Construction of Three Dimensional Soil Cadmium Pollution Map Using Geotechnical Information DB System (국토지반정보시스템을 이용한 3차원 토양오염지도 구축)

  • This study presented the build-up of three-dimensional soil pollution map for precise analysis. To do this, survey on the existing pollutant region on Dongnae-gu, Busan that is the study subject, showed that it tended to produce 0.72 clusters. So, this study suggested to investigate center of $1km{\times}1km $ grid and, as the results of comparing the pollution map that input pollution figure values based on the actually investigation point showed precise results. And, it divided the standard of pollution into 5 levels in surface and underground space and the map was built up using IDW interpolation against the amount of polluted substance. The pollution of ground surface, flow of polluted substance, coefficient of permeability and ground water level that are 504 geotechnical informations were selected as the influential parameters in pollution analysis of underground space, and it calculated that to 0~20 points by dividing the characteristics. It enables the build-up of pollution map of ground surface-underground with depth that considers the characteristics of soil layers and it is considered that it is possible to analyze the general infiltration. And, it was considered that it enables more accurate forecast about influential analysis per depth and pollution of underground water.

우리나라 토양오염부지관련 정보관리체계의 문제점 - 법ㆍ제도를 중심으로 -

  • The objectives of this study is to find problems in the legal and institutional background on our information system for soil contaminated sites. To achieve this abjective, we compared our system with those of federal and New Jersey state governments of the United States. We found that we have no comprehensive guideline on how various information from the contaminated sites should be manipulated. In our system, some regulations on information management were found only in a few prescriptions on detection, detailed investigation, and remediation phases. However, we found that provisions, detailed procedures, and related guidelines for the information management are provided in tile case of the federal and New Jersey state governments. Also, public involvement and disclosure of tile information for the remediation procedure are designated in their legal systems.

시범 충적층 수문지질도 작성ㆍ연구 - 부여 군수리 시범 지역을 중심으로 -

  • 국가적인 수자원 다변화 정책의 일환으로 충적층을 활용한 강변여과, 지하수댐, 직접 함양 등의 다양한 충적층 지하수 인공함양 활용 가능성이 점차적으로 증대되고 있지만, 국내에서는 이를 구체적으로 활용하기 위하여 필요한 충적층 지하수의 개발 및 관리를 위한 충적층 수문지질도를 찾아보기 힘든 실정이다. 따라서, 본 발표에서는 부여 군수리 지역을 시범 대상 지역으로 선정하여 수자원 개발을 위한 충적층 활용 가능성을 평가하기 위해 기본적으로 필요한 지형적, 지질학적, 수리적 및 환경적 요소들을 포함하는 시범 충적층 수문지질도를 작성하였다. 본 충적층 수문지질도에는 지하수위 및 수질 변화, 지표 토양조건 및 지하 대수층 분포 등를 추정할 수 있는 다양한 자료들을 포함하고 있으며, 대부분의 이들 자료는 직접 현장 조사를 통해 획득되었다. 이러한 시범 충적층 수문지질도의 작성은 향후 충적층 지하수의 개발 및 관리시에 기본 자료로 활용될 것이다. 그러나, 앞으로 보다 정밀하고 효용성 있는 충적층 수문지질도 작성을 위해서는 이번 시범 작성을 참조하여 보다 많은 개선과 표준화가 요구된다.

Simultaneous Analysis of Semi-Volatile Organic Base/Neutral Priority Pollutants in Soil (토양 중의 비휘발성 염기/중성 유기 Priority Pollutants 동시 분석에 관한 연구)

  • This study was aimed at the detection of 40 semi-volatile organic base/neutral compounds from soil among 129 priority pollutants listed by EPA. Two extraction procedures, sonication extraction and Soxhlet extraction, were studied as a extraction and concentration method for priority pollutants in soil. Extracts were analyted by GC/MS-SIM(selected ion monitoring). The analytical methods were tested by standard compounds spiked into blank soil. Accuracy and precision of the methods were measured by calculation of mean recovery and mean relative standard deviation. And the method detection limits were estimated.

Field Variability and Variable Rate Fertilization of Nitrogen in a Direct Seeding Paddy for Precision Agriculture (정밀 농업을 위한 직파 벼 재배 논에서 포장 변이성 조사와 질소의 변량 시비)

  • Since understanding on spatial variability of a field is essential to pursue precision agricultural technology, a field study for field variability and variable rate fertilization of nitrogen in a direct seeding paddy was attempted. Variable rate application of nitrogen was designed with soil test, and field application was tested in a direct seeding paddy in the Kimje, Jeonbuk, Korea. The grid samples of soil was collected from the field of which unit size was 35 m by 112 m on February before irrigating of the field. Soil organic matter, available phosphate and silicate, and extractable potassium were analyzed. Variable rate fertilizer recommendation maps of nitrogen for high yielding, HY, and low input sustainable agriculture, LISA, were derived based on the soil analysis. Direct seeding of rice was performed for variable rate treatment, VRT, for the experimental plot in 2001 and 2002, and so did for three volunteer farmers' field in 2003. Yield mapping was performed by harvesting. Economic feasibility of direct seeding of rice by variable rate fertilization was evaluated. Though increased yield of variable rate application and benefit of reducing fertilizer use and environmental impact, the cost for soil test exceeded the total reduced fertilizer cost.

