Trends and Issues in Research on Noticing in Mathematics Education (수학 교육에서 노티싱(Noticing) 연구의 동향과 과제)

  • Whereas noticing with relation to teacher expertise has been steadily studied in international contexts, there have been very few studies in Korea in this area. Given this, this paper reviewed the meanings of noticing based on Sherin and van Es as well as Jacobs et al. who provided foundational work and then analyzed recent studies on teacher noticing. A review of literature showed that recent international studies on noticing tend to elaborate the theoretical framework of noticing, diversify the methods of research on noticing, and extend to the range of noticing. This paper also included an analysis of domestic studies dealing with noticing either explicitly or implicitly. This paper is expected to serve as a basis to foster conceptual understanding of teacher noticing and to derive follow-up studies in Korea.

A Study on the Characteristic of Interaction Model for Implementation of Richmedia Contents (리치미디어 컨텐츠 구현에 있어 상호작용 모델)

  • The web as a sign synthesis text has become a kernel for incorporeal knowledge as well as a communication model through the ubiquitous environment all over the world. The evaluation of the communication model, which is essential for the information structure, acts as an important basis on determining the quality of the web contents. In this study, the development of the progress of the communication of semantic meaning in the construction of the information structure was analyzed in views of the form, the function, and the emotional effect of the rich media contents of the web. The transformation process from the initial access elements through the final selection elements was suggested as the communication model and the effects of the function of the information in the web on the process was assessed by the engineering and linguistic models of Shannon, Weaver, and Roman Jakobson. The results of this study showed that the environments such as the speed, the memory space, data compression technique, and data filtering have influences on the web contents expression and the evaluation of the communication model in connection with the environments is the basis in the information structure.

Regional Innovation Capabilities and Firms' Technological Innovation Activities in Chungnam Province of South Korea (충남 북부지역의 지역혁신역량과 기업의 기술혁신활동)

  • This research analyzed regional innovation capabilities and technological activities of firms in Chungnam province of South Korea on the basis of a questionnaire survey of 64 regional manufacturing firms. The existence and level of regional innovation capabilities were measured by the perceptions of firms, a core actor in the regional innovation system. The analysis result revealed that research capabilities of academia, capabilities of R&D institutes, technological capabilities of industry, and governmental policy support were recognized as major capabilities of the regional innovation system. Regional proximity was also found to have significant influence on firms‘ sources of technological innovation and selection of collaboration partners. Practical as well as theoretical implications of the findings and future research directions were discussed at the last part.

Study Based on Grounded Theory about Job Experience of Visiting Supervisors for Multicultural Families (다문화가정 방문교육지도사의 직업경험에 관한 근거이론연구)

  • This study examined the job experience of visiting supervisors for multicultural families. To achieve the goal of this study, data was collected by in-depth interviews with 7 visiting supervisors for multicultural families. For an analysis of the data, the grounded theory approach by Strauss and Corbin [11] was employed. The results of an analysis of the categories are detailed below. Through an open coding process, a total of 124 concepts, 33 subcategories, and 13 categories were produced. The central phenomenon was 'uncertain employment '. From the axial coding, the causal conditions were 'employment for economic reasons' and 'frequent policy and regulation changes'. The contextual conditions were 'uneasiness about the evaluation result', 'unilateral work instruction system', and 'little improvement of treatment'. Intervention conditions were 'high level of satisfaction with work', 'handy source of income', and 'no other alternative'. Action/interaction strategies were 'efforts for contract extension' and 'receptive attitude'. The consequences were 'hope to retain employment' and 'agonizing over their rights'.

Analysis of the Risk Perception of Nuclear Power Plant and Radiation (원자력발전 및 방사선의 사회적 위험에 대한 인식분석)

  • Researches on the danger of nuclear power generation, the foundation of the development of national industry and one of the energy sources, as perceived by ordinary citizens, are very important to social acceptance of nuclear power generation. Accordingly, this study intends to understand how ordinary citizens perceive the social risk of nuclear power generation and radiation, and their misconceptions, and to propose ways to improve such perceptions. To achieve these goals, this study analyzed the perceptions of 251 ordinary citizens. The analysis showed that ordinary citizens have vague anxiety and suspicion about the safety of nuclear power generation, and little trust in government-affiliated organizations. The younger they were, the more influential they thought corporations and industries were. The result of this study suggests that the misconceptions of ordinary citizens should be corrected by professors and scientists in university research institutions they trust the most, and their intrinsic perceptions should be changed accordingly.

