Development of 15W Portable lighting system using solar cell (Solar cell을 이용한 휴대용 15W lighting system 개발)

  • Solar Cell을 이용한 15W 휴대용 조명 시스템을 개발하기 위하여, 휴대용에 적합한 solar cell을 선정하고, Solar Cell을 충전하기 위한 태양광 궤적 변화에 대한 Simulation을 행하였으며, 1W 백색 LED 6EA를 사용하여 휴대용 LED Lighting System을 개발하였다. LED Lighting System은 solar cell 충방전 회로 및 LED SMPS 구동회로 설계, 글레어차단을 위한 리플렉터 설계, 방열 설계 및 기구 구조 설계를 통하여 개발되었으며, 직접 시제품을 제작하고 그 성능을 측정하였다.

  • Daylight responsive dimming systems are one of lighting control systems which are to control artificial lightings using available daylight for energy savings. This system is not popular because useful daylight is usually blocked by uncontrolled passive shading systems in buildings. It is necessary to integrate daylight responsive dimming systems and automata! roller shading systems. In this research, mock-up test is performed to analyze the daylight distributions in three different rooms for integrated systems. Roller shades are installed in two rooms. One is fully downed and the other is controlled by sun profile angle. The other room has no shading system as a reference room.

  • As greenhouse gas emissions have been increasing in the world, global warming is being recognized as a cause of the global problems like climate change. This is closely associated the fossil fuels. Thus renewable energy has been brought to the attention of many people as the upcoming alternative energy source to cope with the fossil drain and increased environmental regulations. Especially, the solar energy among renewable energy has drastically increased. In this study, we calculate on daylight ratio about the solar energy for buildings based on digital surface model. The digital surface model was made using the spatial information data. And it was simulated the shadow analysis using SAS. Therefore, it was suitable places to utilize the solar energy in the Gyeongsan city. Consequently, the daylight ratio was considered important factor to select region of the industry of the solar light power generation.

  • In this paper, it is analysed the spectrum of optical fiber output through a sunlight collector system. Also the lighting environments under the optical fiber bundles are predicted when applied to interior lighting by using a simulation program. As the result its feasibility as an interior lighting source shows any serious problem except the system cost.

  • This paper presents a basic energy performance data of microturbine, renewable Energy(BIPV and Solar Collector System) and a hybrid energy system(geothermal system and microturbine) installed in hospital building. The efficiency of solar collector and BIPV system was 30[%], 10[%] individually, and lower than micro turbines. Finally, in energy performance aspect, microturbine and geothermal source heat pump system were a high-efficiency system in hospital building. It is confirmed hybrid energy systems also show the most powerful alternative energy system for green hospital building from the simulation results.

A Design and Performance Evaluation of Differentiated Daylight-Glazing Systems (가변 투과시스템의 광제어 특성을 고려한 통합 채광시스템의 적용성 평가에 관한 연구)

  • This research aimed to generate two points of daylighting application as follows: 1) providing daylight performance data with a variety of glazing materials for a large window and 2) designing and evaluating an experimental type of differentiated window. For this purpose, we compared the daylight and distribution performance of new defined type of window configuration to the conventional window counterpart with a variety of glazing materials. The comparison was made for a deep, south-facing perimeter zone with large window, without any interior obstruction. The conventional window is the base single homogeneous glass pane, where as the differentiated window uses of two different glazings; an upper daylight glazing with high visible transmission and lower view window with lower transmittal glass. The daylight performance data was translated into a ratio between outdoor illuminance and the interiors. The simulated analysis of the conventional window indicates that the interior light levels have been changed proportionally dependent on the transmittance of the applied glass. The comparison of daylight distribution analysis showed that the differentiated window has lots of photometric advantage by the optical function of upper daylight window. In particular, the contribution of higher daylight window into deep rear space must be stressed for daylighting application.

