Effect of Kinesio Taping on Muscular Strength, Power, and Endurance of the Extension and Flexion of the Knee Joint (슬관절 탄력테이핑 적용이 슬관절 굴곡과 신전의 근력, 근파워, 근지구력에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to verify the effect of elastic-taping on the strength, power, and endurance of muscles. Elastic-taping is widely used in sports for preventing injuries due to flexion and extension of the knee joints. The participants of this study were 10 male college students with no abnormalities in knee flexion and extension movements. The function of flexors and extensors of the knee joint were assessed using the isokinetic muscle function measurement equipment at angular velocities of 60°/sec, 5 times; 180°/sec, 5 times; 240°/sec, 25 times before and after applying Kinesio taping. It was observed that the average power of muscles after application of Kinesio taping during knee extension on the right side was significantly increased at angular velocity of 180°/sec (p=.010). During knee flexion, the average power was significantly increased at the right angular velocity of 180° /sec after Kinesio taping was applied (p=.016). In addition, at an angular velocity of 240°/sec, both left (p=.002) and right (p=.002) sides showed significant increase in total work done. The application of Kinesio taping to the rectus femoris and biceps femoris showed a positive effect on improving muscle power and endurance during knee joint exercise.

  • The effects of taping on the use of such measures for prevention have already been comprehensively described in the literature. However, few studies have analyzed ground reaction forces and postural stability with functional ankle instability subject during dynamic activities with ankle taping The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of ankle taping on ground reaction force and postural stability during jump landing. Fourteen players who has ankle instability were participated in this study. we used vicon and force platform. The application of taping who has ankle instability decreased DF and inversion angular velocity and peak vertical ground reaction force during landing. It also improved A-P cop, M-L cop in stability. The findings of this study support the use of taping as part of injury prevention for subject with functional ankle instability in clinical setting.

Effects of Taping Therapy on Lower Extremities Discomfort and Fatigue in Nurses (테이핑요법이 간호사의 하지불편감 및 피로에 미치는 효과)

  • This study is presented as evidence for developing a health education program to prevent lower extermity circulatory system problems among nurses's health problem by identifying the effects of taping therapy on lower extermites discomfort and fatigue for nurses who stand for long periods of time. The study method is a similar experimental study using a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design in which taping therapy was applied to female nurses who work day shifts for 5 consecutive days in an orthopedic surgery ward. Data collection was from November 2 to December 18, 2020, and a total of 60 nurses, 30 in the experimental group and 30 in the control group, were recruited from two orthopedic surgery hospitals located in B city. The data were analyzed by chi-square test, t-test and paired t-test using the SPSS WIN 22.0 program. As a result of the study, the experimental group had lower extermities discomfort(t=-1.27, p=<.001) and fatigue score(t=-0.60, p=<.001) than the control group, and it was confirmed that there was a statistically significant effect. It has been proven that taping therapy is a very effective nursing intervention.

  • The purpose of this study is introduce the spiral taping treatment on Temporomandibular Disorder in oral Medicine. The taping treatment is relatively simple and dosen't have any adverse effect, so it has high stability and superior effect of treatment. In this study, using the spiral taping treatment as one of the effective taping treatments, non-stretched tape was attatched to the muscles which set limit to the range of joint movement and cause pain to temporomandibular joint. With that treatment this study tried to make effective results of treatment of temporomandibular disorder. These results suggest spiral taping treatments contribute to the improvement of tempermandibular disorders. Further this study is needed for the confirmation of this effect of spiral taping treatments on temporomandibular disorders.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate of effect of medial & inferior gliding of patella using non-elastic taping on muscle activation of vastus medialis & vastus lateralis during sit to st&ing. As a result of measure, it was confirmed that the muscle activity of vastus medialis is higher than total muscle activity when the inferomedial gilding compared to the medial gliding. The medial & downward gliding of patella more stable than medial direction. especially it will be effective on prevent or control of Patellofemoral pain syndrome. In this regard, the development of orthosis & sportswear for inferomedial gliding to patella will be efficiency to maintain healthy the knee joint.

A Study on electrical and optical characteristics of single EEFL using different electrode materials (여러 가지 외부 전극층 재료를 사용한 형광램프의 전기적 및 광학적 특성에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, the luminance and resistance from different electrode materials of external electrode fluorescent lamp are measured and analyzed. New materials and process technology of external electrode are very important for the developed characteristics in lamp fabrication. In this experiments, three different types for the forming of external electrode are Cu and Al taping, silver paste, Ni and Cu electrode-less plating methods. In the measurements of luminance, the results of brightness by Ni and Au plating methods for the external electrode on lamp glass are presented and also compared with the results by the methods using different electrode materials. The measured resistance values of Ni and Au plating process showed a little bit higher than that of silver paste process in spite of developed results of brightness. But the Ni and Ni/Au plating processes are demonstrated best results and are also showed a little bit different brightness due to different previous sulfate etching treatments.

  • 2005년도에 저압 지중함에서 감전사고가 발생한 후 감전예방을 위한 다양한 개선대책이 현장에 적용되었다. 사고발생 직후에는 지중전선의 접속부에 테이핑처리에 의한 보완조치가 적용되었으며, 그 이후 전선 접속 부를 방수형접속재로 교체하는 작업이 시행되었으며 전선 접속부 위를 감전방지용 절연고무판으로 덮거나 차량의 통행이 없는 일부 지중함의 뚜껑을 절연재질인 고강도플라스틱(FRP)으로 교체하거나 그 이외에 다중접지된 중성선과 지중함의 틀을 본딩하는 개선대책 등이 현장에 적용되었다. 이러한 다양한 개선대책은 지중함에서의 감전사고를 예방하기 위한 것으로 그중 틀접지는 이미 적용된 지중함 내의 접지설비와 중성선이 공통접속된 상태에서 지중함과 맞닿는 틀에 접지도체를 연결하는 것이다. 계통의 중성선을 이용한(TN-C)방식의 틀접지는 효과가 있으나 뚜껑부분의 진동방지를 위하여 삽입한 고무패킹은 성능저하를 일으키므로 그에 대한 대책이 필요하였다.

  • 음극방식법은 피방식체에 외부전원을 인가하거나 보다 활성 금속을 전기적으로 연결하여 피방식체를 일정 전위까지 음극분극 되도록 하여 부식을 억제하는 방법이다. 해수 중 음극방식을 실시할 경우 생성되는 석회질 피막(Calcareous deposit)은 소요전류밀도 감소로 인한 희생양극의 수명연장 및 물리적 방호벽 역할을 한다. 그러나 일반적인 석회질 피막은 세라믹과 같은 화합물로써 밀착력이 매우 약하며, 적지 않은 피막 형성 시간이 소요된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 해수 중 음극전류 프로세스를 응용하여 실제 강관의 해중부 및 간만대 영역까지 석회질 피막을 균일-치밀하게 형성시키기 위한 최적의 조건을 찾고자 하였다. 각 조건별로 제작된 석회질 피막은 SEM, EDS 및 XRD를 통해 막의 모폴로지, 조성원소 및 결정 구조를 분석하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 희생양극 종류(Al, Zn) 및 1, 3, $5mA/m^2$의 전류밀도 조건에서 부위-기간별 형성된 석회질 피막의 메커니즘을 해명하였다. 또한 밀착성과 내식특성을 평가하기 위해 테이핑 테스트, 침지-자연전위 거동을 분석 및 평가하였다.
