  • 본 논문에서는 LCI (Load Commuted Inverter) 시스템의 구동원리와 제어방식에 대해서 서술하였으며, 알고리즘 검증을 위한 모델링을 매트랩/시뮬링크를 사용하여 진행하였으며, 5kW급 프로토타입을 통해 제어 알고리즘의 성능을 확인하였다. 시스템 속도에 따라 달리하는 구동방식인 강제전류 모드와 자연전류 모드는 동기발전기의 정격속도 10%인 180rpm에서 모드 전환이 이루어지며, 과도상태 및 정격속도까지 안정적인 동작을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, power transmission systems converts the shaft power of a Turbo-shaft Engine with Free Power Turbine into the generator power and be composed of a method being supplied in the thrust motor driving a propellers. Being used this, Gas turbine engine works to flat rating about 110 kw (147 shp) that the thrust motor be extremely supplied from the engine of 317shp. In this test equipment, the engine is installed with the flywheel being able to the damping function when happen to the varying load between gas turbine engine output-shaft and generator. Then if the flywheel of inertial moment be not considered, the generator and motor not get the required power from the engine for raising the load. Also it is certified that the engine works the abnormal operation. Hence the flywheel of inertial moment is determined the required range to do the performance analysis with the dynamic transient from the given and tested engine data. This system is able to get the required power after a mounting test with the redesigned flywheel.

  • 설계단계의 풍력발전시스템 하중계산은 20년이 넘는 시스템 수명과 효율을 결정하는 중요한 부분이다. 일반적인 규정서 기반의 설계하중 계산은 실제 풍황 조건인 발전기 상호 간섭, 설치 지형의 특성 등을 상세히 묘사하기 어렵다. 풍력발전기 설계 단계에서 검토된 평균풍속 또는 난류강도 등이 규정(IEC, GL 등)을 만족한다 하더라도 설계값과 실제값은 서로 다른 결과를 나타낼 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 기 설계된 풍력발전기가 최적 효율을 낼 수 있는 풍력단지의 풍황 특성(평균풍속과 난류강도 등)의 범위를 보다 정확하게 제시하여 설치되는 풍력발전기의 수명과 효율을 높이는 방법을 연구하였다. 이를 위하여 당사의 2MW급 IEC Class II-A로 설계된 직접 구동형 풍력발전기에 대해, 다양한 평균 풍속(7m/s~10m/s)과 난류강도(14%~20%)를 고려한 하중 계산을 수행하였다. 하중 분석을 통해 실제 풍황 조건에 따른 극한하중 산출 및 피로수명의 민감도를 검토하여 풍력발전기 운용의 풍속과 난류강도의 최적범위 제시하여 발전단지 설계에 활용할 수 있도록 하였다.

  • A wind turbine simulator is developed for the emulation of variable input torque from the wind energy without actual rotor blades using motor-generator set. The torque command of dc motor is calculated from the characteristic equation of rotor blade during the change of wind speed. Especially the proposed control algorithm takes into account the fact that the moment of inertia of blade is much larger than that of driving motor. If you select the desired value of inertia, the stored/restored energy of the inertia during acceleration/deceleration can be compensated effectively resulting the only net torque is delivered to the generator. The simulator set-up has been designed and implemented using a do motor and drive. Feasibility of the proposed algorithm is verified by computer simulations and experiments.

  • The purpose of this paper is to describe the control system for optimal performance of 2MW gearless PMSG wind turbine system, and to afford some techniques of the algorithm selection and design optimization of the wind turbine control system through analysis of load calculation and control characteristic. Wind turbine control system is composed of the main control system and remote control and monitoring system. The main control system is industrial PC based controller, and the remote control and monitoring system is a server based computer system. The main control system has a supervisory control of the wind turbine with operation procedures and power-speed control through the torque control by pitch angle. There are some applications to optimize the wind turbine system at the starting mode with increasing of rotor speed, and cut-in operating mode to prevent trundling cut-in and cut-out, a gain scheduling of pitch PID controller, torque scheduling and limitation of generation power by temperature limitation or remote command by remote control and monitoring system. Also, the server operation program of the remote control and monitoring system and the design of graphical display are described in this paper.

