  • XML은 웹 상에서 데이터의 원활한 교환을 위해서 HTML을 보완하여 설계된 차세대 인터넷문서작성용언어이다. XML 문서와 같은 반구조(semistructured) 의 특성을 갖는 데이터를 효과적으로 다루기 위한 새로운 데이터모델과 질의어가 제안되어 오고 있지만, 여기서는 관계형 데이터베이스에 XML 문서를 효과적으로 저장하는 방법에 관해서 논의한다. 먼저, 도서를 표현하는 XML 문서를 위한 DTD를 제시하고, 이 DTD를 관계 테이블로 변환하는 방법을 논의한다. 다음에는 Oracle서 지원하는 XDK를 이용하여 XML문서를 Oracle8i DB에 저장하는 방법에 대해서 논의한다.

  • 90년대 초반부터 공간정보와 함께 시간정보를 포함하는 시공간 데이터베이스 시스템에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있지만, 대부분의 연구가 시공간 데이터모델에 치중하고 있으며 시공간 질의어에 대한 연구는 최근에 시작되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 시간 정보의 포함 여부에 따라 다양한 형태로 구분되는 시공간 테이블을 효율적으로 관리할 수 있으며, 비 공간정보에 대한 조건과 공간정보에 대한 조건 및 시간정보에 대한 조건으로 구성되는 시공간 질의를 간결하고 효과적으로 표현할 수 있는 시공간 질의어를 설계한다.

  • 고성능 슈퍼스칼라 프로세서에서는 명령어 수준 병렬성(Instruction Level Parallelism, ILP)의 장애인 명령어간의 종속 관계 중 데이터 종속관계를 극복하기 위해 값 예측기를 이용하여 모험적으로 명령어들을 실행한다. 값 예측 시에 필요한 테이블 참조와 값 예측 실패 시 실행되는 잘못된 명령어의 실행은 프로세서의 부가적인 전력 소모를 요구한다. 본 논문에서는 값 예측기와 Cai-Lim의 전력모델을 슈퍼스칼라 프로세서 사이클 수준 시뮬레이터인 SimpleScalar 3.0 툴셋에 삽입하여 전력 소모량을 측정하고 분석한다.

  • QoS is an important requirement of the FTTH (Fiber To The Home) subscriber in access network using E-PON (Ethernet Passive Optical Network). In this research, we describe the structure of the access network and propose a bandwidth guarantee scheme for subscriber and service according to the requirements of the subscriber, service and system. This scheme uses two kinds of the classification table, which are called 'service classification table' and 'subscriber classification table.' Using the classification table, we can identify the flow of the subscriber and service. Also, we compute the number of hash table entry to minimize the loss ratio of flows using the M/G/k/k queueing model. Finally, we apply the DRR scheduling through virtual queueing per subscriber instead of the aggregated class.

  • In this paper, we propose a QoS routing protocol for WiMAX based wireless mesh networks. The proposed routing protocol is a proactive hop-by-hop QoS routing protocol. It can find an optimal route that satisfies QoS requirements using bandwidth and delay as QoS parameters. In this paper, we first present a network model for WIMAX based wireless mesh networks and explain why QoS routing protocol is the most appropriate for WiMAX based wireless mesh networks. Then, we propose a proactive hop-by-hop QoS routing protocol that meets QoS requirements of traffic flowing between mesh client and the gateway. The simulation results show that the proposed routing protocol outperforms QOLSR protocol in terms of end-to-end delay, packet delivery ratio and routing overhead.

  • A weapon control algorithm equipped on a fighter is closely related to the mission accomplishment and fighter survivability during the engagement. In the case of a air-to-surface missile, the weapon control algorithm typically provides a pilot the target shoot-down possible region known as launch acceptability region(LAR) in the multi function display(MFD). LAR is produced by the range table(RT) through computation of an engagement range. In this paper, the operation system of AGM-84 and AGM-88 air-to-surface missiles is introduced. And the engagement range computation and LAR algorithm based on the real-time pseudo 6-DOF simulation are proposed. In order to verify the performance of the algorithm, numerical engagement simulations of air-to-surface missiles to produce LAR have been done.

QoS Mesh Routing Protocol for IEEE 802.16 based Wireless Mesh Networks (IEEE 802.16 기반의 무선 메쉬 네트워크를 위한 QoS 메쉬 라우팅 프로토콜)

  • This paper proposes QoS mesh routing protocol for IEEE 802.16 based wireless mesh networks. QoS mesh routing protocol proposed in this paper is a proactive hop-by-hop QoS routing protocol. The goal of our routing protocol is not only to find a route from a source to a destination, but also optimal route that satisfies QoS requirements, given in terms of bandwidth and delay as default QoS parameters. In this paper, we first analyze possible types of routing protocols that have been studied for MANET and show proactive hop-by-hop routing protocols are the most appropriate for wireless mesh networks. Then, we present a network model for IEEE 802.16 based wireless mesh networks and propose a proactive hop-by-hop QoS routing protocol. Through our simulation, we represent that our routing protocol outperforms QOLSR protocol in terms of end-to-end delay, packet delivery ratio and routing overhead.

Study of State Machine Diagram Robustness Testing using Casual Relation of Events (이벤트 의존성을 이용한 상태 머신 다이어그램의 강건성 테스팅 연구)

  • Studies of fault-injection into state machine diagram have been studied for generating robustness test cases. Conventional studies have, however, tended to inject too many faults into diagrams because they only have considered structural aspects of diagrams. In this paper, we propose a method that aims to reduce the number of injected fault without a decrease in effectivenss of robustness test. A proposed method is demonstrated using a microwave oven sate machine diagram and evaluated using a hash table state machine diagram. The result of the evaluation shows that the number of injected faults is decreased by 43% and the number of test cases is decreased by 63% without a decrease in effectiveness of hash table robustness test.

Design of Moving Object Query Processing Based on UDF (UDF 기반 이동객체 질의 처리 설계 및 구현)

  • Various mobile devices are spreading in recent developments in mobile computing environments. Especially the popularity of mobile devices equipped with GPS has become widespread, and various application services utilizing location information are born. In this paper, we propose a system model for storing and managing the trajectory of moving objects, which is the set of location information of moving objects acquired in continuous time, and the UDF (User-Defined Functions) based trajectory index method which can quickly query the large data set of moving object and the Pre-Materialized table method. Then we compare and evaluate the performance of each method through experiments. Experimental results show that the Pre-Materialized table method is about 1.2 times faster than the UDF based trajectory index method on execution time.