  • 최근 기후변화로 인해 이상기후 현상이 지속적으로 발생하고 있으며 이로 인해 산사태나 토석류와 같은 산재재해가 발생하여 인근 도심에까지 영향을 끼치고 있다. 본 연구에서는 해마다 빈번하게 발생하고 있는 산지 토사재해의 피해저감과 원인분석을 위하여 과거 강원도 인제군에서 발생한 산사태 및 토석류가 발생 현장을 조사하였고 발생유역의 특징을 분석하기 위해 GIS기법을 이용하여 기후, 지질, 지형, 토양 등의 공간자료를 구축하고 보다 정밀한 지형인자 추출을 위하여 지상 LiDAR를 활용하여 토석류 발생현장을 스캔하고 3D 지형자료를 구축하였다. 추후 공간자료와 3D지형자료를 활용하여 토석류 발생량 추적이나 확산 범위등 정밀 분석의 기초자료로 활용 될 것이다.

Distribution of Heavy Metals in the Soils of Hanam City. (경기도 하남시 토양의 중금속 함량 분포 조사)

  • The objectives of this study were to find out distribution of heavy metal contents in the soils of Hanam city and to provide base-line data towards development of an eco-city Hanam. One hundred surface soil (0-20 cm) samples were collected from rice paddy field, cultivated upland, forest, riverside and other areas. The samples were air-dried, sieved to pass through 2 mm sieves, followed by analyses for As, Cd, Cu, Pb and Zn by the standard method set by the ministry of environment. All the average heavy metal contents were close to background level and were much lower than concern level of the Soil Environment Conservation Act of Korea. However, some individual heavy metal contents were higher than the action level. Since natural environment including soil environment of Hanam city is being destroyed rapidly and the number of the sampling points allocated to Hanam city based on the soil contamination monitoring network of the ministry of environment is only 6, an in-depth soil survey for contamination of Hanam city is highly recommended.

Characteristics of temperature variation in the collection area of Amanita virgineoides (흰가시광대버섯(Amanita virgineoides) 발생지역의 기온변화 특성)

  • Amanita virgineoides Bas is an ectomycorrhizal mushroom belonging to the family Amanitaceae in the order Agaricales. This fungus usually grows solely on damp soil in coniferous or deciduous forests from summer to autumn. Although Korean people consume A. virgineoides, some studies indicate that it can be poisonous. During our biodiversity survey of four specific regions i.e., Yongin, Eumseong, and Chungju from 2016 to 2018, A. virgineoides specimens were collected on the sixth rotation. We analyzed the temperature, precipitation, relative humidity, and vegetation surrounding the A. virgineoides fruiting bodies to reveal the environmental factors that influenced mushroom formation. It was found to usually grow in August, the hottest season in Korea. For 60 days before forming the fruiting body, temperatures were found to be between 20 and $30^{\circ}C$. More evidence is necessary to ensure that change in temperature is the major environmental factor that determines A. virgineoides fruiting.

  • A testing inspection is one of the important in the industry, owing to determine the reliability and directivity of testing inspection results. Therefore, the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) work which performed by personnel not directly in the inventory compilation development, in testing inspection must be thoroughly considered. Some agencies for environmental test inspection, they sometimes misunderstood that the QA/QC was ended with proficiency testing performance and on-site assessment by a director. Thus, results were often calculated without QA/QC work by self manual when conducting test. The objective of this study was to improve reliability of testing and inspection agency through the QA/QC case study which basically performed to raising reliability of testing and inspection agency. In this study, it increased reliability of result by verifying calibration curve (IC, ICV, CCV), blank, accuracy (LCS, MS) and precision as QA/QC performance, while performing investigation of soil contamination in mining areas. This study suggests that reliability establishing method of test result and management method of analysis process, through the QA/QC instance of testing agency.

A rapid determination of chloride in saturated paste extracts of salt-affected soils using EC change upon AgCl precipitation (AgCl 침전 전후 전기전도도 변화를 이용한 염해지 포화침출액의 염소 이온 신속 정량)

  • Chloride is known as the most important anion in salt-affected soils. We observed the degree of EC change upon AgCl precipitation was quantitatively related with the chloride concentration. Method validation and intercomparison with ion chromatography revealed the proposed method can provide rapid and moderately precise chloride concentrations in salt-affected soils.
