  • The animatronics technique could be very important fact of technique not only to achieve full completion of visible image but also to offer lots of chances to express images by merging CG, special effects and special devices. In this thesis, we design and implement the Zigbee-based wireless transceiver and communication program to control animal animatronics such as a dog and bear. The wireless control utilizing the Zigbee protocol is that electrically consumption is more small than the Bluetooth and reliability of data transmission is better. The implemented control systems and program have the normal and replay function for control of animal models. This functions and operability are tested by a designed animatronics prototype under the wireless environment.

  • Open operating system, Linux is the traditional Web, E-mail, DNS, FTP server, as well as being used in Cloud and Big data infrastructure. In addition, Linux is also used like a desktop or mobile devices, smart TV and cars. In particular, stepping up to the IoT era at this time is expected to be greater proportion occupied by Linux. As the use of Linux has increased security has emerged as an important factor. User management is core of Linux system security. In this paper, Classifying Linux user and analyzed the role of the user-specific file. Finally, we analyzed the linux management technologies and useful user security tools.

  • The objective of this paper is to show how digital signal processing experiment(DSPE) was designed and to present its experimental results in orbit and on the ground. The multi-missional and flexible DSPE was designed in a reliable manner. Among several experiments executed in orbit and on the ground, a high-speed(19.2kbps) software modulator experiment was discussed in this paper. A 32bit floating-type TMS320C30, which was developed for commercial purposes, was used on LEO micro-satellites, KITSAT-1 and KITSAT-2. This digital signal processor(DSP) can be applied to the various payloads of the next generation satellites.

  • 경희대학교와 UC Berkeley, Imperial College London에서 공동으로 진행하는 TRIO-CINEMA Mission(TRiplet Ionosphere Observatory-Cubesat for Ion, Neutral, Electron and MAgnetic fields)은 총 3기의 초소형 위성으로 구성되어 있다. 3기의 위성은 고도 650~800km 상공의 태양동주기 궤도운동을 예상하고 있으며, 지구 근접공간의 입자 검출과 자기장 측정의 과학 임무를 맡게 된다. TRIO-CINEMA 비행 모델(Flight Model)의 환경시험은 진동시험과 열진공시험으로 진행되었다. 진동시험은 X, Y, Z 세 축에 대해 Sine 과 Random 모드로 진행되었다. TRIO-CINEMA가 탑재 될 러시아의 드네프르 로켓의 요구사항은 각 축에서 20Hz 이상의 고유진동수, Sine의 경우 최대 0.8G와 4oct/min Sweep Rate, Random의 경우 5.2Grms 와 35초의 지속시간에서의 안정성을 만족하는 것이다. 시험 결과 TRIO-CINEMA가 요구사항을 모두 만족시키는 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 열 주기 시험(Thermal Cycling Test)을 진행하여 우주공간에서 위성 시스템이 정상 동작하는지에 대한 신뢰성을 검증하였다. 열주기 시험은 미국 MIL표준 값을 참고하여 $10^{-6}Torr$에서 $-20{\sim}30^{\circ}C$의 온도를 주었으며, 시험을 진행하는 동안과 시험 후에 위성이 정상작동 함을 확인하였다. 이에 본 연구의 시험 방법과 그 결과를 기술하였다.

  • 임베디드 시스템을 인터넷에 접속할 수 있도록 하는 초소형의 임베디드 웹서버는 산업 현장에서 가정에 이르기까지 널리 활용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷을 통해 DGPS 간이 기준국의 보정 정보를 항체에게 제공하기 위한 임베디드 웹서버를 제안하였다. 제안한 간이 기준국용 임베디드 웹서버는 HTTP 1.0과 1.1 표준에서 제시한 구조를 기반으로 설계 가능하다. HTTP 1.0 표준을 기반으로 한 서버는 클라이언트의 요청을 순차적으로 처리하는 반면, HTTP 1.1 표준을 기반으로 한 서버는 클라이언트에 대하여 독립된 프로세스를 할당하여 처리한다. 간이 기준국에 적합한 서버 구조를 결정하기 위하여 각 서버 프로그램의 구조 및 특징을 비교하고 네트워크 인터페이스를 가지는 GPS 수신기에 상용의 실시간 운영체제를 기반으로 구현하였다. PC 내부에 탑재한 상용의 웹브라우저를 통하여 제안한 임베디드 웹서버에 접속하여 DGPS 간이 기준국의 보정 정보를 수신하는 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과 제안한 임베디드 웹서버의 구조가 DGPS 간이 기준국에 적합함을 확인하였다.