  • The conceptual design of turbine-driven air-cooled 100 MW generator is presented. The generators rating is 100 MW 3-phase 2pole 13.8 kV 0.85 pf 60 Hz. The conceptual design is described by the process of designing the stator, rotor, and obtaining some of equivalent circuit parameters. The design process starts from the output coefficient G, and utilizes the classical design equations with parameters used in the modern designs. The slot dimensions of the stator and rotor are obtained with their respective winding dimensions.

  • Load calculation is indispensable for the construction of a large wind turbine generator system (WTGS). In procedures of load calculation, all conditions affecting to WTGS such as environment of site, operation, transport and installation have to be considered systematically. So the certification of WTGS is issued by assuring the load calculation. This work shows the generals of load calculation briefly and introduces the characteristics and results of load calculations for the 750 kW direct-drive WTGS (KBP-750D) which is under development by the consortium of POSTECH and UNISON.

  • This paper presents a new gain scheduling speed controller of permanent magnet synchronous generators(PMSG) for MW-class direct-driven wind turbine systems. The proposed gain scheduling speed controller performs the speed tracking at more than one operating point, and the first-order torque observer estimates the turbine torque which is needed to precisely control the speed of PMSG. The proposed speed controller verifies that the PMSG can successfully follow the reference speed which is determined via the maximum power point tracking(MPPT) control and pitch control under turbulent wind conditions. The proposed speed control algorithm is simulated using Simulink and its performance is confirmed through comparison with the results by PI control method.

  • 증기발생기(SG : Steam Generator)는 다수의 세관으로 구성되어 원자로에서 발생한 열을 이용하여 발전기 터빈을 구동시키는 원동력인 증기를 생성해 주는 기능을 하는 원자력발전소의 핵심 설비이다. 증기발생기 세관의 건전성을 확보하기 위해 매주기 계획예방정비, 즉 가동중 검사마다 정기적인 와전류 검사를 수행하고, 검사결과에 따라 전열관 보수 등과 같은 제반 조치를 취하고 있다. 현재 검사데이터 DB 구축은 일부 발전소에 개발되어 운영 중에 있고, 세관 DB와는 별도로 통계정보만을 관리하는 증기발생기 성능관리시스템이 운영되고 있으며, 또한 각 발전소마다 수질을 계측하여 수화학 성분을 감시하는 수질관리시스템이 운용되고 있다. 이러한 이원화된 DB 및 시스템을 통합하고 연계하여 전 원전의 증기발생기를 종합적으로 관리 할 수 있는 시스템의 필요성이 대두되었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 현장에 보관되어 있는 모든 세관 검사데이터를 취득하여 대용량 데이터베이스를 설계 및 구축하고 이기종의 분산된 수질관리시스템 DB를 연계하여, 증기발생기의 설계/제작부터 검사결과 Mapping, 추이 분석을 통한 수명 평가에 이르는 전 과정을 통합 관리할 수 있는 시스템을 설계하고 그 구현방안을 제시한다.

A Optimization of the ORC for Ship's Power Generation System (해수 온도차를 이용한 선박의 ORC 발전 시스템 최적화)

  • In this study, for the purpose of reduction of $CO_2$ gas emission and to increase recovery of waste heat from ships, the ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) is investigated and offered for the conversion of temperature heat to electricity from waste heat energy from ships. Simulation was performed with waste heat from the exhaust gasse which is relatively high temperature and cooling sea water which is relatively low temperature from ships. Various fluid is used for simulation of the ORC system with variable temperature and flow condition and efficiency of system and output power is compared. Finally, 2,400kW output power is obtained by system optimization of the preheater and reheater utilizing waste heat form sea water cooling system.