휴대폰에서의 홍채인식 연구

  • 최근 휴대폰에서 개인 정보 보안의 중요성이 대두되고 있으며, 이에 따라 생체인식 기능을 내장한 휴대폰에 관심이 집중되고 있으므로, 본 논문에서는 휴대용 기기에 홍채인식기술을 적용하기 위한 방법을 제안하고 하다. 기존의 홍채인식 알고리즘은 인식을 위해 확대된 홍채영상을 사용하여 처리하였고, 이러한 홍채영상을 획득하기 위해서 고 배율의 줌 렌즈(zoom lens)와 초점 렌즈(focus lens)를 사용하였다. 그런데, 휴대폰에서의 홍채인식을 시도하기 위해 줌렌즈와 초점렌즈를 장착하게 되면 가격이 상승하고 부피가 증가되어, 작고 휴대하기 편리한 휴대폰의 특징에 맞지 않아 사용하기 어려운 문제가 있다. 그러나 최근 휴대폰의 멀티미디어 기기 융복합 추세로 인해 휴대폰 내에 장착된 메가 픽셀 카메라(Mega-pixel Camera)의 성능이 급속히 발전함에 따라, 고 배율의 줌, 초점 렌즈 없이도 확대된 홍채영상의 획득이 가능하게 되었다. 즉, 메가 픽셀 카메라 폰을 사용하여 사용자로부터 원거리에서 취득한 얼굴영상에서 홍채 영역이 홍채인식을 위해 충분한 픽셀정보를 가지게 된다. 그러나 이러한 경우 입력 얼굴영상에서 눈 영역을 먼저 찾는 과정이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 얼굴영상에서 각막에 의해 반사되는 조명 반사광을 기반으로 휴대폰에서의 홍채인식을 위한 고속 동공검출 방법을 제안한다. 또한 입력 영상 신호를 디지털 신호로 변환하는 과정에서 밝기와 대조 값을 조정하여 동공의 검은 영역과 조명 밝은 반사 위치를 추출함으로써, 정확한 홍채 영역을 보다 빠르고 쉽게 추출할 수 있는 방법 역시 제안한다. 그리고 일반적으로 휴대폰에서 홍채 인식의 경우 손으로 들고 사용하므로, 손 흔들림에 의한 영상 흐림 현상이 빈번하게 발생하게 된다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 영상 복원 기법을 적용하여 흐려진 홍채 영상을 복원하는 기법을 제안한다. 마지막으로, 휴대폰의 경우 실외에서 사용이 빈번함으로, 입력 홍채 영상에서 태양광에 의한 영향을 많이 받게 된다. 이러한 문제를 해결하여 홍채 인식 성능을 개선할 수 있는 방법 역시 소개하고자 한다.

Electrical Conduction Mechanism of AZO Thin Film and Photo-Electric Conversion Efficiency of Film-Typed Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (AZO 박막의 전기전도특성 및 필름형 염료 태양전지의 광전 변환 특성)

  • In this paper, AZO thin film was deposited on polyethylene terephthalate(PET) substrate by r. f. magnetron sputtering method from a ZnO target mixed with 2[wt%] Al2O3. The flexible film-typed dye sensitized solar cell(F-DSC) was fabricated and photo-electric conversion efficiency was investigated. The results showed that the minimum resistivity and the maximum deposition rate of AZO conducting film were recorded as $1.8{\times}10^{-3}[{\Omega}{\cdot}cm]$ and 25.5[nm/min], respectively at r.f. power of 220[W]. From the analysis of XPS data an improvement of electrical resistivity or an increase in carrier concentration with increasing sputtering power may be related to the generation of lattice imperfections as a result of increasing component ratio of O1s/Zn2p, which generates donor carriers or active growth of crystalline grain. The photo-electric conversion efficiency of F-DSC with AZO conducting electrode was over 2.79[%], which was comparable as that with commercially available ITO electrode.

Estimation of the Optimal Generation Capacity of Solar-Wind Hybrid Power System for Economic Operations (태양광-풍력 복합발전시스템의 경제적 운용을 위한 최적 용량 산정에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, a technique that estimate the optimal capacity of the solar-wind hybrid power system for minimizing the total monthly electric power expenses is presented. The hybrid power system is assumed to be operated in connection with the utility power system and electric bill be paid for the power not covered by the hybrid system generation. Monthly generation cost is estimated based on total life-cycle cost analysis. The monthly utility power bill is assumed to be increased quadratically in proportion with the net utility power consumption which is the difference between the total monthly load minus the hybrid system generations. Test results demonstrate applications potential of the proposed technique.