A Study on Mobile Antenna System Design with Tri-band Operation for Broadband Satellite Communications and DBS Reception (광대역 위성 통신/방송용 삼중 대역 이동형 안테나 시스템 설계에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, it is described about the tri-band mobile antenna system design to provide broadband multimedia and direct broadcasting services using goo-stationary Koreasat 3, simultaneously operated in Ka/K/Ku band. The radiating part of the antenna system with a fan beam characteristic in the elevation plane is composed of the quasi-offset dual shaped reflector and the tri-band feeder. The tri-band feeder is also composed of the Ka/K dual band feeder with the protruding dielectric rod, the circular polarizer, the ortho-mode transducer and the circular-polarized Ku band feed array. Especially, the Ka/K dual band circular polarizer was realized firstly using the comb-type structure. For fast satellite-tracking on the movement, the Ku band feed array has the structure of the $2{\times}2$ active phased array which can make electrical beams. And, the circular-polarized characteristic in the feed array was improved by $90^{\circ}$ rotating arrangement of four radiating elements polarized circularly by a $90^{\circ}$ hybrid coupler, respectively. Four beam forming channels to make electrical beams at Ku band are divided into the main beam channel and the tracking beam channel in the output, and noise temperature characteristics of each channel were analyzed on the basis of the contributions of internal sub_units. From the fabricated antenna system, the output power at $P_{1dBc}$ of Ka_Tx channel was measured more than 34.1 dBm and the measured noise figures of K/Ku_Rx channels were less than 2.4 dB and 1.5 dB, respectively, over the operating band. The radiation patterns with co- and cross-polarization in the tri-band were measured using a near-field measurement in the anechoic chamber. Especially, Ku radiation patterns were measured after correcting each initial phase of active channels with partial radiation patterns obtained from the independent excitation of each channel. The antenna gains measured in Ka/K/Ku band of the antenna system were more than 39.6 dBi, 37.5 dBi, 29.6 dBi, respectively. And, the antenna system showed good system performances such as Ka_Tx EIRP more than 43.7 dBW and K/Ku_Rx G/T more than 13.2 dB/K and 7.12 dB/K, respectively.

  • The researches and developments to provide multimedia communication services such as Video on Demand(VoDJ), real time video phonc and multipoint vidco conferencing on broadband ISDN environmcnts have been proceeded with activity. Specifications for Vol) services which is worked by Digital Audio-Visual Council(DAVIC) to support detail technologies including total service system that is consist of VoD server. delive[\! networl, and Set-Top Box(STB) had been already finished and ITU-T SG16 also recommended the standards of H.300 series terminal aspects for conversational multimedia services, But the architectures of multimedia tenninals recommended and specified by these organizations do not have an efficient st11lcture to provide all of retrieval, distrihution and conversational service due to a different point of view about multimedia terminals and services. In this paper, we analyzed the recornmendatio!E and the specifications of intemational public and private organizations like lTU-T, DAVIC and ATM forum. As a result of these analysis. we propose an efficient terminal architecture, and then we have designed, lmplemented the multimedia communication terminal for offering VoI) and real- time conversation ,,, functional module test according to the individual commumication service session and confirined the validiry or terminal implemented to be used on broadband ISDK environments.

  • Recently, Urban has been innovated through u-City and Smart City. Urban facility management system is developing using the latest IT technology for real-time monitoring and prevention. In this paper, we propose an UOID(Unique Object IDentification), a standard location-based ID system for urban facility object and develop the UOID service system based on network for innovation of urban facility management system. The system has been tested through Test-bed for connectivity and stability. We wish that the proposed UOID and network service system manages u-City facilities effectively and also provides various ubiquitous services to the citizen, one of the integrate service of u-City platform.

  • In this paper, we introduce an integrated augmented reality system using a small camera and a projector. We extract three-dimensional information of an object with a small portable camera and a projector by using a structured light system. We develop the concept of the virtual camera to generalize the projection method so that the image can be projected at a desired position with only the mesh of the object to be projected without computing the mapping between specific point sets. Therefore, it is possible to project not only simple planes but also complex curved surfaces to desired positions without complicated geometric calculation. Based on a robot with a small camera and a projector, it will largely explain the projector-camera system calibration, the calculation of the position of the recognized object, and the image projection method using the virtual camera concept.

A Design Control System of Hybrid Underwater Glider and Performance Test (하이브리드 수중 글라이더의 제어 시스템 설계 및 성능 시험)

  • In this paper, we studied the control of the hybrid underwater glider (HUG), which has the advantage of high precision route search function and long-term mission capability. Dynamic modeling of HUG is based on numerical model of the attitude controller and buoyancy engine, thruster. We designed the control part considering the smooth control and precise sailing of HUG. A buoyancy engine capable of inhaling water is designed to control the buoyancy of HUG. And mass shifter carrying the battery was designed for controlling pitching motion of HUG. A control system for controlling the buoyancy engine and the attitude controller was constructed. In order to verify performance, we performed water tank test using manufactured HUG.
