This study aims to investigate the mediating effects of commitment to learning on the relationship between instructor communication and reselection of the same instructor among college students in lifelong education. For this purpose, the investigator conducted a survey with college students in lifelong education attending a two or three year college or a university in Daegu Metropolitan City and Gyeongsangbuk Province and analyzed a final total of 498 questionnaires with the SPSS 22.0 and AMOS 22.0 statistical programs. The findings were as follows: instructors' verbal and non-verbal communication had total significant effects on the path of reselection of the same instructor by college students in lifelong education, but it had no direct significant effects on reselection of the same instructor. Instructors' verbal and non-verbal communication had indirect effects on reselection of the same instructor by college students in lifelong education via commitment to learning. These findings imply that if instructors make use of their verbal and non-verbal communication in lessons for college students in lifelong education according to their characteristics, it will be able to increase their commitment to learning as well as satisfaction with lessons.

해안에 전파해오는 천해파는 주로 불규칙파이며, 이들의 천해변이를 해석하는 데 있어 스펙트럼파로 해석하는 기법을 많이 사용해 왔다. 본 연구에서 비교 검토된 두 수치모형은 유동훈(1993)의 쌍곡형 평균파 모형과 정신택(1990)의 타원형 모형인데, 두 모형 모두 실험조건에 적용하여 1차 검증을 확인하였던 것들이다. 본 연구에서는 영일만 일대에서 관측된 자료를 이용하여 두 수치모형의 현장검증을 수행하였으며, 관측결과와의 비교로부터 두 수치모형의 장단점과 특징을 비교하였다. (중략)

정경택 교육과학기술부 국제과학비즈니스벨트기획단장은 '해결사'로 불린다. 지난해 교과부 과학기술정책실 정책조정기획관으로 부임해 국가 연구개발 컨트롤타워인 '국가과학기술위원회'를 성공적으로 출범시켰다. 다음 해결 주제는 '말도 많고 탈도 많던' 국제과학비즈니스벨트(과학벨트) 사업이었다. 그는 민간 전문가들로 구성된 '국제과학비즈니스벨트위원회'를 구성해 2년여를 끌어온 과학벨트 입지 선정을 지난 5월 마무리했다. 과학벨트 사업은 여전히 국내외 과학자들의 관심 대상 0순위다. 올 연말 기초과학연구원이 설립되고 내년엔 기초과학연구원 산하 연구단 25개가 선정된다. 과학자들에게 새로운 연구 기회가 생기는 셈이다.

이 글은 지난 5월 29일 본 협회에서 주최한 세계도서의해 기념 강연회에서 “도서관학과 정보과학의 최근연양”이란 주제로 강연한 내용을 간추려 정리한 것이다. 연사 장기택 선생은 1962년에 도미하여 교육심리학 및 Documentation and Information Science를 전공하였다. 1968년에는 Appalachia 교육정보센터의 소장을 역임하였으며 현재는 미국심리학회(APA)의 National Information System for Psychology (NISP)개발 Project의 선임 정보전문가로 활약주이다. 따라서 금번 KIST의 초청으로 일시 귀국하여 약 2개월간 체한하는동안 선생의 바쁜 일정의 틈을 내어 고국의 도서관과 동지들을 위해 강연회를 갖었든 것이다.

Pentagraphs are used to supply electric power to train via trolley lines. The higher train speed is, the higher voltage and current levels 8u. Since electric power is supplied with slinding contact, localized abrasion is inevitable. It is difficult and dangerous to measure their shape manually. Measurement system of pentagraph slider with ultrasonic processing has been reported. In this paper, measurement system with image processing is proposed. The system consists of CCD cameras, image grabber board, and PC operated on Windows'95. Image processing algorithms are presented and some results are illustrated.
