Gap 토크 식을 제시하였고, 계산된 두 토크 값은 정확하게 일치하였다. 부하를 변동하면서 토크미터로 측정된 토크 갑과는 1%의 오차범위 내에서 일치함을 확인했다. 따라서 두 토크 식은 모터구동 밸브의 성능진단을 위한 식으로 사용해도 좋다는 결론을 얻어낼 수 있었다. 계산된 토크를 주파수 분석함으로서 부하의 변동에 따라서 슬립 및 모터속도 주파수가 변화됨을 알 수 있었다. 즉 주파수 분석을 통해 MOV의 모터 및 구동기 부분의 성능 저하 감시에 유용한 단서를 제공해 줄 것이다. 결과적으로, MOV에서 전기신호의 분석은 시스템의 전기 및 기계적인 성능 저하 감시에 이용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Measurement of Friction Angle of Sand from Horizontal Stress and Torque Acting on Vane (베인에 작용하는 수평응력과 토크를 이용한 모래의 마찰각 측정)

  • In this study, the torque and horizontal stress acting on vane were measured and then used to determine a friction angle of sand. A dry Nakdong River sand was prepared for loose and dense conditions in a cell and then pressurized with 25, 50, 75 or 100 kPa from the surface of sand. A vane (5cm in diameter and 10cm in height) was rotated and the torque and horizontal stress were measured at real time. A maximum torque was 3.5-9.5Nm for loose sand and 7.4-17.6Nm for dense sand, respectively. The maximum torque increased as an overburden pressure increased. The maximum torque obtained at 14-20 degrees of vane rotation, which was not influenced by the initial alignment of earth pressure and vane blade. An initial horizontal stress ratio was 0.33-0.35 on the average. The horizontal stress increased initially and then decreased due to particle disturbance. A friction angle was calculated from real time varying horizontal stress and torque, which decreased with increasing overburden pressure. The friction angle of loose sand from vane shear test was similar to that of direct shear test but that of dense sand was overestimated.

  • 매입형 영구자석 동기전동기는 강건한 회전자 구조와 릴럭턴스 토크를 사용할 수 있다는 점, 악계자 제어를 하기 쉽다는 점에서 넓은 속도와 토크를 필요로하는 하이브리드 차량이나 전기 차량에 적합한 전동기이다. 영구자석의 감자곡선은 온도에도 의존하기 때문에 온도에 따라 전동기의 자속과 토크가 변하게 된다. 이 논문은 전기 스쿠터에 사용되는 매입형 영구자석 동기전동기의 온도에 따른 지령 전류 보정에 의한 제어법에 대해 연구하였다. 토크 리플을 줄이기 위해서 속도-토크 곡선과 감자곡선을 이용하여 구하였으며, 보정된 지령 전류를 구하기 위해 Lagrange 보간법과 재귀 최소자승(Recursive Least Square : RLS) 법을사용하여 전류맵을 만들었다.이 지령 전류는 토크와 인버터 출력 전류값을 계산하는데 사용된다. 전류맵을 만들기 위해서 측정한 온도는 20, 80, 100도이다. 본 논문에서 제안한 제어법을 이용하여 토크 리플이 줄어듬을 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해서 확인할 수 있었다.

Differences in percussion-type measurements of implant stability according to height of healing abutments and measurement angle (임플란트 healing abutment 높이와 타진각도에 따른 타진방식 임플란트 안정성 측정기기의 수치 차이)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of healing abutment height and measurement angle on implant stability when using Periotest and AnyCheck. Materials and methods: 60 implants were placed into artificial bone blocks. After implant insertion, 2, 3, 4 and 5 mm healing abutments were installed on 15 specimens, respectively. Insertion torque value, implant stability test, Periotest value were measured. Insertion torque value was controlled between 45 - 55 Ncm. AnyCheck was used for measuring implant stability test and Periotest M was used for measuring Periotest value. Implant stability test and Periotest value were measured at the angles of 0 and 30 degrees to the horizontal plane. Measured values were analyzed statistically. Results: Insertion torque value had no significant difference among groups. When healing abutment height was higher, implant stability test and Periotest value showed lower stability. Also when measurement angle was decreased, implant stability test and Periotest value showed lower stability. Conclusion: When measuring stability of implants with percussion type devices, measured values should be evaluated considering height of healing abutments and measurement angle.

Design of a Torque Application Device in Test Rig for a Wind Turbine Gearbox (풍력발전기용 증속기 시험 장비의 토크 인가 장치 설계)

  • This study was conducted to develop and verify a torque application device for use in a mechanical power-circulation test rig for 5.5 MW wind turbine gearboxes. The design and analysis of the torque application device was conducted. In addition, the torsional stiffness of the test rig was calculated using the rotational angle measurements for each of the components. The calculated stiffness of the test rig was $231.13kN{\cdot}m/rad$ for a clockwise torque application. The rated torque can be applied when the stiffness of the gearbox is greater than $1,064,400kN{\cdot}m/rad$ for a clockwise torque application. Because of the limited rotational angle of the test rig, the potential application of the rated torque is determined according to the torsional stiffness of the test gearbox.

  • In this study, the effects of the compressor for the air conditioning system on the fuel economy were experimentally investigated in an actual automobile. This study aims to analyze the level of contribution of the driving torque of the compressor to the fuel economy. A torque sensor, which is directly set on the clutch of the compressor, is developed to obtain data about the compressor load, which influences the fuel efficiency, and then, the reliability of the torque sensor is verified by comparing the results with those of a torque meter in a bench test. An actual automobile equipped with the compressor and torque sensor is operated in a climate wind tunnel in which appropriate facilities are set up to evaluate the fuel efficiency. The compressor driving torque resulting from the difference in the compressor displacement is found to influence the fuel economy, and the fuel economy is found to be worsened by up to 2~3% with an around 11% increase in the compressor displacement under the same conditions.

  • Propeller performance measurement system for commercial propeller was designed and applied to the wind tunnel test for 3 commercial propeller models with diameters of 30 inch. The thrust and torque of the propeller was directly measured by using 6-components balance installed on the rotating axis. The measurement system was validated by using wind tunnel balance calibration equipment. Propeller test stand including measurement and rotating system was validated by using QTP propeller. In the hovering condition, we compared the performance test results and the specifications of the commercial propeller provided by the manufacturer and confirmed that there are differences in the thrust and the torque. We measured the propeller performance with various wind speeds, propeller models and angles of attack and was summarized by thrust coefficients. We confirmed that the trend of the thrust coefficients was different in the low angle of attack and high angle of attack. An aerodynamics database that can be used for future aerodynamic design of an unmanned aerial vehicle was secured.

Research on the Torque and Starting Characteristics of a Turbopump Turbine (터보펌프 터빈의 토크 및 시동특성 연구)

  • Torque characteristics of a turbopump turbine was analyzed using the turbine performance test result. Specific torque of the subject turbine could be expressed as a linear function of corrected rotor speed at a fixed pressure ratio and it has been confirmed by the test result. It also found that corrected rotor speed-specific torque characteristics does not change anymore if the turbine pressure ratio is set bigger than a certain value. Using the turbine torque characteristics and pyro-starter performance test results, rotational speed development behavior of the turbopump was predicted. Prediction revealed that the lap time reaching 50% of turbopump design speed is less than 0.7 second. Effect of the thermal loss between pyro-starter and turbopump was negligible.
