p-Version Static Infinite Element for Representing Various Displacement Decay Characteristics (다양한 변위감쇠특성을 고려할 수 있는 p-버전 정적 무한요소)

  • This paper presents a two dimensional p-version static infinite element for analyzing $1/r^n$ displacement decay type problems in unbounded media. The proposed element is developed by using shape functions based on approximate expressions of an analytical solution. Numerical results are presented for an opening in a homogeneous elastic infinite medium and a rigid footing rested on a homogeneous elastic half-space. The numerical results show the effectiveness of the proposed infinite element.

  • 더블히트파이프장치를 이용하여 순수 Ar, Hg 및 Ar-Hg 혼합증기의 전자이동속도를 온도는 순수 Ar의 경우 293[.deg.K], Hg의 경우 453-540[.deg.K]. Ar-Hg 혼합증기의 경우 320[.deg.K], E/N은 0.4~10[Td], 기체압력은 10~100[Torr]범위에서 유도전류법에 의해 측정하였다. 한편 볼츠만 방정식의 Backward Prolongation계산법으로 전자에너지분포함수를 구하고 그 값으로부터 전자수송특성을 산출하여 실험치와 비교하고 탄성 및 비탄성 충돌 단면적을 결정하였다. 그리고 Ar기체에 Hg증기를 0.5%, 1%, 5%, 10% 혼합하였을 때의 전자에너지분포함수와 전자이동속도를 산출하고 그에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다.

Dynamic Characteristics of the Beam Axially Moving Over Multiple Elastic Supports (다수의 탄성지지대 위를 이동하는 보 구조물의 동특성 해석)

  • This paper investigates the dynamic characteristics of a beam axially moving over multiple elastic supports. The spectral element matrix is derived first for the axially moving beam element and then it is used to formulate the spectral element matrix for the moving beam element with an interim elastic support. The moving speed dependance of the eigenvalues is numerically investigated by varying the applied axial tension and the stiffness of the elastic supports. Numerical results show that the fundamental eigenvalue vanishes first at the critical moving speed to generate the static instability.

  • Recently, a top record of hourly-based rainfall has been changed annually and flood damages of road have increased. To solve this problem, pavements for drainage were developed and practically constructed but there was no considerations on sub-base. In this research, we proposed standard for distribution of particle size of sub-base to consider strength characteristic and drainage property. We focused to compare coefficients strength and permeability by laboratory tests. Prior to tests, 4 samples were selected under the consideration on the international or domestic design guideline. In the tests, strength characteristics were compared with resilient modulus. Also, permeability characteristics were compared with coefficient of upward and downward permeability. Resilient modulus was determined with MR test using cyclic triaxial testing system. Two permeability tests were carried out. One is variable head permeability test for downward drainage and the other is Rowe Cell test for upward drainage. In the case of Rowe Cell test, middle-sized sampler with 150mm diameter was used for this study. Consequentially, we tried to find the optimum distribution of particle size to satisfy both of strength and permeability characteristics for sub-base.

  • The integrity assessment of the bridge behavior is generalized by field data of a static load-deformation curve and dynamic properties such as impact factors and natural frequencies. Evaluating it with numerical analysis is a reasonable method. The results of the mockup test and the numerical analysis are corresponded with each other since the behavior of service load proceeds in elastic region. In case of the dynamic behavior of structure, especially for the analysis of vibration, the result of the mockup test differs from the result of numerical analysis a little due to the geometric shape and non-homogeneous materials. In order to converge on these tolerances, this study suggested several numerical models, analyzed the sensitivity and finally offered a practical modeling method for the estimation of bridge on the basis of the result of mockup test. Based on the model substituted concrete section for strands section, the natural frequency of the model composed with axial stiffness of strands or the model applied the modified modulus of elasticity was closest with the result of the mockup test.

  • The sensory and instrumental characteristics of different water to brown rice ratio with pressure and electric cookers were examined. The result of sensory evaluation revealed more significant differences in most of taste, texture, appearance, overall eating quality. The difference of sensory characteristics according to the types of cookers and the difference water to brown rice ratio showed the highest preference nonwaxy brown rice 1.4 and waxy brown rice with pressure cooker The instrumental measurement of cooked brown rice using instron showed that the difference between different water to brown rice ratio and pressure cooker. Especially hardness in instrumental characteristics revealed highly significant difference.

  • In this paper, elastic and plastic adhesion index was very important in deciding adhesive characteristics and varying elastic and plastic index, dimensionless load and pull-off force were analyzed and simulated. Finally, using AFM, experimental surface roughness parameters of substrates and pull-off force between tip and substrates were produced. Using these values, pull-off forces were calculated and were compared with experimental pull-off forces. Through simulation and experiment, it was found that interaction of asperity also had very important influence on adhesive contact.

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the behavior of superstructure considering several factors such as change of pile rigidity, soil characteristics, and the constraint condition of support. The results of this study are as follows: 1. Pile-rigidity computed by the rotating deformed plane method is continuously varied up to approximately 5D(D=diameter of pile) below the ground level. This result is consistent with the previous study$^{(12)}$, in which the pile deformation occurs at approximately $3{\sim}6$ times of pile diameter from the ground level. 2. For bridge structure-pile system, analytical results of internal forces and deformations show different values for modified pile rigidity and unchanged pile rigidity. 3. Detaild analysis considering modified pile rigidity is required for the long-span bridge design with structure pile system.

  • In this study we carried out the in situ test in order to explore the grouting effects of fracture zone on mechanical properties and permeability in tunnel. After consolidation grouting the rock mass averaged 2.30 in the modulus of deformation and 2.49 in the modulus of elasticity. The results obtained through this study are as follows. (1) With advance of the injection steps, the total cement take shows uniformity of the rock mass. (2) After consolidation grouting the improvement of permeability can be identified by reduction of Lugeon values. (3) Grouting injection can improve deformability and strength of rock mass. (4) More mechanical improvement appears for more deformable rock mass before grouting injection.

  • 변압기 코어소재로 사용하는 방향성 규소강판의 가공 방법에 따른 물성을 조사하기 위하여 테이프 와인딩 코어 형태, 곡률반경을 20, 30, 40mm로 하여 토로이달 형태 변압기 시료의 B-H 자성 특성을 조사하였다. 곡률반경이 40mm, 높이는 10mm의 비율에서 보자력은 0.02Oe, 포화자속밀도는 0.98, 1.85T으로 보자력(Hc)은 낮고 포화자속일도(Bs)는 제일 큰 값을 나타내었고, 국내에서 생산되고 있는 방향성 규소강판의 자속밀도값 보다 약간 크게 나타났으며, 본 연구로부터 방향성 규소강판을 이용하여 권자심 코어을 제작할 때 고려해야하는 탄성변형에 대한 중요성과 코어 소재의 가공방법이 자기적 특성에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 또한 토로이달 코어형태의 변압기를 설계 제작시 높이와 곡율반경, 가공 방법에 따라 용량, 효율 등이 다르므로 사전에 소재의 물성을 면밀히 검토 후에 전기기기에 적용해야함을 재확인하였다.