Fuzzy-MOEH : Resource Constraints Project Scheduling Algorithm with Fuzzy Concept (Fuzzy-MOEH : 퍼지 개념을 이용한 자원제약 프로젝트 스케줄링 알고리즘)

  • Project scheduling under resource constraint conditions have contained to many uncertain factors and it is perfonned by human experts. The expert identifies the activities of the project, decides the precedent relationships between these activities, and then construct the schedule using expected activity's duration. At this time, most of the scheduling methods concentrate on one of scheduling factor between activity duration and cost. And the activity duration, which is the most important factor in scheduling, is decided by heuristic of expert. Therefore it may cause uncertainty of activity duration decision and the use of this activity duration may increase the uncertainty of constructed schedule. This paper proposes Fuzzy-MOEH scheduling algorithm, which is the aggregation of the fuzzy number for deciding activity duration and applies the cost function for solving the problems of previous scheduling methods. This paper also analyze the utility and property of Fuzzy-MEOH algorithm through the comparison between Fuzzy-MEOH algorithm and existing MEOH algorithm.

  • This article tried to understand roles of lifelong education for people with disabilities among revised lifelong education act and to search how rehabilitation counselor attend to the area of lifelong education for people with disabilities and connect. And this article reviewed literatures on significance of act revision and carried out FGI with seven experts. The result was as follows as. First, responsibility of nation on lifelong education for people with disabilities was emphasized after act revision and was extended. Second, the roles of national lifelong educational promotion center for people with disabilities was reinforced and extended possibility of attendance and connection. Third, the result of deep interview between experts appeared as necessity of reestablishment about concept. lifelong education support necessity by disability area, restructure and support of work and methods exploration for coexistence. In conclusion, the methods for coexistence are need because vocational rehabilitation and lifelong education for people with disabilities are essential for adults with disabilities.

Analyzing Elementary Student Experience on Software Education: Based on Computational Thinking Framework (컴퓨팅사고 프레임워크 기반 초등 소프트웨어교육 경험 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse of elementary student experience in software education based on computational thinking framework. A total of 27 students (5th grade) were interviewed who took software education during 4 months in A elementary school which located in Seoul. The findings revealed were as follows: First, the elementary learners were able to perform scratch projects and learn basic concepts for computing thinking. elementary students' studied basic concepts for computational thinking by the process of carrying out their Scratch project. Second, elementary learners were able to confirm the execution of computing accidents in the process of implementing scratch projects. Third, elementary students had change in creative expression and interactive connectivity in terms of learners' computing thinking. The result of this study is meaningful in that it analyzes the educational experience of elementary school students qualitatively and suggests the direction of software education for enhancing computing thinking ability.

Development and Validation of the Kkondae Scale (꼰대 척도의 개발 및 타당화)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the 'Kkondae Scale' and verify its validity. For this purpose, three constructive concepts (attribution error, cognitive rigidity, and one-way communication) were derived through expert interviews, prior research and literature analysis, and 15 preliminary questions were selected. In addition, a preliminary scale was developed by modifying or adding items to conform to each constructive concept through expert content validity evaluation. Next, as a result of the exploratory factor analysis of about 250 adults, a three-factor structure model was derived. As a result of the confirmatory factor analysis on the preliminary scale for about 401 adults, it was confirmed that the fit of the three-factor structure was good. As a result of convergence and discriminatory validity analysis, it was confirmed that the developed scale was a valid tool to measure Kkondae by showing appropriate correlations with listening attitude, empathy, acceptance of others, and intellectual humility. Finally, based on the results of this study, the significance, limitations, and future research direction of the study were discussed.

A Basic Study for Digital Archiving of Hallyu Popular Culture Contents: Based on the Current Status of Digital Archives (한류 대중문화 콘텐츠의 디지털 아카이빙을 위한 기초연구: 디지털 아카이브 현황 조사를 바탕으로)

  • Hallyu pop-culture contents which has influenced the world has sufficient preservation value as a cultural asset. However, there is still a lack of awareness of long-term preservation of Hallyu pop-culture contents and digital archiving is not in full swing, too. We requires accurate understanding of the concept, characteristics, format, media, and relationship of contents for digital archiving of Hallyu pop-culture content. Thus, this study analyzed and organized the concept, characteristics, and preservation subject of Hallyu pop-culture contents, as basic study for digital archiving of Hallyu pop-culture contents. In addition, we investigated the current status of digital archives (systems/institutions) of Hallyu pop-culture contents and Hallyu pop-culture contents, and presented basic proposal based on the problem factors.
